Came to this location for a rare weekday brunch with friends. admittedly, we originally plan to go to The Table across the street, but they were only open for dinner on Tuesdays. Our server was quite attentive to us and after we finally chose our orders, the food came out to promptly. I ordered the beef tri tip eggs Benedict from their special menu (on a hanging chalkboard in the pario kindly pointed out by our server). It was definitely a hard choice between this and the Nutella French toast that was also on there special menu. I went to one of the Palo Alto Bill's Cafe locations before, and I feel this one on Willow is a total winner, or maybe the dish I chose today was just better. Also ordered a nice mimosa, and even got some tequila shots on the house (I think our server heard us talking about how we got into some higher education programs we applied for and that we were celebrating today). It was definitely a super sweet gesture, and they were kind enough to not kick us out even when the late lunch crowd started trickling in and we were still talking at our table. I came to Bill's after a while and was surprised by the variety the specials had to offer. I came with my wife and my kid, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, my wife ordered the apricot french toast while my son ordered the potato benedict. It was a fairly busy day and was expecting to wait a long time to get my food, to my surprise the cooks were pretty quick and efficient, my food came relatively quickly. As soon I took a bite off my sandwich I could tell this was the real deal, I tried my wife's and son's dish and was also pleased by the flavor of them. When we all finished we were satisfied and quite frankly the food lifted our spirits. I can now say with certainty that Bill's is my new favorite restaurant and if you're in the area I highly recommend you stop by and try these dishes, you won't regret it. read more

The manager here is genuinely nice. Grabbing my order, she offers a coffee to go. She seemed genuinely nice and happy that we were there. Food is great and I really appreciated that they added extra sauce and took the time to prepare the items exactly as requested. Looks like a full house there, with social distancing in effect , and I appreciate that they offer hand sanitizer at the front. Overall a solid breakfast and brunch joint. read more

Came here to celebrate my moms birthday. I don't usually get to spend a lot of time with her so it was really nice to have good friendly service from Nacho and really good food too. She got the special skillet of the day and it had all sorts of veggies. Of course we had to get mimosas too. It was my parents first time and they absolutely loved every bite! The food: We got the Jalisco scramble, California Benedict, and California omelette each with either country potatoes or hash browns and everything came out absolutely perfect! Can't forget to top it with some of their pepper plant hot sauce as well. We live in Willow Glen and had breakfast and lunch there and never been disappointed. An available table is open not long after we arrive. I think this restaurant needs an update. Carpet appears worn and dirty. The overall look of the place could use a make over. Do away with the banging of the drum when it's someone's birthday. Next time we're in this restaurant and the drum beats, we will walk out of the restaurant. read more

This place is a popular brunch spot in the Willow Glen area. They have multiple locations. I've been to this one a couple of times. It's super bustling on the weekends. Service is good, for how busy they get! They try to be attentive to all the tables and get your food out quickly. The crab cake benedict is popular here. The hollandaise sauce is good. The hash is okay. A little too chunky for my liking. The strawberry and frosted flake pancake was surprisingly very good! I didn't think I was much of a flavored pancake person, but this changed my mind. Country fried steak was on the dry side the time that I had it. Nothing too spectacular. The food here is okay, but it wouldn't be my favorite brunch spot in the area. read more

I'm so glad Bill's is thriving during SIP. This is a favorite brunch spot for me. We used to go when things were open and sit on their lovely patio. They recently did some upgrades and have made the outdoor space even nicer. I've come and gotten take twice since SIP started. I was pleasantly surprised at how well their food travels in to go containers. It was as tasty as ever. There staff is always friendly and this has continued during this time of take out. They're great on the phone and always kind and cheerful at pickup. You can't go wrong with their menu. I love their skillets and pancakes as well as their unique takes on French toast. I'm looking forward to the days when we can get back to patio dining. Until then, I'll be supporting with take out orders. read more

The food here is AMAZING. Everyone in my party enjoyed the food. We got the crab cake benedict, the mexicali benedict, meat lovers omelette, and the chicken fried steak. Everything was exceptional, except for the chicken fried steak. But in all fairness, my family and I are from Texas and california country gravy can't really compare. I did have to knock down a star for the very poor service. The waiter was exceptionally rude. He would ask questions, but not in complete sentences. He also had to repeat some of his questions and got annoyed at that. But he was basically whispering and in at a table outside next to a busy street with lots of cars. He had this attitude that he was in a rush to move on with his work. When we asked him for napkins, he handed it to us without making eye contact, but rather looking at another waiter and talking rather than giving us the attention needed. Overall, don't come here if you're looking for a 5 star service. But I'd deal with the lack of customer service for the delicious food. read more

They normally don't do catering, but they helped us out in a pinch for my clinic of 15 people for a breakfast birthday. Everything turned out wonderful and on time. We visited this place the day after Christmas. It was packed and the staff were running around being busy. The food was great and high quality. I ordered smoked salmon and eggs Benedict. The main issue I had with the food was that the dish did not have something to balance the fatty nature of salmon and eggs. The smoked salmon smelled like too much smoke and was not my favorite. Other than that the fish was tasty and good quality. The waitress was busy and we are understanding but she acted as if we are asking too much. We asked for the milk to be warmed and she said they don't have the equipment to warm the milk! I find that hard to believe. She could have said they are busy and can not warm it for us and excuse herself but she flat out said they don't have the equipment to warm it up. read more

My friend & I arrived at this Willow Glen location at 8am on Tuesday morning and we got seated right away. Place was pretty dead! Once we received our food our waiter didn't come back to check or refill coffees then we noticed he was standing with his back to us at the counter. My friend had asked for no syrup & whipped cream on the side. There was no whipped cream but a side of syrup! Finally I was able to get his attention and asked him for the whipped cream that we had requested with our order. It took him a few minutes to bring it over by then pancakes were cold. He also dropped the bill off at same time even though we were still eating without asking if needed anything else. We had to flag another waiter for a coffee refill. Finally, we were ready to pay with a credit card that we placed on top of the bill. It sat there for 10-15 minutes & no one came by to process it so we ended up paying by cash. When we were leaving our waiter & another waiter were just standing & people watching in front of entry way! We had to ask them to move so we could leave. This review is because bills cafe has apparently taken their veggie burger off the menu I don't eat cheese or milk either, so they have one meal I can eat : oatmeal I would never go to a restaurant and order... oatmeal. I go out a lot with a couple friends, and because there's no options for me here we won't be back until you guys add some PLANT-BASED food to the menu. I got, at the recommendation of my friend, the BLT but with avocado instead of bacon. Honestly should have just gotten fries and tequila because it needs something salty to make it taste good. Please consider bringing plant based bacon on the menu so you can attract more customers. Also plant based meat is way more sustainable for the planet * I would be down to edit this review if ur menu changed a bit. Add a vegan burger! I would love to see vegan pancakes on the menu You can buy sliced plant cheese at Safeway now! It's not hard to get! Overall a good breakfast place. The place is always jam packed. I have been here twice and have not seen even a single table empty. Last I visited a was a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the vegetable skillet and took eggs(scrambled) on the side. It comes with a toast. The food is nice but I would want to use the word delicious to rate it 5 stars, hence 4 stars. The staff is fine. One of the staff members on the counter was drinking a beer(while on duty), that was the first time I ever noticed that an active staff member is trying to get drunk during work hours. read more
