I read reviews that customer service was bad. In my opinion just like anyone can have a bad day so can the person writing. And I can't disagree anymore that this bike shop has bad service. I had a custom job done and he went beyond my expectation to make me a customer. I've been to all the so called places to go for bike service in Orange County and everyone made me feel they were too busy to help me. I went in skeptical and left saying this is now my go to guy for all my bike work. And I'm not one to write a review but I believe in fair exchange ain't no robbery. So it's only fair that my perspective is told. Cheaper prices. Top notch work. And honest. I knew some things I didn't tell him and he passed every test with flying colors. This bike shop is a joke. My son was hit by a car on his bike. The bike was stuck to and under the car. They semi straightened the front wheel. It stops when you spin it freely. The seat is bent. Tha handle bars are bent . This is a Gary Fisher mountain bike. The owner said the bars are bent because my son was shaking the bike ! Don't take your bike there if you care about it !! After finding out we had a destroyed stroller tire, while at Disneyland, we were on the hunt for a close bike store that could get us back up and running, quickly. Big Wheel Bikes delivered! I called ahead to make sure they had the tire I needed and I was assured they did. When I walked into the store, a man grabbed what I needed before even speaking to me. this place blows sorry for the language but the one time i went in for a part he was completely rude and even interrupted me in the middle of what i was trying to explain. I was trying to convert my cannondale frame with vertical dropouts to a single gear bike and when i called in to tell him he said it was impossible when i tried to explain about the chain tensioner he said your not listening its not possible. Well i had done my research and had even seen them done before so i knew it was possible. this store really sucks in customer service hope their prices are good to make up for it. read more

These guys are great! After being shunned by a LBS, I wandered into Big Wheel Bicycle where I was treated with dignity & respect. They were very helpful and never made me feel bad for answering my (stupid) questions. Unlike the crew at Orange Cycle, these guys are the real deal. read more

hi i have been here 2 times 1st just looking and asking if he can reach under my elct scooter to turn the scrw i cant i am a handicap and i am 1/2 par..perlized and he turn me down .. do we only i told hime i will pay he told no so i was looking at some bikes a ask him some more stuff but he ack like a but head a very lazy. so i left this has 5 months ago so i cam back to look at a trike bike he had ind window and he still there must be the owner .i was in to buy and i told him .he is very rude person he should stay in the back .away from customers...he must be losing customers evry day just buy opening or not opening hie mouth it dose not matter i see a very cold empty shell of a man..he needs to close up he lost a sale on a $400 trike sale im going to orange ..to buy it from them good luck losing customers ..the owner should read all these in yelp so dont go here read more

I've been cycling for around 40 years and I have been to a lot of bike shops. Big Wheel in Anaheim is a favorite shop of mine because they have a certain level of customer service that is very rare. For example, on more than one occasion, Peter offered to stay past closing time in order to meet my hectic schedule so I could pick up my bike that was in for repair. He has also turned every repair job that I brought there around the same day, with prices always lower than I anticipated. I've had many wheel sets built by this shop. The wheels stay in true and have no issues. I've been coming here for years and the customer service and quality of work is always consistent. He maintains a stock of difficult to find components, many of which he has installed on my older bikes. I am completely satisfied with this shop and I am bewildered by the negative comments. I have never had a negative experience with this shop. It is out of character for Peter or the master mechanic to act in an unethical or unprofessional manner. They know their trade and deserve respect. I highly recommend this shop for any cycling need. read more
