Lovely ambiance in this Arcadia shopping strip. They did away with the traditional storefront and installed a beautiful accordion door that really opens the space up. This creates a lovely atmosphere for the patrons and as well the workers! Workers are super friendly and always have a smile on their face. Great coffee and pastries. This is a great neighborhood coffee house if you live in the Arcadia area, or work near by. I recommend the French Press with the Vanilla Cinnamon Twist bean! Will come here often! read more

I went to Black Cat because there was no place to sit at work at Sip Coffee down the street. I know it is the summer time in Phoenix but it was really hot inside. Made it difficult to enjoy a hot coffee. It was also $5 for a latte, which seemed a bit excessive. Overall, would go back again, but I will not be making it a regular place. read more

I'm a loyal Starbucks fan but I also enjoy neighborhood coffee houses. I was excited to try this one out, but not so pleased with the latte I ordered. The enviornment and decor was really cool and hip, and there's some fab (but ridiculously priced) paintings hanging on the walls. The barista who took my order had awesome tattoos. Free wi-fi is also a plus....however....the vanilla latte I ordered for $4.50 was horrible. It tasted bitter and not smooth like Starbucks lattes. The pastries in the case did not look fresh. The wait for the latte was a bit long. The prices are about the same as Starbucks but I will be taking my business back to Starbucks because I know the drinks are always consistent, and always taste good! read more

My dog hates it when I'm on my laptop, so I love coming here with him when I need to work. He gets to people-watch and there's a bowl of water outside for him. This place has the best toddy! I had gone to Starbucks earlier today and got the toddy with coconut milk and it was still bitter. I knew Black cat had smooth toddy and I was craving it for the rest of the day. I got a medium black toddy and it definitely didn't disappoint! So smooth you don't even need cream. read more

This place is my go-to for blended iced coffee drinks! Unlike other coffee shops that leave unappealing chunks of ice, Black Cat blends it smooth like a milkshake. Black Cat was a great rest stop during a long bike ride. The wife and I made the trip over to OHSO from Peoria and ended up coming to Black Cat after seeing the long lines. The shop made a good cappuccino and great sandwiches. The staff let us refill our water packs (sorry we cleaned out your water twice!) and we were on our way home. I can easily see this being a rest stop for my 50-80 mile rides when I'd rather have light bites instead of a heavy meal. read more

You know that movie where the guy hangs with the cute girl next door, who he likes and she treats him well, but still can't fight the allure of the sexier, fancier, stylish girl from the expensive neighborhood who treats him - not as well, only to finally realize he should have stayed with the girl next door from the beginning? That's how I feel about this place - the time and money I spent at other places was wasted and I should have just stayed close to home, where I was happy. I'm no coffee/tea aficionado, but I like it here, the staff is great, it's comfortable and the food is pretty good. My only "complaint" is that the WI-FI can be spotty sometimes, but after a router reset it's great. Save your time and money, come to this cool neighborhood coffee spot. read more

Really love that I have a coffee shop I can walk to so close to my apt. Very nice small quiet place. I enjoy the art and there are usually people here studying or working. I like that they have a reward punch card so you can earn free drinks! I love their iced teas... Not too crazy about the coffees, they are ok. I was meeting a friend later on for dinner in the area, and wanted to find a coffee shop nearby where I could get some work done. Upon entering the Black Cat, I immediately felt a peaceful vibe. I ordered a medium iced vanilla latte, and it was incredibly creamy and amazing. The medium was a large anywhere else, so you definitely get a lot for your money! The natural lighting and fresh air from the open doors was great. I live in Chandler but spend an unreasonable amount of time in coffee shops, so you can bet I will be back here often! read more

I absolutely love the Black Cat Coffee House! My dad and I discovered this gem through Instagram about two years ago. On Christmas morning we wanted a coffee and found out that BC was open! Ever since then I have ditched starbucks and dutch bros completely, they just don't compare! I love that BC has punch cards so I can earn free coffees, and I also like being able to call in an order if I'm in a hurry. The owners (Don and Tima) are incredible and very friendly. Every time I come in Don greets me and plenty of other customers by name. They truly care about their customers here and treat them like friends. By far the best breakfast I've had at a coffee house. two scrambled eggs cooked perfectly on an asiago bagel - assembled just right so I could eat it without a mess. Came with a small simple parfait.
