I went here last Tuesday with a friend to do Puzzled Pint (brain game event every month, I highly recommend it if you like that kind of thing!) and enjoyed my experience! I walked in around 6:00pm and didn't notice anyone right away, so I walked over to the bar- that's where the all day happy hour is on Tuesdays and where the event was. I picked a seat and my friend met up with me. Between the two of us, we ordered 2 wedge salads, loaded potato skins, and chicken tenders and the price split was really affordable, about $12 each!!! The food was pretty good, the potato skins a bit dry, I thought, and the service was a little slower since the event was happening and the bar area was busier than normal, other than that it was a great experience with great prices! I would definitely come back! The parking lot is huge and easy to navigate, too, what a bonus! read more

Service was horrible! We went there around 3pm so the place was not busy at all. We got seated and had to wait awhile for our waitress to show up. She took our order and took forever to bring out the drinks. She didn't bring the bread out and we had to ask her. It took awhile to receive that. We finally got our meal and not once did she come and check up on us. She was nowhere to be found so busboy who saw us ended up refilling our drinks. We had to wait longer to ask for a box and a check. We had to ask her to pack our dessert to go because we had no time to enjoy it. I'm not sure what she was doing when the place looked pretty empty. There were many employees there that looked like they weren't doing anything. Manager was supposed to be working that night so not sure what he was managing. I've seen people standing by the hostess desk waiting for someone to help them when the place wasn't busy! I gave this much of star because the food was great. Taste and temperature was excellent! chef did a great job! Service was really disappointing. read more

I usually don't leave reviews but the food was Great. The service was Great. The only thing is we got our entree before our appetizer. Which by the time we got out appetizers we were half way done with our meal. So we didn't really eat off our appetizers which sucks because we got the meal for 2 and it already came included in the price. But overall not bad. read more

I stopped coming here for awhile because the service and quality of the food wasn't the same anymore. So after 2/3 years I thought I'd stop by because I was in the area and craving steak. Well much hasn't changed it's only gotten worse. The dirty vegetables the smell from the carpet and the food was horrible. I didn't even order my meal paid for the my soup and soda and left. Either the chef is blind or doesn't care, there's no explanation. If you don't like your job then quit and go somewhere else. This is food that people EAT and put in their BODY. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Get a chef who cares about the food they put out. read more

We came on a Sunday night around 630ish. The wait was only around 2 minutes. I love the seating at this place. They have really tall booths. It's very intimate. Sadly, the service wasn't so great. The waitress we had seemed to not want to be working, and it made us feel a bit awkward. Luckily though, the other staff members working were much more approachable and inviting. So we came for the dinela menu. Which in itself was confusing. They have 2 different dinner menus 1 for 25$ and 35$. We got the 35$ 3 course meal. The difference being a few more entrée options and larger sizes. We got the loaded potato skins and fried zucchini as appetizers. Both were really good. 1 of the potato skins was super super crispy, like to the max! I wasn't able to bite thru it. For the entrée we ended up getting 12 Oz steaks 1 New York cut and 1 sirloin center cut. We concluded that the New York cut was much more flavorful and tender. For dessert we got chocolate cake and the mud pie. Both were absolutely amazing. Although the cake is more like a brownie with ice cream on top. Still a very good meal and experience overall. Oh and the sides for the steaks! That broccoli was delicious! Like really delicious read more

It's DineLA week again~ This time I tried Black Angus as I haven't been to restaurants for steak for a LONG time. They have high back booths and thought it would be ok to dine in. We called ahead to reserve a table on a weekday for dinner just in case. When we got there, there was no line. We asked for the DineLA menu and ordered a set from each of the $25 and $35 Menu. Kevin was super nice the whole time and kept bringing us the yummy bread. The $35 set also came with a glass of red or white wine. The steaks came out with real good flavor, and exactly how we ordered them (not over cooked). The sides and appetizers were good. I especially like the loaded potato skin and Mac and cheese. The desserts were yummy too. We ended up bringing desserts to go cause there were too much food. It was a great deal!!! When I drove pass the place before, they sometimes do valet parking. I havent been to black angus since i was a kid and the quality is different than i remember lol but it was still a very memorable dining experience. I want the young girl that was our hostess yesterday to have a raise, she was such a sweet heart and held it down with poise. She made my week with her kindness, her energy is what everyone should strive to give. I should've gotten her name but she will know who she is. Thank you so much babe! This evening myself and a friend were at Black Angus in Burbank. There was a very disgruntled guest, they had a lap dog , a Pomeranian in the restaurant. The dog was not a service service dog. Justin and Isabel though they were confronted in a very rude manner handle them selves, very professionally, where it didn't disrupt the dinner service for other guests that were felt or made very uncomfortable when a guest got out of hand regarding their pet. The dog owner did not understand the definition of a service dog or trying to maintain their dog under the table as per managements now. When the dog owners were asked to leave they were very rude to other customers as well as to management. After the dog owners laughed they realized that they had dropped their phone on the side of the booth that they were in. Justin spent a good solid 25 minutes trying to get their phone out of the booth between the wall. He was not rude to the guests but the gas was rude to other guests. It was a relief to have the dog owners gone. read more

Went in for their Feast For Two special and it was soooo good! Jessie was our server and his service was amazing! Very attentive and on top of everything we needed. This is our "go to" spot. The waitresses are usually pretty nice. Even though "steak" is in their title, their steaks are only "ok". Not the best quality of meat, but i guess that's what we pay for because they are inexpensive. My favorite here is their CHEESEBURGERS. YUMMY!!! I think their meat is perfect for burgers. Spinach dip with breadcrumbs on top was not that good. Very bland. But the atmosphere here is cool and the servers are great! Go and have drinks with friends at the bar and order burgers and fries, its perfect for that . read more

Had a great dinner with my family. Black Angus restaurant is always a family favorite. Ordered the sampler. Always the best! Had the Cowboy Meal and burgers for my boys. Kudos to the chef for the steaks were great and grilled to perfection. And here's the best part, Jesse, is our server. His service was great. Felt like we were dining in a 5 star hotel restaurant. Jesse was very attentive and polite at all times. Told his manager, German, about his awesome service. German replied - he is my best server. Totally wonderful experience! read more

Our Server was Aliyah - she was fun, detailed, funny, enthusiastic, helpful and very accommodating. Having health issues that require certain food restrictions, Aliyah was very concerned, researched our needs and provided exactly what we needed. Other than no sugar free options for desserts, and only one sugar free soda choice for diabetics, the food and service were wonderful for the four of us celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Back to the fries, we all were mindblown with how tavern fries could be this good and had so many flavors. Even the skinny queens in our group kept snacking on them which tells you how good these were. Mac and cheese came and it was standard and creamy but not necessarily something I'd return for. The surprising thing on top of the fries that majority of us loved was the Vegan Tomato Scampi with shrimp. It was fire and had me questioning if it was even Vegan. Would definitely return here if I find my way back to SoCal from the Bay. Great unassuming place with great food and vibes. Their bathroom as well is super clean and nice! Love this place!

The live music is also a plus, adding in to the atmosphere of this place. However, the first time I came here I was seated to a loudspeaker that was a bit loud for my taste. Service is also good, and were accomodating enough for a good time. Overall, I'd want to come here again just to try the desserts. One caveat is to come here if you check in early morning for a good weekend brunch, around 9-9:30am, which I did during my second visit here, as their peak times are roughly around noon.

Not really sure what bread specifically but seemed a bit like French rolls. Crunch crusts with soft middles which helped to cradle the fillings and absorb the delicious meat juices. The pastrami was great and not overly salty. It had a great zing from the crunchy pickles and mustard. The Philly was nice and gooey. The beef had great texture and was dripping with flavor (literally). Both were very good but I personally liked the pastrami better. If you like meat though, neither will disappoint. We will be back to try the other sandwiches. The only down side to our visit was buying sodas at the store. Their prices weren't listed and in my head, I expected them to be $3 or so. The Mexican Coke and small bottle of lemonade were each $6. $20 for a sandwich isn't cheap, but it price didn't make me gag--but I almost physically gagged when i saw soda prices ring up. Next time, we'll get our sandwiches to go and get drinks elsewhere.

Unfortunately, after our appetizers arrived, the service disappeared. For 45 minutes, no one checked on our table. Our water sat empty for about 30 minutes, and after realizing no one was even looking our way, I finally got up to ask for a refill. It took three requests. We also waited about an hour for three pasta dishes and finished our entire bottle of wine before dinner arrived and more water to arrive. The most frustrating part was watching the lack of organization unfold. The owner, who appeared to be running expo, offered our appetizers to three other tables before they eventually made their way to us. When our entrées came out, those were offered to another table first, too. It genuinely felt like our table was invisible. My husband and I both worked in hospitality, so we understand that restaurants get busy and mistakes happen. We intentionally didn't want to make the server or staff uncomfortable. But when guests have to repeatedly ASK to be served and still receive almost no service, something in the system is broken. I've gotten better service at a fast food restaurant. I don't write this to discourage people from supporting a local business. I want small businesses in our community to thrive. But that also requires accountability. In this economy, dining out is a meaningful expense for many people, and a nearly $400 dinner should come with a fundamentally different level of service. At minimum, an experience this poor warranted proactive acknowledgment from the owner. We didn't receive that. There are too many great local restaurants working hard for people's business. I sincerely hope the owners take feedback like this seriously and work the feedback into ongoing staff training. We watched the table next to us get amazing service but where that other server fell short is when they didn't step up to support their fellow server (ours) when she was clearly spread thin. The goal of a restaurant should be to make good food and to create an experience where all guests feel taken care of even if tables fall outside of staff sections. I hope to hear Palma's service improve and they enjoy a lot of successful years as a result. We genuinely wanted this place to be one of our nearby treats. I would rather travel further and spend a little more for the service and food places like Mozza and MotherWolf. For local Italian, we're gonna just keep going back to Ma's. For local steak, Capital Grille's service is exceptional.

Good luck finding a spot close enough where you don't have to walk far. We usually end up parking in the residential area around the corner. Tacos Mananeros, came with 4 tacos ($18.95), with 4 complimentary sauces. 2 of the sauces were very spicy and Elsa didn't warn us. We also got the Veggie Omelette with tomatoes, onions, spinach, mushrooms, Jack cheese, topped with avocado and a side order of hash browns. They made the hash browns perfectly. Told her nice and crispy on the top and that's what we got. (18.95). We also shared their French Toast topped with Strawberry, Blueberries, and Blackberries. ($16.95) topped with lots of Whipped Cream (which I love) and a side of syrup. We needed to add more syrup to make the French Toast more moist. The French Toast was a bit dry for our liking. Even the people sitting next to us who ordered the same thing were saying the same. On the flip side, the other 2 dishes tasted fresh and delicious. Great portions for the prices. We also got this drink called Powerful from their smoothies section of the menu. It was called Green Smoothie. Ingredients were the following: blueberries, honey, Greek Vanilla yogurt, avocado and Almond milk. It was simply very refreshing and delicious. My friend wanted some sort of Latte, Espresso, Americano, etc..but they didn't have any of those drinks. All they had was regular & decaf coffee. At first, I asked for Cranberry juice, and Jose, said they only had Apple and Orange juice. We found it a bit odd not to have any of those drinks. Going back to our server Elsa, she was a bit aloof and forgetful. I asked for a bowl of fruit, and it never made it to our table. After we were done eating, I asked for two to-go boxes and a bag, she forgot that too. We had to ask the other employees to get them for us. The same with to-go containers for our sauces. She forgot to bring napkins too. Jose, (our busboy), needs a raise and promotion! This young man read all the ingredients on the Taco menu which came with: bacon & egg, chorizo with potato & eggs, machaka/eggs, & nopaitos/eggs. The writing in their menu was very small. Another server by the name of Angel, truly was an angel. Checked on us while Elsa was taking orders over the phone. They have another location in Monrovia, a gender neutral restroom, place was very clean. Inside was small. It had 10 tables and nice couches with cozy, inspirational decor and pillows. Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. I can't wait to come back and try their burgers.

I just want to say the reason I am posting this review on Yelp with a fake account is because I would like to remain anonymous since i frequently dine at the bar in Black Angus since i stay across the street at the hotel when I'm away on business. Last night i witnessed some behavior in the bar by a certain customer that seems to be familiar with all the employees and customers. I usually come in on Sunday nights for football and a steak dinner before i start my long week. I like to relax and drink a beer and enjoy the company of the girls behind the bar, and the other patrons around me. However, last night was the exception to the usual experience. IN NO WAY IS THIS REVIEW ABOUT THE EMPLOYEES OR THE ESTABLISHMENT ITSELF. A man in a raiders jersey sat himself at the bar last night, and made constant derogatory comments to the bartender and behind her back the entire night. His vulgar language made an uncomfortable dining experience. His attitude and his behavior to the bartender working made for a very awkward and almost hostile environment. However, the incident that needs attention brought to was the scene he caused as he was leaving. Although I was sitting a couple seats down I was able to catch the entire episode he created as was the rest of the bar. After demanding the check from a bartender who was not serving him, she politely and calmly told the man she would get his check as soon as the other bartender returned. For some reason the man felt the need to shout to the other bartend while she was taking to another customer and demand his check once more. When she said she would get it in just a moment he loudly proclaimed that if he didn't have a check he was walking out on his bill. The other bartender tried to defuse the situation and this only upset him more. She asked if he would like to speak to a manager and he LOUDLY shouted management "doesn't do shit he was going to corporate". Not sure why he felt the need to cause such a scene. Through out the night he spoke nonsense and degraded the establishment he was in. He told another guest who was complimenting a drink the bartender had made, "you're drink is good? huh that's a surprise considering who made it.". Much more was exchanged between the two but I don't feel the need to post this mans vulgar language. I would like to ask why management wasn't involved in this situation, why this man is invited to come back, and why no one has said anything before. If management sees this please feel free to contact me and i would be happy to privately message back. This behavior was not appropriate for a restaurant. Your employees deserve more respect. Very bad experience from an unprofessional waitress for not knowing the menu or how to articulate correctly with the employees that work in the kitchen as well as back talking to customers is considered ok to do at this black angus. After filing an email and over the phone complaint with the general manager over multiple issue with this waitress about getting in a small dispute over garlic butter sauce that goes on broccoli which states in the black angus menu which she assumed I was trying to scam black angus to get the $4 dollar garlic and herb sauce to put on my new york streak for Free. I kept telling her over and over that I have been coming here for years and was just there multiple times last month but just didn't believe me. She choose to challenge me by proving me wrong after the altercation to bring the manager over to prove me wrong and she is right and I'm wrong. I asked the manager is she trained or is this her first day on the job? After finding out that the waitress has been working for Black Angus for 2 years and not knowing the menu or how to articulate correctly with the employees that work in the kitchen is very unprofessional. The General Manager that I sent the email to as well as spoken to over the phone about my complaint was caught off guard because the waitress never got a complaint in over two years that its just very hard to believe she did something like this but anyway I will send you a compensation gift card for making up for the bad experience. I never received the gift card after weeks but the general manager got my home address WRONG. How can you be a General Manager that been employed with black angus for years and can't take down a very simple home address to send a gift card is just so unprofessional. I filed a complaint with Black Angus Corp which a District Manager called me back. I got the same runaround claiming the waitress just needs more training. The waitress has worked at black angus for 2 years and still needs more training? My bill total was $65 dollars plus tip and they mailed me a gift card for $25 dollars to compensate for this bad experience. $65 dollars plus tip - $25 dollars = $40 dollars that I lost This just confirms that the District Manager, Black Angus Guest Relations, General Managers, etc could care less about making it up to you I will never support a business or company that has a bunch of "Empty Suits" as management conducting decisions based on past experiences and not knowing what to do. I have always considered this establishment a ''go to'' for Prime Rib, but today, I must say I doubt I shall ever return. It bothers me when people in the industry complaint that the economy is to blame for not making money.. Today was a ''Prime'' example... I should have known it was not going to be a good place to enjoy when my girlfriend ordered hot chocolate and the server said that they did not carry it.. I looked at him and said, do u have milk? Do you have chocolate syrup? Well how about it if you whip those two together??!! And sure enough, he did only to have cold chocolate instead of hot chocolate. She than had to kindly ask if he could warm up the drink for her!! Really?!! The lobster had no taste, even after I drenched it with lemon juice and table salt. The dipping butter seemed as if I was oiling up my lobster for a nice shine rather than having any purpose for taste. The filet my girlfriend ordered looked like a dried out hockey puck that had been steamed with the lobster instead of grilled. I mean- is a steak house now ordering their steaks with per-grill marks on them? Come on.. I was forced to eat my plate only due to the fact that I was starving and didn't wish to go through the hassle of getting up and searching for another place. I can honestly say that it's the first time I was walking out of a food place and felt robbed.. I could have done so many other things with that $80 lunch for two! I'm not sure where the managers are at while customers are eating at this Black Angus located in burbank because most of the customers that are sitting in the booths are talking so loud as well as allowing their kids to be screaming at the tables and running around. Major issues with this Black Angus Located in burbank with the customers talking level and allowing their kids to be screaming and running around is totally low class paying very high prices. The TIP alone they want 15% which is $10 dollars minimum with only two people getting only two meals. When you're paying $55 dollars and up, plus the TIP which is 10% to be hearing multiple tables surrounding you hearing the adjacent booths packed with customers talking level that is very loud plus letting their kids just screaming and running around is so low class. This Black Angus is like living in a low class part of town but paying very high prices which you will leave very annoyed and not relaxed at all. Corporate needs to look into their managers and employees to start controlling their customers talking level and the customers kids that are screaming and running around. There are other customers that don't like hearing this while eating and getting annoyed as well as paying a lot of money for an eating in an environment like this. read more

The food is consistently tasty, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere makes you want to come back again and again. You help turn a good meal into a great experience. I highly recommend the breakfast here. The portions are plentiful, the food is flavorful, and the quality is consistently on point. Poorly ran business I have order take out orders from this black angus a few times and every time they forgot things and mess up the orders. I ordered a steak dinner with mushrooms and onions and they charged me $6 dollars just for the mushroom and onions for the toppers. This manager that was very short that stop growing after he was 4 yrs old told me that is what I ordered and showed me the menu of the prices. I told him I didn't order mushrooms and onions "separately", I order them in the combination which should only be $3 dollars not $6 dollars. This manager said I will NOT adjust your bill. I asked for a side of steak sauce and when I opened up the container it was only a 1/8inch of steak sauce in the container. I guess they are running very low on steak sauce to not even give 1/2 inch of steak sauce in the contain not even half full to a customer that is spending $22 dollars on a meal. When I order my steak dinner I had to wait 30mins in the lobby area which is way to long for a steak dinner. This is how they treat their customers just like trash read more

I will start with saying that the food was good. My steak was cooked really well and sides were nice. However, the rest of the experience was not great. After being seated at our table, it took 20 minutes before we were ever even greeted by our server, and that's only because I had to stop and ask a busboy if they could find out who our waiter is. When he (Chris I think was his name) finally came over to ask us what we wanted to drink, I realized he was the waiter that had walked by our table multiple times, so surely he had noticed we were there waiting, right? For the rest of the evening he was pretty slow and inefficient. There were only 3 of us eating but it took us 2 hours to finish with our meal because of how slow he was moving. The other tables in our area didn't seem to be having this issue so not sure what was going on. Anyways, long story short, I, nor do the other two people that were with me, do not plan on ever coming back here. The food was fine but it's not worth the hassle. read more

Excellent prime rib dinner. We got the "2 for" which comes with a variety of entrees from which to choose. Each of you can have a different entree or the same. The meal includes an appetizer to share...the fried zucchini is delicious! It also includes 2 sides for each person. The au gratin potatoes are amazing. It also comes with a dessert to share. We ordered the hot fudge cake...a 3 or 4 layer chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream on top served with hot fudge to drizzle over it. It was also very good but by then we were getting pretty full. We ate there while visiting my daughter who lives there, we are from Ohio. I'm a regular at this Black Angus, I come pretty often with my boyfriend and family, but ive noticed something a bit off about the manager I believe. His name is Ronnie and he's a pretty short buff man who i've noticed has started taking a liking to wearing meta glasses to his place of work. Now if these are on a recording during hours of work, i am concerned for the young helpful hostess's and servers, especially the young women. It's an unnecessary and quite uncomfortable invasion of privacy at this place of work. Black Angus is lovely but beware of this man. SO FIRST OFF WANT TO SAY BEST FOOD I HAVE HAD IN A WHILE. First time I have ever been here and the food was absolutely some of the best. I got the 12 oz. Ribeye it was cooked just how I wanted and made me tear up a little. However the best part was the service. I am used to a place like Island with good service you know. This place is an absolute joke. There's a reason the place is empty. The host/server who helped me was very kind, but the manager is a different story. The restaurant industry is all about customer satisfaction and retention, but apparently, some people don't know that. When my gift card wasn't working, he just shrugged his shoulders and told me to call a 1800 number. That was it. You could tell the waiters were unhappy to be working under this guy. If I could give more stars I would. My parents and I come here at least twice a month. The Manager, Joey, is the ONLY reason why we decided to come back. He is truly amazing & a true asset to Black Angus. He makes us feel at home and the customer service he provides is over and beyond. Joey is great at what he does! Bate and switch #3? I checked the website and I saw a special I really wanted. I called the location and I asked the person who worked there if they had this special when he said yes I left the LAX. After travailing for over one hour and 45 min. I finally arrived at the location come to find out that the location really didn't have the special I wanted. The prime rib, once a highlight, turned out chewy and raw - a far cry from the quality I had come to expect. I had such a wonderful experience at Black Angus in Burbank! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I got the chicken avocado sandwich and it was so fresh and flavorful perfectly cooked chicken with creamy avocado and great seasoning. We also ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, and it was cooked perfectly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery, and the perfect side. My family and I have been going here for a long time and the last time I went, I found something horrid in my salad. I was eating my Cesar salad, which I usually love but this time after I was almost done eating the entire salad, I found about 12 baby COACH-ROACHES crawling around on the salad. I threw up and told the manger, all I got from the manager was a "sorry" and "we will look into it." I dint get my money back nor did I get any coupon.
