NICE VISIT BUT FOOD COULD BE BETTER We recently visited EPCOT during its International Festival of the Holidays. We decided to do the Candlelight Processional dining package with a large group of friends and family at the Biergarten Restaurant (World Showcase - Germany) ($71 for a seat at the Candlelight Processional show and an all you can eat buffet that included one beverage, beer or wine). But for the food, we enjoyed our visit to Biergarten. Although the restaurant is indoor, the setting is a staged outdoor courtyard with a waterwheel, building fronts and for the holidays, swags of holly and twinkling lights. There are three levels that overlook the stage. Although we were seated at the far end, we had a good view of the show that included a three man polka band, a musical glasses performance, music played with cow bells and alpenhorns and holiday music. We appreciated that we were not rushed during our early 4 p.m. dinner - we were able to see the music program twice . While we enjoyed the excellent service, ambiance and fun entertainment, we felt the food could have been much better. It seemed like most of the food was prepared off-site and simply heated up for service. We would have preferred a few well-prepared dishes to the large selection of meh dishes. The Biergarten buffet was very large with many choices. The best dishes were the very good baked salmon and a tangy cold beet salad. The large salad bar was disappointing - we could taste no dill in the cucumber salad and the potato salad had undercooked potatoes. The star of the dinner should have been a thinly pounded pork schnitzel with a light crispy breading - instead the pork schnitzel was a thick slice of meat that resembled a frozen chicken nugget. Other dishes included a tender sauerbraten that was too similar in flavor to the sliced veal in gravy, plain roast chicken, tasty meatballs, dense bread meatballs (not good), a thick bland cheese sauce touted as a soup, pretzel rolls that were as hard as a pretzel, hard spaetzle, sliced sausages (cold) and a liverwurst spread. Kids' meal dishes included a bland macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets. Desserts were disappointing: a dense apple strudel with a thick overcooked filling and pretty mini pastries that included a black forest dessert and a caramel dessert that each had layers that tasted like instant pudding. Great show and service! Food has declined since before Covid, when I was here last, especially for the extremely high price. The food was not hot, which is so annoying. The beer cheese soup was my favorite item. There used to be a large variety of sausages and cheeses. Today there were 2 types of sausage (that were not hot) and one type of cheese. That's pretty bad for a place that is a German themed buffet at $50.00 per person. There wasn't even mashed potatoes with gravy, which is a shame and cheap on the restaurant's part. First time customer and I loved the decor!!! And I didn't know there was a show, so that was a pleasant surprise. I am not a huge fan of buffets, but this is the only place we could get reservations for the candlelight dinner show. Our server was super friendly and explained how he would bring drinks and we could go get our food. There are 2 buffet lines, with the same food in each line. First a salad bar, then a variety of sausages, sauerkraut, potatoes, meatballs, a carving station, etc. There was a bit pot of beer cheddar soup, along with pretzel rolls also. First , nothing but the soup was hot. The soup was excellent. Everything else was nothing special. The pork schnitzel was super tough so I gave up on that. O. M. G. when I tell you this place is better than medieval times I mean it! Literally everyone and their mother was up on their feet and dancing!! I've never had such a fun, amazing experience at a restaurant. And this is in a theme park so I didn't think it was going to be that good but I was smiling the whole time the service was super good!! A buffet of German delights with entertainment located in Epcot! Entertainment lasts about 15 minutes then breaks for about another 30 minutes. My team created a reservation two months prior for a weekday dinner and it was about 80% packed. We had four tables seated in the back, but it was elevated for easy viewing of the stage. People of all ages were dancing on stage as music played. There is food located left and right of the entrance. Unfortunately, some of us didnt like any of the food as it was either: over greased, dry, tasteless, or overly sweet. Only positive side were the waiters/waitresses and the drinks. Very impressive looking hall of a restaurant. Once you check in and they are ready for you, you will be escorted to your seat. The setup is like staium seating in a half circle around a stage. The decor is what America thinks is the traditional old fashioned German look. Sorry, as an actual German, this is fairly kitschy to me. I shall proceed with a gentler attitude... The staff of course wears Bavarian clothing and luckily does mostly originate from Germany and speaks the language. The large buffet offers a lot of German dishes, unfortunately a lot of it not well executed. Honestly, no wonder 'German' food is not very popular, since it's hardly recognizable beyond the names of the dishes. However, if one has no idea what it should taste like, this will probably be a good experience. The best things I have found on the buffet were the little weenies and the potato dumplings found in the kids section, the Sauerbraten (albeit the raisins are a northern thing), the strudel is not too bad either and the tossed salad. I enjoyed a Spezi, unfortunately that was much sweeter than it is at home, but at least it gives you an idea. The bier is gut though. Anyway, I would come here again simply because of the surroundings, the great staff, the atmosphere and the entertainment. There are shows almost every hour or so and those are very entertaining. There are so many good food options at Epcot, but this is one that you can't go wrong with if you had to pick it as part of your itinerary. This replica of a German beer hall gets it all right, the ambiance, the food variety and the entertainment value. All of it makes for a really fun night out with the family or your loved ones. The drinks were also stellar as you'd expect - this is a beer hall after all - and the beer flight was excellent. I was an especially big fan of the grapefruit beer which was not just refreshing after a hot day, but also rather tasty. The food variety is what you'd expect, lots of sausages, salads, cabbage, schnitzel and other meats along with a big dessert section full of strudel and other tasty items. I really enjoyed my share of food indulgences here and the family had a wonderful time too. The band that showed up roughly every 1.5 hours was also fun to watch and played well to the crowd. read more

I feel a bit guilty for writing this review because the atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic. It gave me the feeling of being in Oktoberfest in Germany. The service was also excellent. Our server, Benjamin, was very friendly. Although he forgot to refill our drinks, and someone at the carving station wasn't that nice, overall it was a great experience. However, the food was not very impressive. I did not like anything in particular. Everything I tried was too salty for my taste. I wish they had the Schweinshaxe. Nevertheless, the show was fantastic and enjoyable. When you leave Biergarden after going for the first time you will leave with one of three thoughts: (i) this place is fun;(ii) the place is annoying; or (iii) this place is fun and annoying (most likely). The Setting: When you walk through the doors you are transported from central florida to the heart of Oktoberfest in Munich at dusk. The space is stunning and Disney has done an excellent job here. Biergarden is one of Epcot's biggest restaurants, if not the biggest, and the tables are laid out in tiers in a semi-circle facing the stage so that everyone has a decent view of the entertainment. Dining here is communal, with groups being seated together and tables seating 10-12, which can either be not a big deal or a major nuance if you get seated with extra-friendly sort of folks and/or small children. Reservations are not terribly hard to come by even last minute, although you may wind up dining at an odd time. Around every hour there is live German entertainment which is a great value add to the price here. It can get loud but the band does not perform for very long. The restaurant itself is loud alone even without the music and rather chaotic- the layout of the space and the constant hustle and bustle of waitresses and patrons delivering and taking food is a lot, so those with sensory issues may want to avoid. Your girlfriend also may not be the happiest if you opt to take her to this establishment for dinner rather than one of the more romantic offerings like Le Cellier or one of the restaurants in the France pavilion. The drinks: The beer selection here is apparently very good (I am not a big beer drinker so I can't judge) and the thing to do is get the huge stein....So when in "Munich", go for it. The beer flights are also very popular. There is wine as well but nothing to talk about there. The food: This is a buffet, with the buffet having two sides which mostly mirror each other. The offerings are what you would expect: sausages, schnitzel, spaetzle, sauerkraut, german salads, and some American dishes peppered in. There is also a separate carving and kid's station. The last time we went, unfortunately, was at the end of the night (at 7:30; they close at 8). The first side of the buffet was shutting down when we arrived and the items on the remaining side were dry, lukewarm at best, and not being refilled. Carving station was also abandoned a few minutes after we got there. Good to know if we go back but I assumed that as they were seating people through 7:55 on the app, that the buffet would still be fully up and running til around 8:30. Wrong. 3/10 experience and definitely not worth the price. Previously, however, the food has been decent and ,even if not the best, certainly a novelty as German restaurants in our area are almost non-existent. But that was years ago and I don't know if our last experience was an anomaly or their new normal. The food, regardless of whether it's good or not, is VERY heavy and at around $50 a person you know you are going to eat a fair amount of it, - so I would plan this for a dinner visit expecting to leave in a food coma rather than for lunch when you still have half a day ahead of you. Will I go back? Yea I think I would give it another go if I was hungry enough and okay with the volume and having to talk to strangers. Is it a huge priority? No. The theming is great but so is San Angel Inn and I always find that experience to be way more relaxing. read more

I recently came here for the first time on May 15th. I put the reservation down under my name and told the cast member my party had arrived. All the hostess I believe about 5-6 females were standing around, and when they say my last name being "Islam" immediately started snickering around making disgusting faces. Although there were so many servers there, no one wanted to help until finally 1 exclaimed "ugh I guess I'll do it". I don't care about your political and personal views and beliefs, this is Disney world. I might not even be practicing myself but to start treating me rudely solely because of my last name is Islam, is disgusting behavior coming out of Disney. Food was terrible as well and not worth it. Biergarten is a German restaurant located in the Germany portion of Disney's Epcot them park. Me and my family stopped in Thai buffet style establishment while on our recent visit to the Disney world parks during our Epcot visit. The exterior and interior here are wonderful. Very massive inside with a stage that features love German music and instruments which made for a fun and lively atmosphere. You either pay an adult or child's fee and have access to an all you can eat buffet. The buffet has plenty of popular and tasty German options and a very impressive and extensive dessert buffet as well. Our service on our visit was top notch. Our waitress kept our German glass mugs full with sodas. The food here was really good. I personally enjoyed the entire desserts buffet, the pretzel and beer cheese and the schnitzel. My wife and oldest was a huge fan of the roast. Overall very cool and tasty place. Great place to fill your belly, get in some ac, become acclimated with German culture, music and food and have a good bang for your buck meal. All food in Disney parks are high. Most restaurants in Epcot are very high. This is no exception but with the Buffett style and large options of food this makes it as good of a value good wise you will get at a Disney park eatery. read more

We bought a package that gave us preferred seating for the Blue October concert. The package included dinner here at Biergarten. The inside is Interesting... a very big open space with a stage and designed to look like the middle of an old German town. Our sever was fantastic... always around always there when needed and just always very nice. Many servers could learn a lot from her! The food is all German style: schnitzel, sausages, potato salad, meatballs, various deserts, ros last beef hand carved in front if you, cheddar beer soup, etc. however it is all served buffet style. The prices are a bit high for buffet food! It might have been ok if it was good buffet food but in general it was not. The schnitzel obviously had been sitting there too long... it was way dry. The soup was horrendous! I mean gag you bad! Don't eat the soup! The deserts were ok but mostly reminded me of day old store bough stuff... The sausages and sauerkraut were good as well as the meat balls. But at almost $50 a plate I think there should have been more good food then this. I was not impressed. They did have a cute show where some old guys played various instruments like the cow bells, or the xylophone... it was a cool show. Coming here it was kinda random as my friend and I just wanted to eat something yummy after spending the whole day in multiple parks and let me say this totally hit the spot in soo many ways! This is a buffet restaurant where you can get as much of whatever you want when you want as there's a ton of options here from sausage to more sausage to a sausage salad along with potatoes and more potatoes along with some potato salad and then some other random things with a few beers! So basically you get to pick and choose what you wanna get and make just plates of random goodness but don't forget the strudel as that's just something that adds to what's already just that good! They also have some live Entertainment with a German band playing while you eat so that makes for just that much more fun while you are enjoying this really cool restaurant that feels as if it's a dinner show inside! The service was basically they bring you drinks and take your empty plates nothing to crazy but it was definitely good and helped clear the stack when we had finished them! My wife, daughter and boyfriend, and I dined here for lunch on a Sunday. My expectations were exceeded and we had a great time and meal. The price of admission is steep though for the all you care to eat buffet of German yumminess. We were seated in the front with a great view of the stage for the hourly performances. The tables are meant to be shared community style but in these days and times we had the eight seats all to ourselves. Our server promptly appeared, gave us directions on how to navigate the buffet, apprised us of our drink options and collected our choices of beer. There are four German beers to select from with a half or full liter glass mug size option. We each ordered something different with the boyfriend going big. My half size Pilsner was delicious and the perfect size. You can get a to go cup though to bring any leftover beer with you. The buffet was well stocked with lots of options. There is a salad bar to start with soup and pretzels. I skipped this though and went right for the mains. I tried the brat, sausages, fall apart roast, roast pork from the carver and pork schnitzel. Apart from the sliced roast pork, I found them all very delicious. I think I goofed and didn't pair the applesauce with the pork that I didn't find flavorful. In addition, I threw on som sauerkraut and a couple spoons of side salads along with spaetzle. Dessert is equally tempting. I tried the chocolate Ho-Ho looking cake, a blueberry crumb and cheesecake with a berry compote. All great. There was also a very tempting warm apple strudel but I had no more room. The show featured four very talented musicians playing various German tunes. They even busted out the cowbells and giant long horns for a couple numbers. We liked it so much we sat through it twice. Okay, dinner AND a show! I had no idea what to expect going to Biergarten but this may be one of my new favorite places on Disney property. I've tried every restaurant in EPCOT's world showcase now, and this one is definitely in my top 3. The atmosphere is so fun. First of all, it feels like you're sitting in the middle of Oktoberfest in actual Germany. It's dusk and your table awaits in the middle of a village. There's a live band that plays every hour or so and the musicians are so talented! They even played a song with just several cowbells!! The food!!!! This place was actually recommended to me by a vegetarian, but there is so much food for both herbivores and carnivores. They have several different salads-- macaroni salad, tomato salad, bean salad, cucumber salad, sausage salad... I could keep going. But, they have just as many meat options as there are salads! Schnitzel, German sausages, sliced pork, fish, etc. And don't even get me started on the beer cheese soup!!!!!!! For drinks, I recommend getting a beer. Especially with the show- several times the musicians sang "in heaven there is no bier, that's why we drink it here!" I had 1L (YES AN ENTIRE LITER) of the German Grapefruit Bier. I'm not a big beer fan, and this one tastes more like a cider. My 1L drink was only $16 which is an unheard of EPCOT drink price. Seriously just come here you won't regret it read more

Biergarten truly delivers in aesthetic, food, and culture of Germany in Epcot. It perfectly transports you to Germany even if you have never visited the country before. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll see a large stage in the center of the room that's well-lit and decorated, which hints at the performance you can expect during your meal. Once you're seated, your server will come over to take your drink orders. My partner tried their beer flight and highly recommended it, as you get to try different flavors of beers available. Now, onto the food. Biergarten is a buffet featuring all varieties of German cuisine, some of which I had never tried before, and many of which took my breath away. One of my favorite items was the beer and cheese soup. It had a slight beer taste, but it was also a cheese chowder that warms your heart. It was raining outside, so for us, it was a perfect item. Other items, like the roast chicken, green beans, and sauerkraut, are more familiar, but their variation of cheese and their bratwursts are delicacies that are not found elsewhere. I outline that to say - I have no idea what the status of this restaurant will be in the future, but while we appeared to be on the tail end of COVID-19, the restaurant remained in its non-buffet state. Instead, they basically bring you a platter of everything they have to offer. I couldn't complain much about that system because we still got to try everything. The first things to come out were the cold dishes: potato salad, cucumber/tomato salad and pasta salad. They also brought out the pretzel bread around the same time. We enjoyed all of it very much as we waited on our hot plate. The hot food honestly consisted of too many things to list here. But my favorites were: the mac-n-cheese and the spaetzle. But aside from those two, everything else ranged from good to very good - there really wasn't a dud on the plate. We also enjoyed the musical performance - especially the guy essentially turned spoons and jars into music. That was very impressive. However, it wouldn't be Disney without charging an exorbitant amount of money. $100 for two people just seemed quite excessive. But hey, as we were leaving Magic Kingdom later that day, my wife paid $14 for a balloon for our son, so I guess $100 for a very large lunch doesn't look too bad in comparison? read more

Too many of the staff spent their time ignoring the clientele and chatted among themselves. The band sounded like it came from the Milwaukee 'burbs. Now the food: the red cabbage ausgeseichnet, the liver wurst ausserordentlich, but the two "German" potato salads terrible, the wiener schnitzel dry and bland. And the four assorted wursts- good heavens! no self- respecting German would serve them much less charge for them- they are spiceless, tasteless, uninspired. If you crave a good wurst, there is a grand hot dog spot out on I-4 off the Disney property. So close this (temporarily) fire the would- be "chefs," appoint Nico head waiter and have him shape up the wait staff. See if you can get that band jobs on a ferry in Lake Michigan. This is a challenge I hope is met and I can return next year to a genuine German restaurant. read more

Biergarten Restaurant - Inside dining area - German Near Me - Lake Buena Vista, Florida

My parents and I visited Epcot recently and decided to book a reservation for a table service restaurant just a few days before. There were only a few options left in the World Showcase, with Biergarten being one of them. After seeing photos of how beautiful the inside was, I immediately got us booked!! This place is stunning... Disney did such a great job with making you feel like you literally walked right into Germany. Inside is themed as Oktoberfest and has a stage where performers will come out every so often. The restaurant is buffet-style, and is SO delicious! Any popular German food you can think of, they will have. I tried items like the rotisserie chicken, pork schnitzel, potato salad, apple strudel, pretzel with cheese and bier soup, and the German spezi to drink. There was not one thing that I didn't like! The pricing also was a pretty good deal for Disney. $46 per person, which includes your drink and dessert. We also received exceptional service! This is a German food and a German stage entertainment. The Buffet was delicious and meatballs were extra good. They had pork loin and sauerkraut was not sour. It was delicious, and the red sauerkraut was also delicious maybe even better than the other huge salad bar, lots of vegetables, and so so many desserts. We will most certainly go back here when we go back to Disney World. I would recommend this place to everybody. It's so nice and cold inside you after you've been walking around in that heat and the food is really good or service was wonderful as well. read more

First time here and it's all you can eat Covid style which means they deliver everything in smaller bite sized portion and give you additional of anything you may like more of. The thing is we don't like to waste food so we were full already from eating and trying all the smaller portions. Instead we would've normally just pick out what we would like to eat and eat more of that. Since we didn't know what they were, we couldn't choose from the start. Their German coke was delicious and their show/entertainment was good. If you want some good authentic German food, this was good. It was recommended by multiple Disney you tubers. read more
