Note: The food I received was ordered through the Door Dash app. I was craving Tom Yum Soup with chicken and something crunchy as a side. Tom Yum Soup was a major disappointment. For something crunchy I ordered the Siam Roll. Their egg roll basically and it was very good. I give them another shot, but make sure to be at the restaurant instead of ordering on Door Dash.

Everything is amazing!! We've come a few times for their lunch specials and it's always been great. The lunch special comes with an egg roll and soup. Both are delicious. My favorite is the garlic fish entree!

Nice quiet local restaurant. Not too many people usually but takeout is popular and it's has a nice ambience. If you are a vegetarian then there are tons of options more than usual at a Thai place. Most of the items can be made vegetarian including papaya salad. Food tastes good.

We're excited to eat the pad Thai (shrimp and chicken) , panang curry (chicken), the satay chicken! Some notes from the experience: This place is nice, cozy, and quiet. A little too quiet. In our hour and half that we were here, we were the only guests. I think this place may close soon. It doesn't seem like they upsell you as much as before and leave you mostly alone through your meal. In terms of the food, the satay chicken was wonderful. I think they used baking soda to tenderize this meat. It was nice and tender and we love the cucumbers. The pad Thai came with 3 shrimps which isn't bad! The amount of noodles is easily for 2-3 meals for 2 people. On the other hand, the panang curry was unremarkable. I did not enjoy the frozen carrots and green beans added. This would benefit from fresh veggies but perhaps they can't justify the cost with the slow business. I think this place is really great for a quiet date night together and would encourage people to try their satay chicken. read more

I met a friend here for lunch recently and it may have just been a particularly busy day for them, as it appeared there was only one person working as both the host and server. Because of that, service was a little slow and it took about 15 minutes before our water and food order were taken. We ordered the roti curry appetizer and the roti had a bit more oil than I expected, like it may not have been drained very well. We also ordered the Tom Yum prawn soup, which I thought was quite good. It had a nice flavor, a generous amount of prawns, and lots of mushrooms. The restaurant itself was clean and parking is very easy since it's located in a strip mall with plenty of spaces. I'd definitely be open to trying it again and exploring more items on the menu. Hopefully it was just a busy day for them and the service will be a little smoother on our next visit. read more

Genuinely a hidden gem, if you like curry I suggest coming here. It's really flavorful with all spices that come in. Décor is very nice and the food definitely speaks for itself. We love this place. It's a nice local family run restaurant that's been around for ages. Their curries and appetizers are especially great along with everything else. Would highly recommend some of their stirfrys as well like seafood prik khing. Located in the middle of the plaza so there's plenty of parking. Came during lunch time and it we were the 2nd group there. Sat down at a table quickly and got are orders in within timely fashion. The lunch special came with some soup and some cabbage with some peanut sauce. I ordered the chicken pad thai and it was a decent portion for a single person. Good food. Pad Thai is my go-to and this did not disappoint. All in all, good spot with some good thai food. read more

We really loved the curry sauce. My kid devoured her Mango Curry with Tofu $16.95. She literally ate every last drop of the mango curry sauce lol. I got the Pad Thai $14.95. We also shared the Roti $9.95. The curry definitely made the Roti appetizer, otherwise it would be bland. This was the best curry sauce I've tasted, yum. I will say that the food was cooked very well. Nothing was over or undercooked. The wings in the chili garlic sauce were great and if I only ordered that I might have given 5 stars. However, the flavor was just not meeting the mark for anything else. I ordered the Satay skewers and they tasted like plain chicken and the peanut sauce didn't really add much to it. The Pad See Ew didn't have any seasoning. It was fairly disappointing as a a meal. But the host/waiter was very friendly. So that's a positive at least. read more

Established in 2000.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, the owner of this restaurant graduated from UC Berkeley with a strong passion and interest in the food industry. Wanting to bring the tastes of the Thai people over to the bay, opening this restaurant became a great way to share the culture and cuisine of Thailand with the community. Alongside importing their ingredients from the local farmers, Erawan Thai donates a portion of proceeds to aid small, but developing schools and children in Thailand.

After waiting quite a while, I had to get up and ask another employee for assistance. I believe her name was Michelle. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and helpful, and she did her best to turn the experience around. Her customer service was excellent and was the only positive part of our visit. That said, the service at the beginning was completely unacceptable. Management should address situations like this, as customers should not have to wonder whether employees are drinking while on the job.

The Persian saffron gheymeh lamb ossobuco (lamb shank with stew and dill basmati rice) was delicious though! Lamb was incredibly tender and savory and the spiced split-pea saffron stew went well with the fluffy rice. We'll probably return to try the recommended cod and tiramisu because overall it was pretty good.

When I asked about a candle, she said she would bring it out with the birthday dessert, but brought out the restaurant's dessert instead. When she realized we had our own cake, she immediately took the bill back and said she needed to add the cake fee. The issue with that was we weren't asking them to cut or plate the cake. We just wanted to sing Happy Birthday, then have it boxed back up. She had assumed we wanted the cake service without actually asking us, and when we clarified, her response was, "Well, that's why I asked earlier," even though she hadn't actually asked us. None of us gave her a hard time or were anything but polite throughout the evening, which made the repeated attitude especially disappointing. The food wasn't terrible and the drinks were great, the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, but spending around $900, which included a 20% automatic gratuity, you'd expect the service to match the price point, even though service should always be good regardless. Unfortunately, the poor service really overshadowed what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for my friend and left all of us with a bad taste in our mouths.

Instead it read as very mayo-heavy and tasted heavy overall -- not what I was hoping for. this place was beyond friendly. i came in and it was pretty busy. i could tell that they had a lot going on. even so, the waitress was friendly and attentive. she made sure to check on my order and that it was everything i had ordered. i have ordered take-out here several times already within the past month and i've always been satisfied. they have never messed up my order and the food always tastes great when i get home. because i have always been satisfied, i believe that it's time for me to write a good yelp review. our usual take home order consists of a couple regulars: the satay chicken, siam rolls, and some curry. i'm a big fan of the yellow curry chicken, but sometimes we mix it up and get either red curry beef or mussaman curry beef and some plain sticky rice to go with curry (rice doesn't come with the meal so you have to order it on the side-- which is what i prefer... vs. having to pay for rice if i didn't want it). we also usually get the mango with sticky rice for dessert which has always been a hit with my family. the food tastes good, the people are friendly, warm and welcoming, and parking is convenient. it's also super convenient that i'm located only a couple of blocks away. if you're looking for some good thai food-- erawan is at the top! read more

Erawan Thai Cuisine is a solid neighborhood spot, but it's hit or miss depending on when you go. The food itself is usually good--especially the red curry, eggplant, and mango fried rice. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the flavors are comforting. Portion sizes are decent for the price, and the space has a cozy, low-key vibe. But the service can be inconsistent. I've had one dinner where everything came out smoothly and tasted great, and another where the appetizer arrived halfway through the main course and the staff seemed overwhelmed. If you're doing takeout, be cautious--it doesn't always travel well, and the flavors can fall flat by the time you get home. We have been coming here for years. The food is really OK. You will probably not be disappointed, but what really throws me back from dining in is their cleanness. We order to go almost always! They need to understand that a restaurant has to be cleaned throughly on a daily bases and probably more deeply every month or so. I don't know how is their prepping space and dishes or if they wash their hands between handling meat and veggie dishes, I honestly don't want to think about it. Recently ate here and must say, it was a very pleasant dining experience. From the egg rolls to the soup to the main pla rad na dish that we ordered, everything was great. The food was crispy, but not overly oily, fresh, but not expensive, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Being new to the bay area, I found it difficult to find a Thai restaurant that I could frequent often, but after visiting Erawan, I have found my place!
