    Greek lemon soup, yum

Unless you've tried it, it might sound a little funny to say must try the lemon soup. It is their thing and it is wonderful, unless you're not a lemon person. I've brought many people here and everyone, with exception of one person, has loved the soup. Like that they have indoor and outdoor seating. Since it was a gorgeous day, we took advantage of the outdoor seating. Service has always been friendly, and my salad was fresh and tasty.

Bill the World Bill's is probably the most renowned name in the South Bay breakfast game, as they've been slinging hash and eggs for nearly fifty years (circa 1977) and have expanded to ten locations throughout the Bay, with most of them being here in San Jose. This location is only a few miles from our place, and surprisingly this was our first time visiting, despite having lived in this part of town for almost five years. The Good: * Private parking lot as well as street parking available * Dog-friendly outdoor dining * They have some kind of Waitlist QR code you can scan when you walk in, but we didn't need it so I can't comment on it beyond its existence. * The food at Bill's is always solid, but nothing life-changing. I've always been a fan of their "Benedictions" and, if you're into a sweet breakfast, their Bread Pudding French Toast is pretty legendary. * For those looking for healthier options, you can get a side of fruit instead of taters, and they don't just give you grapes and melons, but you'll get some tasty strawberries and pineapple mixed in. Also, their egg white Veggie Skillet was surprisingly delicious for being so healthy-ish. The Meh: * Service was OK for the most part, but we did have to ask for water and coffee refills, which shouldn't really happen. The Ugly: * We visited on a random weekday and it was pretty popping, so I can imagine weekends are even busier. So be prepared for a wait unless you come early. Conclusion: Classic South Bay breakfast chain that always delivers a good meal at a reasonable price.

Very popular Bill's location. Be ready to wait for at least 15-30 minutes if you go on a weekend. Also, very full parking lot. Service was excellent and food is quality. They were very accommodating with our dog.

I come here every weekend to get pancakes, eggs and bacon. The service is amazing and the pancakes are the best I've ever had in my life! Wish I got there secret recipe! Defiantly coming here 10000 more times!

I can't believe I haven't written a review before now. Bill's Café has been a family favorite for breakfast for years. Everything I've ever ordered has been consistently fresh and delicious, and the service is always friendly and efficient. I usually try to go during off-peak times -- early morning or early afternoon before closing -- because weekends and peak hours can come with a pretty long wait. That said, it's popular for a reason. One of my favorite things is that they offer half portions on some of their classic dishes, like Eggs Benedict. I can never finish a full order, so being able to get a half portion and then add a pancake for something sweet is perfect. They also have a full bar with a great selection of breakfast cocktails. My personal favorite is their michelada. I honestly have no complaints. While it's technically a chain, it still feels like a charming neighborhood spot -- reliable, welcoming, and always a great choice for breakfast

I love me some Bill's Cafe and it's my go-to spot when visiting the Bay Area! I've had their benedicts here but I usually always go with their Country Fried Steak. The portion is so big you need two plates with all the other sides like bread and eggs. It basically needs a plate of its own. The steak is perfectly crispy and hits the spot everytime. A menu item that I've tried recently was their Bread Pudding French Toast. I took one bite and I was in love. My mom always gets this and I've always wondered why. NOW I KNOW! It's perfectly sweet and the texture of it is soft. Check Bills out and bring your family, it never disappoints with mine.

The pancakes with the combo option, choosing eggs over easy and ham

The food was excellent, had the three pancakes combo which I had optioned with the two eggs and ham. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order and the ham was a large piece and everything tasted great. Service was good, there were some brief outages, but in general, they were always there to fill your coffee. Ambience is as you would expect from a diner, comfortable seating great place to have discussions or get together's. Wouldn't he hesitate about coming back, I would have generally the same review for holders Country Inn in Almaden as well.

Hands down, my favorite local breakfast spot!! The service was so so fast! I got a table in a matter of minutes even though I was visiting on a Sunday morning. Also, within 5 min of being seated, I was already met with a server asking for drinks. The food was also pretty good. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and the country fried steak. I preferred the country fried steak, it was cooked well with a flavorful gravy. However, I felt that the crispy chicken sandwich was a bit bland, so I would pass on it next time. Overall, I would definitely keep coming back!

Nice place to bond and have some super breakfast. I like the environment and I'm comfortable with customer service.

Consistently excellent breakfast food and service. My server Rafael was able to put in my order with half bacon half sausage links, and was always prompt with the coffee refills.

I loved their outdoor seating! It's very accommodating to dogs. Its nice and roomie amd lots of tables. Bills is my go-to breakfast place with my bestie, but we wanted to do this location today. I had a cesar salad, which was pretty good. I got some scrambled eggs as my salad came with soup. I chose a lemon soup type flavor. It tasted like chicken noodle soup, but lemony. It was good, its just I couldn't have it bc it jas too much carbs. This week was my vacation week, so I chose to have alcohol instead of cheating too much in sugar and carbs. With that said, I got a bloody Mary, double shot. It 11$ and extra 4$ for the extra shot. I asked for spicy but it wasn't spicy at all! The drink was light and good enough. I've seen some pretty creative bloody Mary's! Bloody Mary's are absolutely my favorite mixed drink. Although I don't drink alcohol anymore due to health reasons. Id come to this location again as everyone is so nice and the food is pretty decent.

We sat at the bar, where Nate (the bar manager), Skyler, and Juanita absolutely crushed it. They were attentive, personable, hilarious, and somehow managed to all be ridiculously good-looking. Coincidence? I think not. When we realized we wanted to catch the last game of the NBA Finals outside, Juan, the evening manager, was more than happy to move us to the patio. That kind of flexibility and hospitality goes a long way. Great drinks, great vibes, and an even better team. They made us feel like regulars, even though it was my dad's first visit (my second visit). We'll definitely be back!

Onto the food...rib eye steak, at $58, was cooked perfectly. Not overdone and tasty with garlic butter on top. Also a decent cut of meat that wasn't tough. Price is acceptable for a 16 oz size steak of this quality. Lobster rolls as an appetizer, were just the right portion if you're not too hungry and don't want to eat a full meal. Good lobster to dough ratio and the sauce it came with was adequate. Friendly service and the restaurant was staffed appropriately for the number of patrons it had. Clean and welcoming interior. It is one of the pricier burger options around, but you can literally customize your burger to your hearts content (or other sandwich type). We have had their burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken tenders and a salad - kale quinoa. Quality of ingredients - really high, really delicious meat. Lettuce and ingredients in salad were fresh, and plentiful. Portion size - a large fry or a large onion ring feeds my whole family - when it says large, it is large.I did not trust the first time and ended up with WAY more fries than we needed. But fun fact - these reheat really well! Some do not, these are great the next day in the air fryer (same as onion rings) The only disappointing item for my son was the chicken tenders, they were very small and mostly breading. Kind of felt like we had the last remnants of a batch. Good flavor overall, just not a lot of chicken and overall this was the smallest portion size, even for a kid size. And we order from them all: Mojo, Habit, The Burger Lounge. I would rank the Stand higher than these others for quality, flavor and menu selection. But definitely at a higher price point. One thing to keep in mind - paying for McDonalds these days is close to paying for one of these higher-quality spots and I will pay more $$ any day of the week to ensure higher quality ingredients and choices.

What has been especially upsetting is watching him go out of his way to serve his regular customers--bringing them complimentary drinks, checking on them frequently, and making them feel valued--while we are treated as though we don't matter. I have even been asked to move tables so his regular customers could be accommodated. I've been a customer here for two years, yet I've never been made to feel like I belong. Instead, I've consistently felt judged, stereotyped, and treated differently from others. Whether intentional or not, the pattern of behavior has left me feeling that I was treated unfairly because of who I am....feel like this place is racist! A restaurant should make every guest feel welcome, respected, and valued. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value.
