He quoted me $140 for some repairs that was needed for my car but only charged us $42 because his technician was able to replaced the damaged part faster than expected, thank you! I went in today for a patch job on my rear drivers side tire. There was a nail in the tire. Apparently it hadn't punctured the tire, only the tread. So, I wasn't charged for the service. I had a screw in my tire and stopped in at a Firestone. The guy came out and removed the screw to see if it was deep. Then told me it was losing air but that he was too busy to fix it today. I could not believe he removed the screw and knew he wouldn't be able to repair. I left and started calling around. I called Big O Tires in Brea and Rudy was so nice. I live in Walnut, but I chose to fix my flat tire here because I had a very satisfying experience last time, though definitely not this time. Mac helped me this time, checked my flat tire, and said I needed to replace all four tires because they were worn out. I believed him. He told me he needed to order the tires and asked me to come back the next day. I paid a $100 deposit and returned the next day. When I asked him for a quote, he said four tires would cost $17xx, including alignment and installation. He said he could only give me a $20 discount for the alignment. I felt sketchy about the price but still agreed. While I was waiting, I checked the price on the internet for the same model of tire. The price was much cheaper. I talked to Mac again, and he said he would give me approximately $200 off, making it $15xx. I felt better, so I agreed again. When I was about to pay and saw the invoice, I noticed he had actually removed the tire protection, which accounted for the amount he had reduced. I felt cheated because he never mentioned the tire protection plan when he quoted me $17xx. I don't appreciate his dishonesty, and I will never go back again. read more

I came yesterday around 5:08 pm places closed at 6pm. I just discovered a nail in my tire at work. Before walking in I saw a worker helping a guy put air in his tires and another car pulled up behind me and parked her car to been seen maybe for air as well. When I walked in, I explained that I had purchased my tires at big tires and I had a nail in one of my tires. He pointed outside and said you don't see all those cars you have four cars in front of you we can't help you I said well I have a nail in my tire. Would you be able to check my tire to see if I Need a patch or a new tire. Stated you see those cars again pointed outside. We don't have time for you as I was driving out less than five minutes later there was no more cars. The two cars that I saw needing air. They were gone. One car was lifted up, still being worked on, my car could have been seen, but due to this man's rude and condescending attitude of these four cars. They were gone by the time I drove away at 5:15 pm. And the fact that he refused to come out of his air conditioning building to JUST look at my car, mind you there was no one in the building but me that he hadn't already addressed. The other guy in there he had finished his conversation when I was walking in the doors. It's the lack of professionalism. The place across the street came to look at my tire, informed me about the placement of the nail and stated that I would need a new tire and that he apologized that the man refused to even come out to look at the nail in my tire and offered me air in case my tire was going flat. 9 months ago I purchased 4 new tires from Big O for my son's car and he only put on 9100 miles. As of today I had to purchase 4 new one from Firestone. Big O does not back up their warranty. My dad told me they took advantage of me which now I know they did. Their service and customer service SUCKS!! They charge you a lot of money and they take advantage. Be very careful with the recommendations for service you receive here, especially women. If expensive, get a second opinion to be sure it's really needed. My girlfriend went here to get a free brake inspection. During the inspection they found that one front tire was worn on the inside edge and needed to be replaced. Ok, that's fine. Buy two new tires for front and ask about alignment. She was told they can't do it because she needs the inner and outer ball joints replaced, which they quoted over $1000 for. They also wanted $600 for front brakes. Declined the service. Took it to another shop and they found no issue with ball joints and aligned the car for $125. I did the brakes for her for $160 in parts. Ball joint replacement seems like a very common "scam". Most people have no idea what they are or how often they need to be replaced, but it's an expensive repair. Don't fall for it. Get a second option!! Oh, and they did try to changer $10 for nitrogen in the tires as others mentioned, which we declined. read more

For this reason I am writing my first Yelp review. My tire pressure light went on and after calling, they informed me that they could squeeze me in first thing at 07:00 the next morning. I arrived at 06:45 and by 06:50, their team went to work. After 30 minutes, they fixed my tire. As a first responder my time is extremely precious and their ability to solve my problem was sincerely appreciated. I definitely would not recommend coming here for anything unless you want to pay the high prices. Got 4 break pads and 2 rotors with an oil change for $1307 out the door. Left a horrible taste in my mouth paying that much. Here's the receipt for reference. I would give it 1 star however the employees were pleasant to talk to and professional. I had 5 truck tires that I needed to get dismounted. I walked in and was addressed immediately by Rudy. He told me to unload the tires and he'd get the team on it. This Big O Tires branch is one of the best that I have dealt with. They were very responsive and accommodated me on short notice for my wheel alignment about a week ago. They got me in and out of there quickly. The staff were polite and courteous. They were pretty knowledgeable and gave me different options and advice for my alignment and tires requirements. I went back today to have my wheel spacers installed and I got the same level of service and got my car back before the promised time. The coupon said $ 54.99 for oil and filter change may be tax but they managed to charge $ 12 to dispose old dirty oil that will come out of the car. Labor is $ 32 so tax should he $ 3 max but my total is $ 69 and change. A whole 25% more than the coupon. Why play games just say it's $ 69.99. I have a 2023 Acura Integra and didn't even know it had a tire pressure warning guage. A rear tire was suddenly showing only 4 lbs. of pressure. But these newer cars don't even come with a spare tire! To get home, we put air in the tire at a gas station. Now what? Were the rims bent?
