Brought my car in for an oil change. It was pricier than where I used to get my oil changes, but it had to be done. Oil change is fine, they provided the service! But when I got back into the car, I noticed all of these motor oil stains on the driver's side of the car. Definitely was NOT me because I've never changed the oil before (I should learn how). But yea. They'll get the job done, but now I have to carve out time to try to remove MOTOR OIL stains from FABRIC. I'm not coming back here again. read more

I went there with my daughter who had a flat tire that could not be repaired. The gentleman who helped us was I think the manager I'm guessing 5"8 thin. Had no name badge on. I am outside with the car and my daughter goes inside. She is grown and talk to the guy about a price for a new tire. The guy talking to my daughter told her a price over $300 for two tires. my daughter ask him is there anything cheaper he says no. After getting everything done I go inside to see what's going on. I find out the price of the tires and I ask him do you have anything cheaper he says yes and we get both tires for well under $300. I've seen this before in a lot of mechanic shops it's not cool to take it vantage of women or to disrespect them. We will not be going back. I wish I could give them a lower rating. AVOID this place.. I purchased two tires from this place and later on realized the tires I purchased are cheaper on the website. I called twice and once even went in person to ask why I got charged more.. The response was; I need to talk to the manager because they don't know. I was promised to get called back twice but never got called back. Also, I didn't ask for the tire protection plan but it was also on the bill. On top; just after replacing the tires; the tire pressure sensor come up on the dashboard and when I told the staff; he kept asking when I changed the sensor last time; if they are original etc... I tried to explain it just happened after tire change but obviously it is not enough evidence for them to prove the tire change messed up/misplaced a sensor. If you still happen to go to this place; please triple check the invoice and make sure what you are purchasing is price matching with what they have on their website. read more

This place opened at 8 am. I arrived at 830 in hopes of beating any lines. When I arrived, their were no lines, no body waiting in the lobby, no cars on the racks, 2 employees at the front desk and 3 other workers standing around on the stands. I came in for a simple tire repair and was immediately told by Steve Nabar that it would be a couple hours to be checked out... how do you tell that to a walk in customer when you guys aren't busy at all. I had no other choice but to stay since I had purchased my tires from big o tires and only had my brand new tires for less than a month! And never have I ever had brand new tires ever get a flat on me this quickly. Appalled. As time went by, other customers started to come in. A gentleman had questions about his car on being run flats and the entire time, Steve was undermining him the entire time by making him purchase new tires when he clearly did not want to. And what COVID protocols?!? This place is complete crap. The entire time Steve and his workers did not even have his make on. I had to hand Steve my phone so he can look up some info, and the entire time he kept coughing in it disgusting. The Irvine location is awful. I made an appointment to get a simple patch on my lunch break. They email me and confirm my appointment and everything is good. I arrive at the specified time and am told 30 minutes and $20. I'm not happy already, but I need my tire fixed so I agree. I go sit in the waiting room where there are already two people. One of which is watching R rated Netflix shows on the courtesy television. Nothing like spending lunch hour listening to swearing and watching people have sex on TV. I'm not a prude or anything and Narcos on Netflix is a great show. But it's not business waiting room appropriate. As of this moment I've been here for two hours. I've seen multiple people arrive get service and leave since I've been here (two attractive girls and a soldier I might add). Everyone in the waiting room has been here since before I arrived. One of the guys literally walked over to flame broiler and got food. I'm go to get my keys and am told "oh you're next we're doing it now!" And he runs and pulls my vehicle around front. Where it sat for 30 more minutes before they finally got to it. All in all a solid three hours from arrival to leave. For a $20, 15~20 minute patch job that I had an appointment for. As of me leaving there were three people still there who were all there before me. Never again. read more

Came in for a free alignment check as I thought something was wrong with my trucks axle. Andrew promptly got my car on the alignment rack and hooked up the sensors. He was very cordial and showed me the readings on the rack, and offered a suggestion on things they could do to perfect the alignment if wanted. Even though I declined services from them and walked away with a free alignment check, I am thankful for Andrew's generosity for getting my big truck checked out and being professional the whole time. Took my boss' vehicle in for a simple tire patch because there was a small nail in the brand new rear driver's side tire (that are less than two weeks new). The person who checked me in was Steve Nabor. When I asked what the cost was and whether I needed to pay first, I was told by Steve, no, that they had to check it first to make sure it wasn't something else & then he had me walk over to a display tire to show me some lines on it. He said if it's past this line it's fixable, if it's before this line then the whole tire needs to be replaced. Umkay. Being that they're brand new tires, I was pretty sure it was a simple nail patch or possibly a problem with the tire stem. He had me sign the work order as is customary practice at any business and I didn't see a price on it. They took a few minutes short of an hour for them to fix the tire. When I went to check out, Steve was busy with another customer so an employee named William Pineda checked me out. I asked him what the problem was, and he said it was in fact, a simple nail that needed to be removed and patched. I handed him my boss' credit card to pay. He charged the card then folded up the invoice, before handing it to me, I said thank you and I left. It wasn't until I got back to my office that I opened the invoice up and saw that I had been charged $59.99---may as well say $60.00 for a simple tire patch. This is beyond unacceptable. They obviously take advantage of people and price gouge. Never have I paid more than $20 to have a tire patched. They obviously use shady sales tactics, and over charge people they think they can take advantage of, without the customer realizing it until after the fact. I do not recommend this place. I suggest you go to the other side of the parking lot, to Discount Tire Center, where they probably provide better pricing and better service, than these Big O guys. I will also be following up with a complaint to the Big O National Consumer Relations Department as well as to the Department of Consumer Affairs, because who knows? I'm probably just one of many people they have taken advantage of like many other women and senior citizens and it needs to be reported because I'm tired of people who take advantage and screw people over like this, especially during the holidays with the economy these days. Terrible experience with extremely incompetent people. They put the wrong size tires on my Tesla, gave me such a hassle about returning them after my car COMPLETELY shut down and was un-drivable, potentially causing damage to a 100k vehicle. The manager Garcia first tried to blame me and have me pay for ANOTHER tire after spending 1k+ already, before changing up after I was completely disgusted with them. They then did not refund me and kept the tires, telling me they would call me "in a few days" to give me the refund or give me the tires back to sell on my own. Shocker, they never called, kept me money and the tires. Well for shady practices you get a one star on every site I can leave it on, and some more surprises. Thanks big o! read more

Came in to get 4 tires and got a quote from Garcia. Before I picked up the car I got a quote online which was $60 cheaper. I bring it up to the other worker and they played it off like they couldn't help me. Only the other person from the exact same role could do it? So I call the next day to talk to Garcia and he says he'll call me back. Surprise, I never get a call back. I call again a week later, I can't get Garcia and of course the other worker can't help me. Andrew took care of me like family. Genuinely, this was the most positive experience with a tire shop I've ever had. I brought my Audi in to have new powder coated wheels put on. They installed them by hand, and they ensured they didn't scratch or overtorque the wheels. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. They noted my rear brake pads were worn, and they gave me such a competitive quote for replacement. Normally, I do all my own work, but I will absolutely be bringing my car back to them. Beware of this place and get a second opinion. Usually, I would not use big O tires, but I had to go to them because I'm working around this area for the next couple of months. I went in for an oil change, and I was quoted a price on the phone. I told the front desk worker what I was quoted on the phone, and he looked astonished and asked if I had a coupon or not. I told him no, that's what I was told on the phone, so they did honor the price. However, what threw me off was that they told me that I needed to get my brakes and control arms replaced for $1,200. I was like, oh really; I just had a major service two months ago; I'll call my mechanic. My mechanic assured me nothing was wrong with my brakes and control arms. Be wary of this place and the service they are trying to advise for you. read more
