    Yummy and large seafood risotto
    Jordan J.

This is definitely a place for business lunches. However that being said, I've found the food to be quite wonderful and the servers always have a warm attitude. Plus when it's warmer out the patio is a nice area to sit in. They seem to do seafood well and from the calamari appetizers to the seafood risotto, they were all delicious and generously portioned. A few of their pastas are made fresh and the linguine was definitely one of the better pastas I've had recently. For dessert, they have gelato and affogato that are pretty spot on. The only thing I'd lament is their pricing. This is defiantly a more expensive meal as the pastas are $25 and up so keep that in mind.

I don't know why we keep coming here. This is your stereotypical garden variety Midtown Italian that has no distinguishing features and the food is also straight down the middle of the road. I guess the outdoor seating can be an attraction for those who want to bake themselves in the sun. We used to live across the street so this used to be the lazy choice if we did not want to go beyond our immediate neighborhood, and to be fair compared to the other selections up an down the street in a five-block radius this one is probably modestly above average. That said the relative comparison versus other under performers does not a good destination restaurant make and Milano is definitely not somewhere you think about going if you happen to be more than 2 blocks away. The service however is very efficient and courteous, and the staff make sure that you are well taken care of, that in my mind helped to prop up the rating a bit. Also on the menu, they make sure to highlight that the pasta is made fresh on the premises - which if I take at face value places this place above the run of the mill place slinging prefab out-of-the-box pasta.

Let me start by saying I'm a tough critic and to get a 5 it would have to be absolutely fab from start to finish! Bistro Milano was very good and I would recommend. Very nice daily specials for wine and food, had a great super Tuscan on the daily special at a decent price. Service even at a busy lunch hour was super efficient and fast. My wife had a bolognese that was rich and delicious, I had the short rib sauce and the pasta was homemade and cooked perfectly. We finished with the Fondue con cioccolato bianco that needed to have the 'fondue' warmer but the cappuccino was great. Would I tell you to drive in from Brooklyn to go there, probably not. Would I say if you are in the area go there, Definitely!

If you like pasta and don't mind spending 20 or more than you will like it here. The service and food was good but I don't believe it's worth the price. I've had meals that tasted just as good for half the price at other places. I'm not a wine drinker but I tried some and it was good. The bread was a bit hard but tasted fine. Nice little place to visit.

The food here is pretty good, steep price tag and small portions, but good. You start off with an assorted bread basket and olive oil/ balsamic vinegar. The calamari is definitely unique in that many people are used to the fried version. However, the pistachio flavors nicely complement the crispness of the squid and the dish does work. They only give you four pieces though so if you are with a table of more people, you might have to more food. My favorite part of meal was definitely the Tagliatelle Verdi Paglia E Fieno it is DELICIOUS. It's basically a fancy spin on pasta carbonara except more fresh and authentic. The pasta is made on premises and you can never go wrong with prosciutto and cream sauce. If you were deciding between dishes get the tagliatelle and you won't regret it. I tried Mezze Lune Di Vitello which was ravioli with veal- and it wasn't bad. But the sauce is so overpowering with flavor and the ravioli itself was so salty that both flavors combined were VERY salty. Should it be less salty the dish would be more tasty. My father loves their tiramisu and they have a lot of dessert options even for lunch and it is a popular place for business lunches. Overall, small portions, pricey food, but pretty good if you were willing to pay the price tag.

Party of 3 for dinner. A bit off the beaten path and hard to see if you blink. Warm welcome by hostess. Nice ambiance. Not too noisy. Waitress was a bit short with some audible sighs as we selected meals and wines, albeit slowly Food: Tagliatelle was amazingly delicious. Perfectly cooked. Definitely the star dish of the evening from our selections Lasagna was good. Had a savory spice that took some getting used to. "Salad" was definitely not a dinner portion or a salad really. It was a small drizzle of lettuce on a plate. Added chicken which was shoved on the side (see pics). Overall, the pasta is probably very safe and delicious. Service from our server in particular hold have been better. Would return.

    Rigatoni alla Bolognese

Same great outdoor atmosphere. RIGATONI BOLOGNESE: We both had the rigatoni alla bolognese. It was very good but needed more sauce. Plus, I'm not Italian, nor am I an expert on Italian food... So I googled "rigatoni". It looked like penne, so I thought I'd be fine with it, but each noodle was about 1.5" x 1.5" and very thick. I think Penne would've been more tender. All that said, I'd order it again, with extra sauce and maybe regular spaghetti noodles. DESSERT: We shared the chocolate and fruit fondue. It is both white and milk chocolate in the same dish side by side. I was concerned that it was not going to be enough chocolate for all the fruit, but it was plenty, with chocolate left over.

Disclaimer: I will review Bistro Milano multiple times because I work in the building they are in. We often take clients here for lunch, and the staff is wonderful. They are always friendly and make you feel like family. Today I had the arugula salad with shrimp, toasted hazelnuts, parmesan, fennel, green apple, and a lemon vinaigrette - the combination is perfect!! The crunch of the hazelnuts with the fennel and arugula is delectable.

Great place for great Italian food. The bread given is amazing, if you enjoy a little bit of spice then ask for the spicy olive oil. The bread and oil went perfect. Also if in the mood for pizza try the margarita pizza. If vegetarian there are salads, pasta and the vegetarian pizza is also not that bad. The kale salad was delicious and consisted of blueberries, kale and more -- pretty sour salad. The waiter we had was okay because he didn't explain the meals right. But a great place if looking for some Italian food. The inside is very nice also extremely clean!

The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

When we entered the restaurant and took the elevator up to the restaurant, we were delighted to find free wine provided for us to pour in the elevator. Admittedly, it was red wine, so not my favorite, and it did taste cheap, but still appreciated. To start off, we ordered the onion torta, focaccia, and smashed potatoes. The onion torta was surprisingly good and tasted like a form of french onion soup. As a focaccia enthusiast, the focaccia was fluffy and delicious. We also got the charred beans, carrots, ravioli, tagliatelle, ravioli, and trout to share. The charred beans were surprisingly the long beans and not the smaller ones we expected. However, they were very juicy and better than we thought they would be. The rigatoni resembled cacio e pepe with its pepperiness, the tagliatelle tasted like standard red sauce, but i did enjoy the ravioli and the ricotta inside. For dessert, we had the basque cheesecake which was alright, but I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake. Overall, we had a great time at Ci Siamo and I would definitely recommend ordering the focaccia and onion torta and we could have skipped the carrots, beans, trout, and tagliatelle.
