It's unfortunate to have to give one star because I think the pizza from here is really good but they have poor customer service and they have almost always gotten our pizza orders wrong. We have used eat 24 to order from them a bunch of times and the last few they get the toppings mixed up and backwards and include random items that I'm not even ordering. When we called to try and just let them know their system was jacked up and our orders were wrong they weren't RUDE but completely unhelpful and didn't even apologize. They basically said that it was our fault, that the orders read wrong in their system and that we should contact the app. I never asked for anything free or even a discount- I just called to let them know their orders were CONSISTENTLY being made wrong and they pretty much shrugged it off and didn't care. If you want to get what you actually ORDER or any kind of compassion or customer service, unfortunately I suggest you don't order from Big E. read more

Big E's has the most delicious food .. as long as you take it to go or delivery. Dining there is horrible!! I have been coming here for 3 years with my husband and started to dine in. Servers are horrible with customer service. Our server Gabriel should not be a server. Awkward conversations, has no knowledge of the food recipes, and cannot even try to smile! We did not appreciate how he does not pay attention to his guests. My husband needed a refill, he looked and looked away as we tried to catch his attention and got the broom and started to sweep. Big E's is my favorite pizza in Long Beach. They have a great lunch special for about $7, and the staff is always extremely friendly. I have never tried anything other than the pizza, but everything I've seen has looked great. Definitely give it a try. read more

I have been eating at this place for so many years. It is absolutely the best pizza place I've ever had the pleasure to come across . I m so thankful I used to live right around the corner , and found it so many years ago . It is me and my sisters favorite spot and we make it a point to visit regularly. Just to rate how important and great this place is to us. My sister literally just switched to a vegetarian lifestyle, but she cannot resist having the BIG Es deluxe every now and then . That's EXACTLY how good it is . I hope they never decide to change the recipe , or God forbid close . Really pretty good stuff here. I've lived near this place for a long time and just now went there. Food is good and fresh tasting and really at a reasonable cost. We used to always go to Ecco's pizza and while it's good it's way more expensive comparing to Big E. Big E is great tasting and much cheaper. Can't beat that. read more

I went to elementary, Jr. and Sr. High school with Peter and Gus and used to allow Jimmy to tag along with us guys when he was little. Their mom even introduced me to Greek food. I have a lot of good memories of this family. I don't know why it took me so long to order from Big E pizza. I was very impressed by the food, price and service. So this place was the only place open late and would deliver to my hotel and I figured I would rather get some food for two days instead of paying for overpriced hotel food. I got the Margherita. The bread was really chewy and undercooked and the basil tasted funny, but I ate almost half of it and saved the rest for tomorrow. I have a pretty strong stomach so food doesn't usually get me sick even when it does for others, but I confirmed it was definitely the food the next day at the airport flying back when I ate some more. I saved the last slice and just as an experiment I put in the oven and tried to basically overcook it while also removing the basil. I ate that and I was fine, so I recommend ordering well done. And keep in mind their basil didn't taste like basil. read more

I'm eating at BigE Pizza tonight and I love what they have done to the place. As a critic I'm writing this to the manager / owner of BigE. When you have a big party sit them in the second room that is always closed off as reserved, please train your waiters properly for example I had to grab my own silverware after my food had arrived. When you place a pizza on the table you should offer parmesan and pepper which I had to grab myself. The servers seem lost and stand awkwardly unsure of what to do next. I'm not saying this negatively I only want your service to exceed my expectations like your food and restaurant has already done. There is plenty of seating and the food is always good I think when service meets the quality of food I will return more frequently :) read more

Pizza dough was thick and soggy, cheese was rubbery and greasy, the sauce was way too salty. And that's not the worst part, the delivery took more than an hour to get to me; grant you, I'm literally just 5 min down the street. And to top it off, the lady who answers the phone is very condescending and rude. This place has been around for a while and I really don't know how they're still in business...they must have been good in the past, and the people who who like it are probably eating here for nostalgia reasons only. Awesome pizza, even the crust (and I usually don't like crust). The plain cheese pizza is my favorite -- it's dripping with piles of mozarella.
