I understand they were busy, so the wait wouldn't really be something I would put on the server. But he quite literally actively avoided our table the entire visit. I went here to have an anniversary dinner with my wife and I observed him give personable service to everyone else but us. Our potato skins came out without chives first - no problem, let it go. Then we were well into finishing our appetizer and he still hadn't shown up. When he finally did, he just approached with a "are we getting food over here?" He didn't even introduce himself to us. My wine glass remained empty and he didn't offer a refill or say a word whenever he did stop by our table. My wife had to flag him down even though I put the empty glass and carafe on the edge of the table. It was an odd experience overall. The food runners were friendlier than our server. No goodbye or thank you from the host either. Sad part is I came in ready to spend some money and very quickly the momentum died from just complete inattentiveness. Do not buy a hamburger here. The patty was obviously cooked while frozen. Actually hard to bite into, tasteless and only the onion rings on the burger were edible. Likewise the 22 ounce steak was miserable. The meat was raw and togh, sent it back. Didn't bother sending the burger back.....just let it sit on the table and they took it off at the end, never asked if we liked it or not. Ordered two fried z. plate. One was great the other was burned to a crisp. One person had the sirloin, was really good. The prime rib got good reviews. So two people could eat their dinner, the other two were served crap. Hadn't been to Black Angus since the days of the 2 for $40 dinner coupon. For whatever reason we decided to stop in and see if it's still what we remember. It was definitely better than we remember. Hubs got the prime rib: super juicy and tender. I got the ribs: tasty sauce (sweet, not spicy), ribs were a bit tough, but yummy overall. Kiddo got the chicken strips which were standard fare. He actually liked the ribs better. When you come, get the au gratin potatoes as your side, you will not be disappointed. Food was good and served hot. I made reservation via Open Table due to Father's Day. They were prompt in seating us, great service by our waitress. This place is amazing! It's been a while since I've come here and I'll be back. My server Jack was a pro in all ways and I've done my own time as a server so I'm very critical of servers.
