Came here on a Sunday morning. The parking lot it small so be aware that you will most likely have to find a spot on the street. When it's nice outside they do have outside seating. We had a total of 5 and one high chair in our group. Upon arrival you put your name in and wait either inside on the limited seating they have or wait outside for your name to be called. If you are a drinker you can order your alcohol beverage at the bar and either get them transferred to your tables bill or close it out at the bar. The mimosas are yummy. The cleanliness is up to par and they have two single bathrooms one for female and one for male. Both bathrooms have baby changing table. I ordered the lox and cream cheese and it was delicious and light, although it did come with either hash browns or country potato along with your egg of your choosing. Our waitress was very nice and came back frequently. I've been to multiple different Bill's and none of them seem to disappoint. I will def be coming back again to enjoy breakfast/brunch. I've never tried their lunch before, maybe in the future. read more

(they have free coffee for all those waiting outside). We waitied about 30 mins. You can order Mimosa's and other morning drinks too.....has my first ever mimosa ever and it was not bad. We ordered a California Omlette and a Portobellow Benedict (like a sandwich) on an english muffin with a portobello mushroom, tomato, poached eggs, served with hollandaise sauce. The Omelette was soooooooo good!!! Never had anything so good (I guess their hot pepper sauce that made it so AWESOME). It was topped with sour cream and avocadoes..love it and the omlette had green onions and other stuff in it too, which I've never had at any other place....but was totally yummie Sadly I had to share it with my friend....URGH the pain of sharing when something is sooo good! As a non-fan of eggs Benedict, i was very reluctant to try it yet again. The menu is pretty expansive which left me indecisive as all outdoors so i then took to Yelp for guidance via good ol' reviews and the pictures! It got to the point where is was time to order, executive decisions had to be made and i, without a doubt, made the right choice. Ordered the California Benedict, avocado, bacon, tomato, poached egg, hollandaise all on an english muffin with hash browns and for a moment, i'm sure our server thought we may have left the table because not a word was exchanged during the meal. In fact, by the time i was finished with my plate, it was ready to go right back on the shelf. I believe this was one of my record times in finishing an entire plate, good stuff! read more

Due to all the wonderful yelp reviews about this place, I had to check it out. Came for Sunday brunch with the bf and this place was packed! I've never seen so many people on a lazy Sunday eating out. Thank goodness the parking wasn't too bad. I'd say the wait wasn't as bad either, we put our name on the list and the next thing you know, they had a table ready for us. One thing's for sure, fast service is always a plus. I ended up ordering a mimosa and crab cakes benedict, due to all the wonderful reviews about it. I'd say I enjoyed the mimosa more than anything because it's huge and the OJ is so fresh. The crab cakes, however, didn't live up to its hype. It was way too salty and the hollandaise sauce was way too bland. With that being said, next time I come here I plan on trying something else and possibly bumping up the ratings, but until then 3 stars for the place. read more

Oh man - this place was good. I got a Bills skillet (thing - i dont remember what it was called it was my first time going) - it had country fried potatoes, mushrooms, cheese, onions, bell peppers, and 2 eggs however you like them. It was delicious and a big portion. I absolutely HATE bellpeppers, but i managed to finish my entire serving without a complaint. My friend got a special of the day - which was a hawaiian omelette. Pineapple, ham, with hollndaise sauce over it. It was good (i had a few bites). We also shared a Banana Belgium Waffle. OMG... the breakfast is AMAZING! Thanks to being sick, I couldn't sleep in like I normally would and decided to have breakfast and my friends recommended Bill's Cafe. Thanks to fellow Yelpers ;], they helped me decide on the banana french toast and the crab cake benedict. Both were large, filling, beautiful portions, our service was FANTASTIC! The server kept coming around making sure we were okay and best of all, although it was crowded, we were seated right away! The only thing I was disappointed was the fact that it said that the bananas on top of the french toast would be fried.. and it was barely brown! :[ It would've added a nice crisp to the mushiness of a banana so I ended up not touching it. Delicious brunch! I've been here twice, the first time I got the California Benedict which was really good. I like avocado and tomatoes :) When I was here this weekend, I got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It was a lot of food, since it came with two eggs and 3 strips of bacon.. I could not finish. The french toast was unique, it was a bit on the sweet side though, since it's a cinnamon roll. I always think I like french toast more than I actually do, usually because I'm thinking of the delicious cinnamon brioche french toast from La Note in Berkeley. Most of the time I end up kind of disappointed with my french toast, but I was happy with my Cinnamon Roll French Toast here :) I'm glad it came with the eggs/bacon though because the french toast itself might have been a sugar overload for me. read more

Decided to try Bill's Cafe yesterday after we got back from our 4th of July weekend in Santa Cruz. We got there around 10am on a Sunday and to my surprise the crowd wasn't that bad, we had to wait maybe 15 minutes for a table. They have a coffee table set up outside so you can drink your heart out while you wait, and I thought that was awesome! We ended up being seated outside and it was probably the best thing. The day was beautiful and it was very refreshing to eat in nature. Now to the food, I ordered the Bacado omelette, mom got the portobello omelette and the nieces got mini pancakes and orange juice. The orange juice knocks your socks off its so delicious! It has that freshly squeezed taste which is great! The syrup for the pancakes tastes almost like a caramel sauce, yum, so delicious you want to lick the plate. The omelette were just ok for me. They are thin, but the toppings are tasty. I found this place on yelp and decided to try it out due to all the good reviews. I came on a Wednesday at 9:30. There were a lot of customers but it wasn't crazy. I ordered the portobello Benedict and it was delicious! It came with a side of hash-browns. I'm a person that eats a lot but I couldn't even finish this because of how full it made me. The portion is fairly large so I would recommend getting the half size if you're not a big eater. I also had some coffee. I like that the servers come to you and pour you some coffee every once in a while so that you're not constantly having to ask for some. I'm too shy to have to ask so I'm sure there's other out there like me. I only had one issue. My friend called in 20 minutes prior for a reservation (because they don't do legit reservations) and she put it under her name. Once I got there, I gave the hostess my friend's name and she said that they didn't have that name but she didn't even bother to check. Another hostess came and said that she was the one who took the call and she directed me to my table. I still give it 5 stars because the food was really good. read more

I don't like to write reviews when there are so many already but this place blew my mind. It was my first time here and my boyfriend took me because we both love brunch. We ordered: Banana bread pudding french toast Chocolate pancake Potatoes Crab cake Benedict Mimosa Banana bread pudding was BOMB! I don't think they fully cooked the alcohol off in the sauce because it still tasted strongly of whatever they used but it was still fantastic. Not recommended for kids at all. Potatoes slightly under cooked but it's to be expected when the wait time is what it is. Chocolate pancake was amazing. I hate pancakes but this pancake was epic and loaded with chocolate and I LOVE chocolate. Buttery and chocolately, OH MY! Crab cake Benny looked heavenly....to my boyfriend. This place is insane the Hawaiian pancakes are so good and I got the bread pudding French toast was amazing. The Petaluma scramble was also really good. Signature mimosa were amazing, I drink the entire thing in one sip. It was a long wait but so worth it. There is also coffee while you wait. Finished a week with my friends at Bills this morning. I've been here before on numerous occasions, and the food has always been decent. On this particular trip I decided to try their more unique item, the Morning Quesadilla without meat (bacon). I liked it. It wasn't to heavy and there was no particular taste that was overwhelming the rest. I usually prefer my hash browns a little more crisp, but I thought my hash today was a little soft. It still tasted great. It's a great breakfast spot with very generous portions. The service was efficient and great, and there was only a few minutes wait this morning around 9am. In terms of the quality and taste of the food, there are a few others that I like a lot more so I can't justify a 5 here. read more

What I loved about this place was the quick service. I was attended to right when I walked it. The place does get crowded really quickly so you would need to go early if you have more than one other person because seats will fill up fast. Coffee is just plain black coffee that actually tastes good. Waiters will check up on you and are really friendly. The waffles were really good , crispy on outside and warm soft inside, with fresh sweet strawberries and whip cream. Hash browns taste like it was made with a good healthy oil not fat oil. We were originally going to try another brunch place but they just happened to close that day due to interior construction. So we decided to come to Bill's Cafe since it's close by and my friend said it was pretty good the last time she was here! When we arrived, we were very lost because even though there were many servers walking around, no one offered to seat us until a few minutes later...so we kind of just stood there looking like idiots... When we were finally seated at our table, the waiter decided to only give us 1 glass of water...because I guess they ran out of cups and I was expected to share it with my friend...(they didn't bring the second glass until much later) They got our order wrong...TWICE! First they served us the wrong food...then they served me white toast even though I had ordered wheat toast... My scramble dish was SUPER bland...I really believe that the chef forgot to put salt in it because it has absolutely no flavor whatsoever! My hash brown was very crispy and delicious but the toast came out really soggy because of the butter that they spread on it...I really wished they had just toasted it and served it plain so I could spread my own butter/jam on it... Rude. I had surgery and cannot eat very much. I was refused to be able to order a child sized breakfast. They were rude. It was greedy. After long hours of Black Friday shopping, we headed over to Bill's Cafe. It was the first time for a lot of us so we were pretty excited since we've only heard good stuff about this restaurant. I always imagined it to be a lot fancier, but it's more diner like. I got the Smoked Salmon Benedict, and it was delish! They don't skimp on the salmon (yay!) and the egg was awesome. The hash browns are okay, but nothing too special. I had to put a little bit of pepper on it, but not too shabby. For about $11 per person, it's a steal! I couldn't finish half of my plate, so the other half was taken home as leftovers. I can definitely see why people love this brunch place. read more

I'm definitely not an early riser, so I usually only get the chance to eat breakfast at its normal time, once in a rare blue moon. After a early morning of shopping at Nordstrom for their anniversary sale (7AM!) I was starved for some good ol' breakfast to regain my energy. Came over to Bill's around 10ish on a Friday morning and was seated right away. Ordered myself a short stack of pancakes with fresh strawberrries. The waiter was very accommodating since I requested to have actual fresh strawberries on top of my pancakes rather than being cooked into my pancakes. Something about cooked fruits grosses me out. The pancakes were yummy, strawberries were sweet, and my sausages were okay. I didn't leave feeling guilty, like I usually do after having breakfast at dennys.. at 2am. Next time I'm going to make an effort to wake up early on a weekend and head over to the Willow Glen location for my free shot of tequila and of course, their infamous mimosas! read more

Finally made it out to the famous Bill's cafe. We got there around 1pm and the wait was 15 mins for a party of two which wasn't bad. I saw something on the menu that I've never seen anywhere else, so I knew I had to try it. The Hawaiian pancakes with bananas, coconut and macadamia nuts. I was really hoping the flavors would work together and they did! Disclaimer, it looks like a really boring pancake but it's cause everything is cooked into it, so don't let that fool you. It's mainly a banana pancake and the banana is cooked into the batter which keeps its soft. It's not overly sweet so you don't get tired of it fast. My friend got the meat lovers omelette. My Trip out to Bill's I'm gonna say I had a really good experience. Was greeted and seated in just a sec. Or two. Location is good and easy to get to right off 880. The service excellent, food is always good. Tried the Greek omelette can never go wrong with an omelette. Atmospher is inviting you didn't have to shout here to talk with one another and the place was busy. I sure enjoyed my breakfast out at Bill's. You always know your portions are going to be fulfilling and leave wanting to come back over and over. This sure will not be my last trip out to this location. Got there around 940 am this morning, it was already crowded, but since there was only 2 of us, we were able to sit down immediately. I did notice there was free coffee outside for people who were waiting. The menu is fairly extensive...so many things I wanted to try. but I ended up getting their "french toast sandwich" which basically is french toast, two eggs and choice of bacon or sausage. Pretty decent. Nothing spectacular. My friend had the "Southern Scramble" which included country sausage, scrambled eggs, Country gravy on top of a biscuit that also came with a side of hashbrowns. He LOVED his breakfast and said it was very tasty, the gravy was a lot better than many places in the area. Staff was friendly. It didn't take long for our orders to arrive. We ordered coffee, and we never had to ask for a refill since they came around frequently to refill it. The decor is simple. There were tables, larger booths for a bigger crowd as well as a few counter seats depending on how many is in your party. There are also 6-8 tables outside surrounding the restaurant. It isn't a very big place, so I can see why it would get crowded on the weekends. Parking is limited as well, but there was a sign saying that patrons could park across the street at Zanatto's Grocery on Sat/Sun. With two breakfasts and two coffees it came out to be $22....not bad. Next time I go back, I plan on trying their eggs benedicts which I hear are pretty good. read more

Hands down the best breakfast in San Jose. Their Benedict's are absolutely perfect and their breakfast burrito is killer as well. You will almost always have to wait 15-25 minutes to get a table but the miracle about this place is the service is FAST! Once you order you will be indulging in breakfast bliss within ten minutes - yeee! The only thing they could work on is the quality of their coffee (bland, watery), but, if you grab a cup of it outside while you're waiting it's free, so, they lose no stars :) read more

Came here last Sunday for breakfast before heading up to the City with the camera to snap some shots of Pride. Ordered a half/half order of Crab Cake Benefict and the one with Carnitas, They were both just okay, the Crab Cake was a little on the bland side and the hollandaise sauce was a little on the sweet side for me. Carnitas could have been alot better as well. Overall both just okay items. Hash browns were alright too, not my favorite but not bad. A little on the mushy side if you like it prepared like that. I tried out the banana macadamian nut coconut pancake though and that defintiely hit the spot. Might have just been the dishes I got but I didn't find anything spectacular about this spot. Will try something else the next time i'm here. I feel like a majority of the reviews are for the mimosas and bloody marys lol. read more

I ordered the California eggs benedict. As with any eggs benedict, it is all about the hollandaise sauce which was pretty smooth. The portions were good. The staff was not particularly good. I noticed the guy pouring the water spilled a huge portion on the table and didn't bother to wipe it up. I don't think he even noticed. read more

Somehow I have lived in San Jose my entire life, and it took me 23.7 years to come here. Boy, was I missing out. We arrived at 10 am on a Sunday morning and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated (although I have seen and heard how long the line gets throughout the day). We began the meal with the highly talked about goblet mimosas and I was happy with the fruit addition at the bottom of my glass For my meal I got the Mexican Benedit. Oh. My. God. I now have a favorite dish of all time! I would eat it every weekend if I could :). Imagine: English muffin, pork carnitas, over easy egg, rancheros sauce. Omnom.
