I would never think of going to a tire shop for an oil change but when I googled synthetic oil change they popped up with a great special. I had a great experience here for a synthetic oil change recently. They were having a special for $49.95ish which is about half of what I paid at jiffy lube even with coupon. Victor was helpful and got me in fairly quickly. It's not as efficient as a drive through oil change but for the amount I saved and the quality work it was worth it to me. Horrific! Just horrific service! My daughter and i went in to get tires and the guy was so rushed, rude and unprofessional. He looked at both of our cars and would not even be bothered to listen to me. I asked him to look at our account to see what tires we had before and he just blew me off and said no, i already know which ones you need. I told him that i wasn't sure the name of the tires but to please check and he says again, no i know which ones, then gave my daughter and i a print out. It was double what i paid last time so i was like wait, are you sure? Usually it's half this amount. He said he was positive. So i thought maybe i was mistaken. Then he says my daughter and i had to pay a $100 deposit each and i said that was odd since my husband never had to and he said it's only for certain customers. I asked him what he meant by that and he said it's just customers that might not come back. I was like what?? We have 5 cars we bring here- and we need tires, so yes, we are coming back. But he says it doesn't matter, my daughter and i have to pay. So we did. Then when i got home i gave my husband the estimate and he was like what is going on? This is double what we usually pay! So he called and the guy said that i demanded the best tires money could buy. Of course my husband knew i wouldn't say that and certainly my daughter wouldn't since she's a young adult working minimum wage and having to pay for her own tires. So my husband questioned him again and the guy said that he tried to sell me what was recommended but i insisted on the most expensive even though those weren't recommended and that he had to charge me a deposit since i was pushing for abnormal tires. Like WHAT???? so my husband said we do not want the tires and the guy said he'd reimburse the deposit. But of course he never did. This place is a scam, dirty, unethical and dishonest. Got here 7:50am to get my tires fixed. One of the guy said your tire is punctured? I was like that wasn't there last night. He said yeah it's there. I will have to get a new tire. Tried to go in to get some prices on tires and possibly get my tire plugged. They'd rather help customers calling on the phone rather than assist a customer waiting in front. I took my tired to get fix because of a nail on it. Long story short they over grind the tired and damage it completely, the worse thing about, they went ahead a charge the fixing charge ($25), knowing they have damage the tired, to make things worse it took the 2 and half hrs. Been here a couple times. Once for new tires and second time for tire pressure. Decent service BUT I just found out that I could have gotten my tire patched across the street for FREE! I've been going to the Brea for over 15 years, and have been very happy until recently. I had noticed a change in management which appears to have created a change in service. The first issue happened a few years back, but I let it slide as I had been very happy prior ot that. Then I had an other issue about a year ago, but again, let it slide. This time was the last time. I had new tires installed on my truck and the manager, Rudy, said he recommended an alignment. He siad they would check the alignment at no charge, then call me if it needed it. I received a call a couple of hours later that my truck was ready to be picked up. When I arrived the charge was around $200 more than I was quoted. I was then told that they performed an alignment, and that was the cost difference. I explained that Rudy was supposed to have called me if it needed one and had failed to do so. The gentleman assisting me then said he would ask the mechanic about it. He returned to tell me that he would go ahead and remove it from my bill as they were not able to check my truck ofr alignment, nor would they be able to do an alignment due to the length of my truck. First, I have taken this same truck there 3 other times for tires and was always told that they checked my alignment an ll was fine. So now they can't check it? Seemed strange, but OK, maybe something changed. But wahat upset me was when I asked, "how come I was charged for an alignment then, when now you are telling me that you guys can't even offer that service here?" He again said that he would remove the charge from my bill, but no explanation of why the charge was even on there. If it was a mixup with another vehicle, just explain that. I walked out a little upset and the gentleman helping me soon came out to talk to me as I was leaving. He said he was sorry and that someone else had altered the service ticket and he wasn't sure who did it. I told him the past couple of times I had been here I felt like it was a bit shady. Now I really feel like they are just trying to pull some s#%t on people. I will still use Big O for my tire service, just not this particular location. Sorry guys. read more

My warning light came on my dash notifying me of low tires. I checked my tires and there was a screw in the front tire. This was on a Sunday at 3:45. I quickly drove to Big O Tires in Brea not knowing that they closed at 4:00. I got there at 3:55. Mike H., manager of Big O Tires, helped me out. He asked his crew to stay a few minutes after closing to fix my tire. I was so happy and relieved that he did this for me. It is nice to see that customer services still exists. Been going to this shop since 2018 when I first switched out my tires and rims, at that time they were great so I had all my cars serviced there, even though oil changes are a bit pricier then other local shops, I felt taken care of there, that is until last week. Went in for an oil change and spoke to a new manager who I hadn't met before, high turnovers happen all around, no big deal, but I was told I was in emergent need of brakes and new rotors and quoted $1500 but they could give me a break and do it for $1300. Typical auto repair gouging, I know because my family had an Auto repair shop and I would get upset at my Dad for sometimes NOT charging people for his expertise when he would fix a problem with tightening a loose hose or clean a battery cable, he was too honest to keep his shop going. Anyway, went a few buildings over and had COMMUNITY TIRE AND AUTO, take a look and was told my front brakes were at 60%, not the 3% I was told at BIG O and rotors were good enough to be turned and NOT replaced as Big o had stated and wanted to charge me. End result, $500 complete brake job done at COMMUNITY TIRE AND AUTO, my new repair shop for all 4 of my cars from now on. read more

Went in this morning asking to use the bathroom, got the key from one technician, thanked him and used the bathroom. When I returned the key this other service adviser lectured me that the bathroom is for customers only. I told him that I was a customer many times over. He said it is for the current customers only. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere and have an actual paint shop fix YOUR damage out of pocket because I have pride in my vehicle and it's appearance. Your staffs lack of professionalism and pride in workmanship brought the 2 star review down to a 1 Star. America's tire is across the street and community tire is in the same parking lot so for anyone reading this far go ahead and choose either of those before trying Big O. Thanks. ***Edit*** Took the wheel back for a third time. More damage and more time wasted. It's almost like they don't care and have zero training or consequences for doing sub par work. The regional manager I spoke to because of my previous review promised that this would be handled at another wheel refinishing place and his "guy" would come and mount and dismount my tire himself to do it right. That didn't happen or his "guy" also has no clue what he's doing. I'll be heading to a reputable shop and running a charge back on the bill from the initial service. Please go across the street to the other tire store or anywhere else. Drive on a flat before you stop here. Brought in my wife's brand new 2020 explorer ST to get a puncture repaired. Was charged the quoted price which is fine but when I looked at the wheel they had worked on they clearly didn't use any sort of rim protection. I gave them a chance to fix their damaged by being without my vehicle for 4 days since it's AWD and the donut spare sets off all the dash lights. After 4 days I came back and they had hastily repaired their previous damage but have now added to it by improperly mounted the wheel again and damaged another spot in the lip of the wheel by rubbing a metal tool against it. I will now gladly pay out of pocket to have someone who knows what they're doing repair the damage done by Big O-no tires. I guess I should have known better going to a chain store with minimum wage staff and expected any better. What should have been a couple hour trip to fix a nail in a tire has stretched to multiple half day off work trips and now a damaged wheel on a brand new car with 2600 miles. Tha read more
