Came here for thanksgiving dinner, the limited menu was full of great selections and we were seated for our reservation right on time. Our server was a wonderful lady named CJ, she was funny and very kind, definitely went above and beyond for us and answered all of the menu questions we had quickly. The place was crowded but not loud, very accommodating, and comfortable. My steak was a bit tough but still made as ordered, the lobster was fantastic, and the mai tai I had was great once I mixed the dark rum topping in. Let me start by saying that I have been coming to this location since 1992. I hadn't noticed until last night just how rundown some elements looked inside the restaurant. Although I appreciate the nostalgia, the couches in the waiting area are completely worn and torn, where you can see the stuffing coming out (especially the one next to the hostess desk).This should be an extremely easy and cost effective fix. We sat in a booth in the bar area. What I noticed right away was the temperature. I always plan to bring an extra sweater for my lap...but last night it was so uncomfortably hot inside the restaurant. Not sure what changed. It took our server quite a bit of time to greet us and take our orders. I will say though that once our server, Francisco started to serve us, he was attentive. My son and I ordered the Campfire Feast with the Wagon Wheel appetizer plate. The items on that plate were not fresh. The items that were supposed to be hot were barely warm. The shrimp in the cocktail shrimp were warm, had a strange texture and the cocktail sauce was extremely watery. The entrees came out fine although the au gratin potatoes were not hot. We ordered the Cowboy Cookie as our desert and that also did not come out hot. In the past all of these items were served hot. Last night, they were barely warm that made me believe that these items are no longer cooked to order. Our total for dinner came to $132.00, and that is without additional appetizers, sides, or alcoholic beverages. That seems like quite a bit for food that was not cooked to order. It was a quiet evening! Frankie was our server. The food was tasty. My hubby and 2 grandaughters came to get some dinner. We shared a meal for 2 and a kids meal. It was perfect for our group (none of us was starving). At the end our meal, our younger granddaughter was talking about her birthday plans for the next day and a few minutes later Frankie appeared with a birthday cookie. What a great touch. Green beans were fine as well The Caesar salad was ok BUT the white part of the lettuce had dark brown spots so kinda a turn off. Upon walking in the building it had a particular smell.. but where I sat there was no scent of it... so I guess it was cool. 3 stars cause steak was on point and I can't be mad at that shoulda been 4 but the salad was a fail for me.
