I tried this place at least 4 times over the past year. I wanted to like it but this will be my last time, at least at this location. Out of the four times, the chicken wasn't cooked properly at least twice (including today). The consistency just wasn't what one would expect in a decently fried/cooked chicken. The crew appeared bored and while they were all correct, no one really bothered to notice me leaving despite me saying goodbye politely. All that after I had tipped them. While the place is clean, the service mediocre at best, the food has not only never wowed me - I am disappointed. Today's experience was - yuck. The only BIG thing about this place are the prices. My wife and I decided to try Big Chicken ordering on-line for pickup. The on-line system was easy to use with dropdown menu to modify your order. We ordered a Buffalo Chicken sandwich, BBQ Chicken sandwich, extra crispy fries, and shakes to drink. My Buffalo sandwich had great flavor and was ordered with the slaw on the side, after all, who wants to mess with the taste of Buffalo sauce. If your taste buds enjoy a mild to medium flavor, stay away. As for the slaw, leave it in the kitchen. The BBQ sandwich was good with a bold bbq flavor. My wife tried it with the crispy fried onions but they were mush by time I got home which was only 19 minutes after picking up the order. The fries tasted stale but the shakes were outstanding. Big expectations, big hype. Low quality. The food tasted fairly bland. The seating was very difficult to find. There were many people sitting around, not eating. I mentioned to the wait staff that there was no place to sit and they just shrugged their shoulders. We had to sit at the bar with kids, while groups just sat and talked not leaving, and other tables meant for large groups had only one or two patrons. It would have been better for a seating host to help people find an appropriate seat. When the food arrived I was not really impressed. It was just mid. Not much flavor. The food is actually VERY good! I came in thinking it was going to be ok and Shaq's name was what it was about. But I was totally surprised on how good the chicken quality was. Sigh! I'm sorry to say I don't think this location will last very long due to the severe lack of visible customers every time I walk by. I myself came here during its' first week and enjoyed my chicken sandwich and small fries (VERY small fries), but the food was not unique and unfortunately overpriced (a common complain here), and that's without going into detail of how unhappy the employees seem. Shaq certainly put on a good face when promoting this location, but I don't think his celebrity and positive attitude will able to keep the Shaq-attack going here much longer. read more

I have been to this place twice and have not been disappointed. I love there thin version of steak fries it the perfect combination of fluffy and crispy. This time I ate in and I tried the mustard sauce and the Carolina sweet and smoky I really loved the taste they were great as a dipper for your fries. I have had the big Aristotle and the big and sloppy. Both were great. The employees are all very nice and friendly willingly to offer assistance should you need it. I will definitely go back.
