We had a group dinner this evening for a large party of 14. Let me start off by saying that the entire staff was incredibly courteous and very accommodating. We had a wide array of appetizers and the one that took me by surprise was the guacamole with steak. The ahi tuna was also delicious. Horrible customer service. Made a reservation over a month ago for mothers day and they don't bother to call. They sent an email a day ago cancelling, why not let customers know, knowing it's a busy day so they could make other plans. The girl I spoke to was rude and sounded incompetent. This was my first time here. I met my kids who drove up from OC and came on a Sat at about 11:30 am . The place was packed and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. For drinks, we had lemon waters and my daughter ordered an iced banana latte. I'll start by saying this was one of the reasons it didn't get 5 stars. We are usually not picky, but the banana latte was not good at all, we concluded, after three of us tried it. The waters are served in 8 oz glasses so if the server doesn't come back often for refills or to see how you're doing it is gone soon waiting to be refreshed. We ordered a melt, a steak skillet, and the mascarpone French toast . The skillet was delicious but it was definitely potato heavy with one egg and a small cut of steak on top. Steak was delicious. How could this have been better? To balance the potato-heavy skillet would have required one more egg at minimum. The mascarpone French toast was delicious and also came with a tiny container of sweetened condensed milk to pour on the toast or over the plate. My daughter was happy with her sandwich which came with a small order of fries. Portion sizes were average. The approximate cost of the bill with tip was $70-ish dollars. Ambiance- rustic, low lighting, crowded, and noise level was a 4.5 out of 5. read more

I ordered chilaquiles with jalapeño sauce, eggs over easy and pork belly. The flavor was great, the eggs were done well, but the pork belly terrible. The meat was tough like shoe leather. I tried to enjoy the rest of the dish, but I'm a meat eater. The service was very good and the atmosphere was good. It was very family friendly. Please don't drop old dried out pork belly into sauce and try to repurpose it. It ruined my brunch meal. I'm not sure if I will return at this point. read more

The interior is pretty dark so its good for late night dinner dates, especially if your looking for something more upscale but still affordable. I've only come for brunch, so this review is for that. A little on the pricier side, but it matches the ambiance of the restaurant being just a bit nicer inside. Cute purse racks at some of the tables, and the food was all good. Had to take some to go! Probably great portions to share things if your party/partners like to do that. I think I came with high-expectations thinking this was a steak house quality place but was more like Yard House type food. The service was great but the food was mediocre. The filet was okay, not the best seasoning for $60 but was cooked as expected medium. The scallops had good seasoning. The shrimp pasta was okay, nothing to brag about. They had my attention at Blackstone Kitchen. I dined here for brunch on a Saturday at 11:15 AM for my birthday, and I must say--I'll definitely be back for dinner. From the moment you walk in, you're met with a full view of the space, almost like waiting in line with excitement for one of the hottest clubs. The best part? There wasn't a long wait (if you're smart enough to make reservations). The ambience was impressive, dim lighting, romance, elegance, and sophisticated flair. It was giving date night vibes, even though I was there with my cousin. This is not your typical brunch with loud music and dancing. It's intimate, personal, and beautiful, a place where you want to have real conversations, listen intently, and enjoy good food. Quick note: the bathrooms are small (just two stalls), but they're not industrial. These are top-of-the-line toilets that honestly made me feel at home I loved that detail! Now, why didn't I give them five stars? A few things could have elevated the experience. But let's start with the highlights: The menu has a delicious selection of appetizers, brunch items, and cocktails. Of course, drinks were first we ordered the mimosa flights. You get three glasses of champagne-heavy mimosas with gorgeous garnishes. If you love mimosas, this is the way to go. For appetizers, my cousin and I ordered the spinach and artichoke rolls. My mouth was watering... but unfortunately, our entrées came out before the appetizer, so I never got to try them. For the main course, we had the classic steak and eggs. It comes with steak, eggs made your way, potatoes, and bread. For carb lovers, this is your plate. The potatoes were crispy and delicious, and the bread was perfect for soaking up my over-easy eggs with the Alohi sauce. My only gripe...the steak was a little tough, and I didn't want to "fight" with it. I wanted it to cut like butter. Our servers, Jesus and Javier, were an absolute delight. The customer service here is top-tier, from management walking around to check on tables, to servers covering for one another and staying in communication. Service was excellent. The appetizer mishap felt more like a kitchen issue than a server issue. To their credit, the food came out very quickly. Here's a tip: if you get Javier, ask him about drinks off the menu. He put me on to one called Lorenza, sweet like candy, strong like tequila, topped with tamarind, and beautifully presented. Elegant, classy, and delicious. The vibes here are unmatched, and I'm excited to come back for dinner. If brunch is this good, dinner can only get better. Location note: Blackstone is in the Dos Lagos Plaza in Corona, and there's so much to do in the area. After brunch, we caught the trolley, toured the plaza, played VR games, and ended with Pinkberry. It made for a full day out. Now, the reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5: * The hostess acknowledged my birthday, but there was no complimentary dessert, no birthday recognition from the servers, and no communication about whether they do anything special. * The steak was tougher than I'd like (or maybe the knife wasn't sharp enough). * We never got to try our appetizer. Even with those setbacks, I would still recommend Blackstone Kitchen. I believe every restaurant deserves a chance to redeem themselves everyone has an off day. We arrived Wednesday morning celebrating a retirement girls get-a-way trip. Our assigned hostess was the AMAZING Michel. We are picky ladies when it comes to food and we often request extra when we eat out. A little bit of this, or none of that, or plain old can you make this happen for us? Michel went above and beyond our request for our brunch. Her effortless attention to our needs stood out. Each time she passed us with another person's order she asked if we were ok and if she could do anything else for us. Her smile was contagious and clearly she loves her job and loves her customers. I was really shocked at this place. I expected super bougie Mexican food, or a "fusion" but it wasn't over the top just nice. We went for brunch and this place stayed busy the entire time we were there. It wasn't too noisy, or too dark which I enjoyed. I had a vanilla and chocolate concha (vanilla was better), savory empanadas, the skillet, the eggs Benedict flight, a passion fruit margarita, kiwi margarita, berry margarita and a carrajillo.
