If they offer you bread, just say yes, thank you. The far left was so yummy!

10 out of 10 recommend!! Rafael took great care of us this evening! As a non-sushi eater, the sushi was great! This place always tends to fill up but thankfully we are always lucky enough to get a table without having reservations. The littlest things make a difference and this place has the little things, like the stands for your bags/purses. We actually sat inside, though we normally enjoy the patio.

High quality and upscale brunch spot. The service is amazing. The drinks were some of the best we've ever had.

Amazing experience. Shoutout to our server, Matthew, for above and beyond stellar service throughout our dining experience! I had their fresh Jumbo Prawns, 6 pieces. Huge and delicious! Butternut Squash Soup, the greatest I've ever had, very flavorful! Their beet salad was crisp, fresh, and mouthwatering! Their Margarita Mediterranean didn't disappoint! Excellent mixologist! For dessert, it's not on their menu, seasonal only, French Berry Cobbler. This baby was served hot with vanilla ice cream, bursting with berry flavors. I highly recommend you try them all! Playing very hip music in the background, it felt like a Mediterranean vibe, overall. I had a phenomenal experience! Yes, I'm returning! Highly recommended! Cheers and Enjoy!!! 5 Stars and Beyond!!!

5 stars I had such a lovely experience at Bistro 31! The atmosphere is elegant and upscale, perfect for a date night or a chic lunch with friends. I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and well-dressed--not too heavy, just right. For my main, I had the sea bass, and it was absolutely divine--perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor. They offer valet parking, which is super convenient, but you can also find parking in the shopping center if you prefer. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and everything about the vibe felt elevated yet comfortable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a classy dining spot in Dallas! Cost: $$$ Parking: Valet & Self Parking Noise Level: Low

Cute little spot in Highland Park Village. Had an hour to myself and drove from my hotel for a drink and dessert. Service was excellent and my food was delicious.

Bistro 31 is located right in the heart of Highland Park Village. It's a small eatery with a lot of natural lighting and a local clientele. We started with the Mediterranean octopus. I had the wild caught salmon which came with asparagus and vegetables. It was quite good. My friend had a Caesar salad and she liked it. It's not a very large restaurant, but it is quite quaint. Service was attentive. Overall, I enjoyed our lunch and would come back again.

ANTHONY J IS THE BEST. He took care of us the entire time. His energy is just very captivating and it made us have a great time. It was super packed the weekend that we went and he still found time to check on us and make sure we were doing ok. Great service from him. Would definitely go back to see him!

The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management, Michael, and staff, Stephen, are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend Bistro 31!

Tuna Tartare, Grilled Salmon, Olive Oil Cake I had never been to the private room here before this visit, and it was gorgeous! There is a stairway to it on the outside of the restaurant and the room itself is massive and spacious with a full service bar. The food was not up to its usual par, unfortunately, possibly due to how many of us were present. The tuna tartare was very much just okay. The grilled salmon was great and tender. The olive oil cake was pretty good but nothing to write home about

I attended a bridesmaids luncheon upstairs in the lounge today and it was absolutely perfect. Appetizers were delicious. Drinks were great and lunch was superb. Service was amazing.

Amazing! In Dallas for a few days to visit with my favorite niece and she brought us here! Wow! Definitely a place to see and be seen! Watch out for the Pear Pressure, it's fire!

Took myself on a lunch date to Bistro 31 June 2024 Monday Reservation made online for 11:45 (12:15, my preferred, wasn't available) Parking: Around 11:45, parking was perfect. Valet is available for the shopping center as well. Around 12:45, parking was still available but it's busier during that time. Staff: Perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. Ambiance: cozy, light chatter, well lit. Accommodations: ladies, they bring you a purse rack for your bag. Food: I am a rigatoni girlie. The server told me to get it with blackened chicken, so I decided to do that for the $9 upcharge. I would explore other options on the menu next time, but 3.9/5. Price: fair for the area. $40 for just the pasta, really. I had water to drink. $10 for the tip. Cute little restaurant- would return.

Bistro 31 - a beautiful eatery in a beautiful environment! Parking: I guess it depends on the time. We went on a Monday evening via uber and saw about 20% parking capacity available. It is in an outdoor mall of sorts so if you circle around a few times you'll find parking! Drinks: a great wine selection from Europe, California and Australia! Food: we had so many things but not many pictures as we were enjoying g the vibe. The Dover Sole was my favorite. They said it could serve two but it really can't - we had to order another, which wasn't a problem as they had it ready in about 12 minutes. Some had the steak and some had and some had Branzino and some had salmon. Everyone, including myself, raved about the foie gras! We had a variety of desserts that were freshly made and tasted delicious! Service: absolutely excellent service! Our waitress was the best. We said we wanted a candle lit dinner and she delivered by finding us some birthday candles and constantly refreshing the batch when they dwindled. She had an upbeat personality and was super friendly. Atmosphere/vibe: this is certainly in a ritzy part of Dallas so be prepared for that sort of a crowd. It had great indoor and outdoor dining. Apparently they also have a rooftop. Age group: all ages Bathroom: didn't use it! Return: absolutely

We celebrated our anniversary yesterday by going to one of our favorite places in Dallas. St…read more Martin's Wine Bistro is a life changing dining experience! Because yesterday was also Anthony Bourdain day, we celebrated by trying a food we had never tried before: Steak Tartare! Oh. My. God. It was luscious and divine. We enjoyed the Shrimp St. Martin-poached shrimp in a delectable beurre-blanc sauce. Of course, we had to share a bowl of my love language: Champagne and Brie Soup. There aren't words for the moment you sip your first taste. Your eyes roll into the back of your head as you savor the explosion of flavor. For entrees, I had the Sole Meunière. Seared perfectly in butter and the only place outside of France that has done this fish justice. James had the Scallops and Pork Belly. It was a new spin on surf and turf. Judging by how little he spoke to me during his meal, I am assuming it was fabulous. He did give me a bite and the scallop was prepared perfectly and was probably the best scallop that I've had in DFW. The restaurant sent us over 2 glasses of house-made bourbon crème for our anniversary. It was similar to Baileys, but on steroids. For dessert, we walked back over to the bar for after dinner drinks. James enjoyed a glass of Abelour Scotch neat. It's his favorite as it's not peaty at all. Jamie, the bartender, made me the best espresso martini that I've ever had! Fresh espresso mixed with espresso liqueur, reposado tequila and bourbon cream. She hit the top with flame to settle the bubbles in order to add espresso beans. Honestly, it was the best meal that I've had outside of France.

My date and I had an incredible experience at St. Martin's Wine Bistro…read more The ambiance sets the tone immediately. It's dark, moody, and effortlessly romantic, with a live pianist playing throughout the evening. It's the kind of place that feels intimate without being stuffy, perfect for a date night. The service was honestly some of the best I've had in Dallas. My water never dropped below two sips from full, the team was that attentive. It became amusing (in the best way) how on top of everything they were. Our waiter, Rene, was outstanding. He provided stellar recommendations from starters to entrées, drinks, and desserts. I trusted him enough to let him choose my glass of wine to follow my cocktail, and he nailed it. He also walked us through the menu in detail, which was incredibly helpful as first-time guests. The food absolutely delivered: * Shrimp St. Martins - Five jumbo de-veined shrimp in a rich, butter-like sauce that was decadent without being overwhelming. * Frisée Aux Lardon Salad - Rene thoughtfully split this tableside and served it onto individual plates. The dressing leans heavily Dijon-forward, so order accordingly if you're not a mustard fan. That said, the bacon was some of the best I've ever had: thick, slightly sweet, and perfectly cooked. * Sea Bass Ratatouille - Served over a tomato sauce, it was flavorful, well-balanced, and not too heavy. * Rack of Lamb - An extremely generous portion (which I happily helped my date finish). It was boldly seasoned and on the saltier side, which I personally loved, though I understand that may not be for everyone. * Affogato - A simple but perfect way to close out the meal. Between the romantic atmosphere, top-tier service, and excellent food, this is easily one of the better dining experiences I've had in Dallas.

The decor and overall ambiance are definitely picture-perfect and create a great setting for celebrations, girls' outings, or anyone looking for a cute, photo-worthy experience. Unfortunately, the menu selections were a bit too limited for our preferences. We decided to try a few different items, but the food didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the photos. While everything looked appealing, the flavors were underwhelming. The highlight of the visit was definitely the drinks--they were well-crafted, enjoyable, and probably the main reason I would recommend stopping by. Service was attentive. Overall, if you're looking for a beautiful tea party atmosphere, great photo opportunities, and tasty drinks, this spot may be worth checking out. Update for 31-May As…read morewe were staying at the hotel this is in, we walked down for brunch. The good: - Not busy - Server Caleb is quite pleasant - Scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes were tasty - Yogurt Parfait was tasty but way too big. It was served in a large bowl. Way overkill. The not so great: - My wife's meal took over an hour to come out. Ordered just after 10 am and came out at 11:08 am - The Croque Madam needs to be removed from the menu. A French person would have been horrified at this dish In summary over three meals in the last 30 days, the food is hit and miss and the Kitchen is very slow. I love the location but I'm not sure we'll come back to eat at Toussaint. ---------- We mostly enjoyed our meals here. This review is for two visits that we've made here in the last 30 days. Our first visit here was on May 9, following an afternoon concert up the block at the Majestic Theatre. We popped in here about 5:30 pm and we shared a meal. They were able to do a kitchen split of the French dip meal. It was really tasty. The bartender worked the bar and the entire dining room. Must have been short handed that night but he did great. This weekend (May 29), we ended up staying at the Saint Elm Hotel which occupies the same building. We ended up at the Toussaint for dinner one night. We each had the French Onion Soup and we shared the Braised Short Rib dinner. The French Onion Soup was very good. It's in my top 3 of all time! The Braised Short Rib dinner - kitchen split, came out and presented great. Unfortunately, it was not served hot. It was barely warm. We sent it back for reheating. It came back out about 15 minutes later. The mashed potatoes, mushroom and gravy were warm. The short rib was not. We ate it cool anyway as we had a show to get to and I didn't really want to send it back again. That said, the potatoes, mushrooms and gravy had great flavor. The above all said for this dinner - I'd still come back to try other dinner dishes. Not sure my wife would agree.

The decor is classic and doesn't have much fanfare which I think fits the French vibe. We sat outside on the patio and even though it was scorching outside, because of the tent-style covering and air conditioning the place was kept cool. The patio is dog friendly as well. When we got there the host was with us immediately and found us a table. I'm thinking they might've also been a manager because they were walking throughout the restaurant checking on everyone even though they weren't too busy. Really liked how diligent they were. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about our server. He was very nice and gave good recommendations when asked, but we barely saw the guy throughout our meal. The host/manager that was there came more than once to check on us and bring us anything we needed, but if he wasn't there I think we wouldn't have had anyone else come up to us besides taking the orders, dropping them off, and bringing us the check (which we had to hunt them down for). The food itself was really good thankfully. The duck was delicious and my partner loved his croque madame! I had a bite of his and immediately got jealous because I had been craving brunch and his dish fit that theme perfectly, unlike mine. I left nothing on my plate whereas he couldn't finish his because it was too much heavy food for him. We also got the truffle deviled eggs as a starter and they had great flavor, though the filling was a little dry for my taste. Nothing wrong with it since it was just a matter of personal preference. I don't know if we'll be back since the service was inconsistent, but at least it was a good meal.

Oh man... what a let down this visit was for us…read more My wife and I have come here at least once a year for the past 3 years, and we've always loved this place. The food has always been great and the experience was something we looked forward to. That's why we chose to celebrate an early Valentine's Day here -- to avoid the crazy rush and the preset menu. But this time? Completely different experience. We got seated right away because of our reservation, which was great. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come by -- no big deal. I ordered an Old Fashioned and honestly... the bartender needs some help. It came out full of crushed ice and tasted watered down. I sent it back, and the second one was basically the same drink with more whiskey thrown in. At that point, I just let it go. Then things just kept going downhill. After about 20 minutes, we realized we hadn't gotten any bread. We asked the waiter and he said he'd check. Another 10 minutes go by and he comes back saying, "Still no bread," and drops off the wrong appetizer -- we had only ordered a salad. He takes it back, and it's another 15 minutes before our actual salad shows up. Still no bread. At one point, we could literally see him arguing with someone in the back about why we didn't get bread yet. Not exactly something you want to watch during a date night. The food, when it finally came out, was delicious. No complaints there. But it took forever. By the time we were eating, it was about 45 minutes until closing... and we had gotten there two hours earlier. Then comes the payment situation. The waiter brings the check back and casually tells me I gave him two credit cards and he "just picked the brighter one." I look down and he had handed me someone else's credit card while mine was still sitting in the book. That's not a small mistake. Overall, it just felt unorganized and sloppy this time. I don't know if they're short staffed or just getting too busy for their own good, but it was disappointing, especially for a place we've genuinely enjoyed in the past. Hoping it was just an off night... but it definitely made us think twice about coming back.
