Absolutely unacceptable service. This was by far the worst experience I've had at a Big O Tires. I called this location at 7:00 AM when they opened and spoke directly with the manager, Aureliano Garcia. I asked if they could install my backup tires and perform an alignment on my truck. He told me they could and asked me to bring it in. I arrived around 7:25 AM and was one of the first customers there. My truck was brought into the bay right away. Before leaving it with them, I specifically asked Aureliano how long the job would take. He told me approximately two hours, mentioning that my tires were larger and might take a little extra time. Two hours passed. Not finished. Two and a half hours passed. Still not finished. Three hours passed, and my truck was sitting in essentially the same condition. The wheels I could see on the ground hadn't even moved from where they had been sitting. At one point, I saw a technician who had been working on my truck outside on a cigarette break. Meanwhile, customers who arrived after me were getting their vehicles finished and leaving before me. I repeatedly had to approach the manager myself to find out what was happening. Not once during this entire ordeal did the manager proactively come over and give me an update. Every time I asked, I was simply told they were "behind schedule." Eventually I saw my truck come off the lift and thought, finally, it's finished. I asked Aureliano if it was ready and was then told, "No, we still have to do the alignment." At that point it had been approximately FOUR HOURS for a job I was originally told would take about two. I own and manage a business myself. Delays happen--I completely understand that. What I don't understand is leaving a customer sitting there for hours without communicating with them. If you're running two hours behind, tell your customer. Give them the option to leave, get a ride, reschedule, or make other arrangements instead of wasting their entire morning. I ultimately paid $389 for the service. Despite the excessive delay and lack of communication, I wasn't offered any type of courtesy or adjustment for the inconvenience. But somehow it got even worse. After finally leaving and driving 20 minutes home, I discovered that they had not returned my wheel-lock key after using it on my truck. I immediately called Aureliano, and apparently the technician had forgotten to put it back. So after already losing essentially my entire morning, I now had to make another 40-minute round trip because of their mistake just to retrieve something that belongs in my truck and that I need in order to remove my wheels. Between the original wait and having to drive back, roughly five hours of my day were wasted. I gave them every opportunity to handle the situation professionally. I was patient when two hours became three. I was patient when three became four. But poor communication followed by forgetting my wheel-lock key was the last straw. I will be escalating my experience to Big O Tires corporate. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. The lack of communication, excessive wait, and failure to return an important piece of my vehicle equipment were completely unacceptable. Worst Big O Tires experience I've ever had. Not recommended at all !!!! On Saturday I came in to replace the two front tires on my vehicle I was told that the price for replacing both tires including a wheel alignment would be $365 and I agreed to this price After about two hours I received a call informing me that there was an issue with the tire pressure sensors and that three out of the four sensors needed to be replaced otherwise the tire pressure warning light would remain on I was told that each sensor costs $100 and I agreed to proceed As a result the total price increased from $365 to $685 After the tires and sensors were replaced the warning light remained on something that had never happened to me before When I asked why I was told that I needed to drive approximately 30 miles and that the system would reset itself However even after driving 30 miles the warning light did not turn off Two days later I returned to the shop. At that point I was told they were unsure of the issue and that a specific specialist would need to be brought in to diagnose it We scheduled an appointment for the following day at 2:00 PM I brought the car in and the issue was fixed within about 30 minutes It was later discovered that the real problem was a nail in one of the rear tires which is what caused the warning light to turn on in the first place This means I ended up paying an additional $320 for sensor replacements that were completely unnecessary The staff is friendly and polite however unfortunately the level of professionalism is not satisfactory The issue could have been properly diagnosed from the beginning saving me both time and unnecessary expenses In conclusion I do not recommend this place There are many other auto service shops in the area that offer a much more professional level of service read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am writing this review to warn others about the highly unethical and deceptive business practices at this shop. I personally visited this shop yesterday to get new tires for our leased BMW iX. They told me the tires weren't ready yet, but the staff verbally promised me that an alignment would be included for FREE with the tire replacement. Today, my wife went in to have the tires installed because the shop told us we could come in "anytime." Knowing I wasn't there, they took complete advantage of the situation. Here are the major red flags about how this business operates: Horrendous Customer Service & Disrespect for Time: Even though they told us to come in anytime today, my wife was left sitting in the waiting room for over an hour and a half. To add insult to injury, she had to watch multiple customers who arrived long after her get their cars serviced and leave before she did. No Written Estimate (CA BAR Violation): When it was finally time to pay, they completely changed their story from yesterday and hit her with a sudden $190 charge for the alignment. They never provided a written estimate for this, nor did we authorize any paid alignment service prior to the work being done. In California, charging for unauthorized work without a written estimate is a direct violation of the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations. Predatory Scare Tactics: When my wife questioned the unexpected charge, the staff coerced her into paying by using a ridiculous scare tactic. They blatantly lied, claiming that if she didn't pay for the alignment now, the leasing company would charge her a $200-$300 penalty when returning the car. (Fact check: Lease inspectors check tire tread depth, not alignment machine specs. Since we just put brand new tires on, this was a 100% fabricated lie just to intimidate her into paying.) The Principle of the Matter: To be fair, $190 for a 4-wheel alignment on a heavy EV like a BMW iX is actually a standard market rate. The issue is not the price; it is the sheer dishonesty. Making a verbal promise of a "free" service to me yesterday, treating my wife poorly with absurd wait times today, performing unauthorized work, and then lying to her face to force a payment is extremely shady and predatory. We are currently disputing this unauthorized charge with our credit card company and filing a formal complaint with the CA BAR regarding their illegal billing practices. If you decide to come here, get absolutely every single word and price in writing before handing over your keys. I've been taking my cars to Big O Tires over the past ten years now - and their service has always been excellent. I used to work closer to the Lake Forest location, and the service there was great. Now I work around Irvine, so I started taking my cars for service at the Irvine Center location, and the quality of service has always been great. I'm not too aware of how much things cost - could I spend hours trying to find the cheapest possible cost out there? Sure, but I feel the cost has always been reasonable here, plus I trust they do their service very well here and I know I am well taken care of. Made an 11:00 AM appointment at Big O Tires, to replace all 4 tires, selected the tires, and clicked the radio button for "waiting on site". I arrived on time and was told the job would take about 90 minutes. After waiting the full 90 minutes, I was then informed they actually didn't have 2 of the 4 tires needed (both front tires) and had to call another store to deliver them, they had my car on the vehicle lift with all 4 tires removed. In the end, what should have been a 90-minute appointment turned into a 3-hour wait. Inventory should have been verified BEFORE my appointment time, especially for a scheduled tire installation. The staff did give me a $50 discount, but losing an extra 1.5 hours of my day was frustrating and worth far more than that. Better communication and preparation would have made a huge difference. Very unprofessional. Quoted 431 car struts on phone. Came from corona today. He had stated last wk to arrive the early the better. At 830am he was not there. He had the parts. He arrived at 930am. I left for awhile and got a call. The parts he ordered were the wrong parts! He was going to get them but it would be about 100.00 more. He would apply coupons. Picked up car 3.5 hours later. I requested i pay the 431 price I was quoted, and it was declined. I also had squeaking on the front brakes. Was told prior by another shop I had hot spots needed new rotors on the from and pads. He checked and on the phone said the quote was approx 1,000 for front and back. I never asked for back. The issue was only the front. I had 50% left on pads. There was no shaking, jerking or issues when stopping. Only squuel from the front. Bad experience! Quoted one price, they ordered the wrong parts but charged me for the mistake.
