It was due time for a stop in at Bill's for lunch with Stine H. Mimosas, Eggs Benedict and Lemon Orzo soup? Oh yesss pleaase! We decided to split the Crab Cakes Benedict as well as a bowl of their Corn Chowder Soup. I felt like it was necessary to order a Mimosa, so I did. We got a Crab Cake Benedict each with a half portion of hashbrowns and split the bowl of Lemon Orzo soup even though we ordered corn chowder. Their Crab Cakes are just so delicious and till this day Bill's has the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. The mimosa, had a nice wedge of orange and pieces of strawberries. How can you not love having a big sundae sized cup for a delicious mimosa for lunch? We had our table checked up on and waters refilled. The bill came out to be around $22, which wasn't bad. It was Sunday and my stomach was talking to me in parables so I quickly scanned yelp for the best rated restaurant in the area for breakfast. It appeared that Bill's was overwhelmingly the choice. As I pulled up and saw the massive crowd awaiting seating I was second guessing my decision but my growling stomach over ruled my brain and I checked in. It seems that most wanted seating outside so I was quickly seated inside. A loud banging sound quickly jarred my attention and it appears that any special event drags the staff to the table and a proud Hispanic man wielding a very loud one tone drum bangs away happily. Following the disruption I start scanning the neighboring tables and am captivated and tortured by my hunger as every plate I see looks amazing and heaped with massive portions. As I review the menu I struggle to find only one choice. After much debate I widdle my choices down to a spinach chicken omlet or a decadent Oreo pancake meal. The waitress asks what I want and I choose to behave and choose the egg omlet,after which she asks me whether I want rye, wheat or sourdough toast. I hesitate as I am unsure and she adds....or any pancake you want. I was like uhhhh any pancake? Like the Oreo? She said ahuh and I felt like today was the day to play the lottery and this was Burger King and I was getting it "my way". I mentioned my earlier dilemma and that she just made it easy for me. Fast forward 30 minutes and I labored to devour each scrumptious bite. There was so much food and every bite was delicious. I must confess I have never seen or tried an Oreo pancake but it was amazing. The fresh squeezed OJ was perfect and the country potatoes cooked and seasoned to perfection. Great brunch place. They have a huge selection on their menu and the prices aren't bad at all as the portions are HUGE! There's bound to be something for everyone (food and drinks). Below was our order our last visit... -Bloody Mary: It was delicious! It was better than I remembered. It's usually on the spicier-side, just to warn you. The last time I had it, it had me sweating. BUT mild spicy foods (and apparently drinks) has an interestingly odd way of getting my sweat glands going. I know, pretty disgusting when we're at a Thai or Mexican restaurants. Crab cake eggs benedict: I'm not a huge fan of eggs benedict cause it always end up being too heavy for me. After reading all the reviews on the crab cake eggs benedict, I knew I wanted to try it. You can actually request for more hollandaise sauce if you wanted to. One of the eggs benedict was definitely enough for me. It was pretty good but I feel like I tasted too much of the breading. Hash browns were cooked perfectly and the top layer was nice and crispy. 2. Chorizo omelette: I love omelettes and tend to usually lean towards the veggie omelettes that come with avocado - love my mushrooms, peppers and onions! However, my friend wanted to get the Chorizo omelette and I'm glad he got it cause it ended up being super tasty and pretty big. There was cheese inside so it was perfectly melted and you can get that cheese pull. I went on a Saturday morning, and although it was pretty busy, we got seated quickly. Came here on a Sunday near peak time 10:40AM to place our name down for a party of 6. Was told the wait would be 40 mins, it was close to 55 mins. Saw plenty of folks waiting with bloody mary's and mimosas in hand. I guess, why not? Once seated I ordered the crab cake benedicts, my bf got the el paso benedict. Both were pretty good. I tried the country fried potatoes and it was tasty enough. I love corned beef hash so that on eggs benedict was awesome. About $10.75 for each of those plates. Others at the table got the veggie scrambler and some other breakfast fare. Thing is, nothing blew our minds. It was all tasty enough but not sure it calls for a 40min to 1 hour wait. The famous mimosa was tasty. $6.50. It wasn't particularly strong. I have bad Asian glow and this didn't hit me at all. Had a good enough brunch time, service could have been better. I went with my friends yesterday to try Bill's Cafe for the first time - one of my friends frequents at Bill's Cafe, so she warned us that the wait might be long since we're going on a Sunday at the peak hours. The wait wasn't all that bad, and it was understandable that the service can be slow when the restaurant is completely full. I think they should have a system for people with common names though, like using last names, since I thought my group was called, but it was a different Mary (with the same number of people in their party). I ordered the smoked salmon benedict, and the portion was HUGE. I barely was able to finish the benedicts, and only tried a bite of the hash browns. Both were delicious, and I'm excited to try Bill's cafe again. For those with smaller appetites, I definitely recommend ordering the half portion options. The atmosphere is very home-y, but it's loud so I recommend sitting outside if you're trying to have a conversation. As someone who really enjoys brunch - I don't think you can go wrong by making a trip here if you want some filling + hearty food. Whenever I go to Bill's (any branch at that), my go to order is always the crab cake benedicts! The crab cakes themselves are crispy on the outside and there is delicious yummy filling on the inside. My friend looked up breakfast places in the San Jose area as we took the 101 from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Bill's conveniently came up on his Yelp search. I'd say Bill's cafe looks like your pretty standard small town breakfast joint. When we arrived, the parking lot was crowded and so was the seating in the outdoor patio. Definitely a popular weekend brunch destination. I ordered the ham steak & eggs. It was a good sized slice of ham. Pretty ordinary. I loves me some ham so I couldnt be too disappointed. The scrambled eggs were decent. The hash browns it came with were good. White toast was ok. Im glad they had strawberry jam available upon request for it... My friends & I also shared a belgian waffle. It was good... especially with the provided syrup & whipped butter. Service was good. Polite but not overbearing. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Used the call ahead feature in Yelp and other than the wait time extension created by a party of 20(!) ahead of us and the busy Mother's Day crowd, it all went quite well. Updating my review from awhile back. PHENOMENAL customer service as we ordered online via Doordash. We ordered a drink and an extra cup of ice that the driver apparently never received. We called Bill's explaining what happened and w/o hesitation, they made sure another driver came and delivered our drinks/ice to us. I don't think we've ever had any restaurant be so incredibly proactive. They even included an extra drink as well. Try their signature dish: the Bread Pudding French Toast--when I first had it, all I could think to myself was, "wow". Well, I thought of more than that, but it definitely is something that should be eaten. It's very rich and heavy, so only order it if you're craving a lot of food at the time. Monday... 8 AM UGH I have to say.. the Caprese Benedict with the sauce on the side is one of the BEST things I have eaten in a while. I had a graduation party and ended up staying up all night. I found Bills because it was the only place open early in the morning. I went and the manager Sandra discriminated my friends and I because we were wearing skirts so she assumed we were all drunk and coming from a club. She made us feel like we did not belong inside the restaurant because she looked at us up and down and told all of the servers to only serve us one alcoholic drink. I really wanted to get bottomless mimosas but she said no, however, honestly I really believe she discriminated us not only because of how we were dressed, but also because we know a couple of servers here and we said hi personally to them, so she got visibly upset. The service here was absolutely terrible, and I literally almost cried because the manager was calling us drunk but we actually had just pulled an all nighter so we obviously looked crazy. All I am saying is she should not judged us because of how we look. The treatment I got today has me so upset because it really is very disrespectful and was very much discrimination. I had the courage to wear a cute outfit I liked and she absolutely killed my confidence. What upset me most was when she said "bills is a family establishment" and she looked at us up and down. I love a good brunch and this place didn't disappoint me. We got here around 11 am on Saturday. The place was packed and we had to wait for 20 minutes to get a seat. They had a coffee and water dispenser for the people who were waiting/standing outside the restaurant (never saw this at any other place). Bill's Scramble - Minced meat scrambled with fluffy egg !! Perfect. It was a flavor bomb, everything was mixed very well together and the eggs were so fluffy. It also came with a side of hash brown and whole wheat bread. Mimosa - Brunch is not complete without ordering mimosa. It was really refreshing for a Saturday morning. Banana waffles - Had to try them too !! Crispy and warm waffles topped with freshly chopped bananas and topped with whipped cream. Everything here tasted so well and the service here was great too!
