Our visit to Blatt Beer & Table was extremely disappointing. We were excited for a Sunday evening out only to leave very disgruntled. When we first arrived and sat ourselves, per the sign, it took 10 minutes for a wait staff member to acknowledge us and an additional 5 minutes to get menus. We ordered beers before our appetizer or main courses but they were not delivered until well after the meal ended with no apology. The fish of the fish and chips had a cleaning chemical after taste which made it extremely inedible. After the meal ended our plates were never removed and we waited almost 20 minutes for plates to be cleared and check offered. We will not be returning. read more

Last year was the hardest time for our family and the blatt took care of us in more ways then they know. Whether we are needing to escape from the world or I'm just looking for my favorite beer cheese soup, the blatt is always there. I typically only drink miller lite but the staff always helps me venture out of my comfort zone (I love surly hell now). I have never had a bad experience there and I hope I will never have one. The beers and atmosphere at Blatt are excellent, but my one dinner visit was marred a bit by pushy service and slightly high-priced/small-portioned appetizers. As one of my dining companions pointed out, with the price of the pretzel bites and the small size of the portion, it's almost $1 per bite...aren't pretzels supposed to be cheap? The fries also came out in a tiny little basket, both of which made me wonder why such inexpensive, common food was being served so stingily. Maybe it's the area. I did enjoy the entree I ordered, however, as well as the beer selection, so while I wasn't impressed with Blatt on my first dinner visit, I would go back and hope my one experience was the exception rather than the rule. read more

Came in on a Friday afternoon for dinner and drinks with friends. Service was good but their apparel needs some work. I wasn't even sure my waiter was a real employee based on his clothing choices. I get they're going for the hipster vibe but you can still pull that off without looking like you rolled out of bed and walked in. Beer selection is really good, lots of local brews. Got the pretzel bites and while portion size was small, very good cheese and mustard. I then went with the chicken and waffles and also was pleased. Really impressed with the amount of chicken you get. My dining companions got the chicken sandwich and a burger. Both said they were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Hope to return when its nice out to partake in the rooftop seating, and catch a baseball game or two. read more

Basically the stars are for the beer choices. The female bartender with gauges in her ears and a Mohawk is rude and incompetent. After pouring beers with half foam she rudely exclaimed she attended beer college and that's how you pour a beer. Good pub food and beer. The beer prices seem to have gone up over the years though. The chicken sandwiches were all really good, including the Dirty Bird, Fried chicken, and grilled curry chicken sandwiches. Kind of disappointed that they were only serving off of their "Event" menu though, because I was really looking forward to getting some of their other sausages or sandwiches. One of the best burgers I have had beer selection was pretty good many to chose from a taste for anyone it was just before a hockey game so it was a limited menu but that didn't bother me any will have to go back and have a look at the full menu although the blatt burger was amazing my wife had the blatt brought I tried a bite of it was very good also the couple we were there with liked there food very much also good time had by all I think will for sure be returning again. read more

Slow. Still waiting on food. 45 minutes in. There's about 2 servers working right now. When we walked in we ended up seating ourselves. Update: We got our food 15 minutes later, so basically an hour. They don't have a set server for each table, so nobody was really checking in on us while we were waiting. They offered us a dessert for the long wait time. Then we asked for split checks, but instead got one. When someone came back, they messed up again, put the drinks with the wrong food. Was there on Eclipse Eve. Maybe that's why the service was so bad. The place was packed but we were lucky enough to snag a table as the previous diners left. We sat there at the dirty table for 20 minutes and were totally ignored. I finally ordered drinks at the bar while we waited for the waitstaff to clear dirty dishes. I finally asked a random waitperson to have the assigned waitperson come to our table. We ordered our meal, which was actually very good, then waited longer for the waitperson to reappear so we could order another beer and get the check. We saw our bar order sitting on the bar for 15 minutes before the waitperson noticed it. The diners at the table next to us said they had to wait half an hour to get a beer! Kudos for a wide craft beer selection and to the kitchen staff for excellent food, well-prepared. Thumbs-down to inattentive waitstaff and to management for failing to train and manage them properly. If you are looking for slow service, (our waitress was more interested in playing with her pony tail) a long wait for your food after ordering (others that ordered after use were served prior to us) a slightly warm burger and over priced for the quality, this is your place. We were in town for the holiday weekend and decided to check this place out before a show with some friends. Having salivated over the menu before our visit, I was eager to try the food. My husband enjoys Delirium Tremens and they offer it on tap. We were both excited, as this was to be our Valentine's dinner out too. Blatt has a laid back, industrial metal, distressed wood, root cellar kind of vibe. Very cool atmosphere. After waiting at the table for service, my husband went to the bar for drinks. He would have liked to drink more but we had to track down a bartender or server every time we wanted a drink. After being ignored for several minutes he was served and we were finally given menus. We immediately ordered an appetizer, as we had a show to catch. Unfortunately, this was the only thing I was able to try. It took over 45 minutes to get our food. People who came in after us were being served first. I ordered the Blatt Mac and clearly it had been sitting in the window for quite some time. It was cold, dried out and the fried chicken skin was mushy. They offered to make me something else and did take it off the bill. The other orders at the table were incorrect too, but at this point (its now 8:00), we're late to the show and everyone was hungry and irritated. Thankfully, thier food was at least warm and they were willing to share with me. The burger was average average, despite being undercooked. The falafel sliders were ok but if you love falafel you'll be disappointed. The falafel balls are the size of a quarter and almost void of herbs. This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. There was no service, outside of taking our order. My husband and I both worked food service for many years so I always give the benefit of the doubt, but this was so dissapointing. read more

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner on the rooftop of Blatt and had a blast! The food was delicious, fun music was played for us, and cornhole was set up as well. We had our sons wedding reception on the top floor of the Blatt last Saturday and couldn't have asked for a better venue. The food was excellent, and the staff was top notch. Very accommodating and were at our beck and call all evening with a smile on their faces. I talked a lot with Brett and Tyler prior to the event and they were very easy to work with. The venue was beautiful with all the doors open, with plenty of space. They went above and beyond the call of duty. I would not hesitate to have another event here or recommend to anyone. read more

We went driving around downtown, looking for a new place to try and stumbled across The Blatt. It was a Saturday afternoon, and since it is close to the ballpark, I was expecting sports bar food, and it kind of is, but with a gourmet German-style twist. The beer list is great. I am not a beer drinker, but my boyfriend is. We were both pleased at the selection. He found a nice heavy beer and I enjoyed my pear cider. The pretzel bites were heavenly; warm and soft with an addicting mustard sauce and a cheese sauce. Our entrees were outstanding. I had a chopped Cobb salad. The chunks of bacon, blue cheese and butter leaf lettuce went perfectly with the fresh buttermilk dill dressing. My boyfriend loved his brats-on-a-stick. Four different sausages and grilled cabbage kraut (yummy). AND, even though I despise ketchup, I have to say I would eat The Blatt's. It is smokey and savory. We probably ended up spending way more than we expected for a Saturday lunch, but everything was so good, I can hardly complain about that. Our service was excellent as well, as our waitress was able to answer our questions about the beer list with ease and our food arrived quickly. It wasn't until later that Iearned The Blatt is part of the Flagship Restaurant group. No surprise there! Their restaurants are some of the best in Omaha. Keep up the good work, guys! read more

We came here with a friend to catch up over drinks and dinner. As we ordered drinks, our server asked us if we wanted to start with some pretzel bites. They sounded good, so we said yes! Well, we never got those pretzel bites. She came back because she somehow lost the piece of paper with our drink orders from the walk from our table to the bar area. The food menu we had was nothing like what is online. It was very small and limited, which was a disappointment. We all ended up ordering the burger. Mine was too well done. It was blackened and crispy with no flavor besides the fact that it was burned. We were done eating and hadn't seen our waitress in a long time so we sat for a good 15-20 minutes waiting for her to come back. We waited so long that another waitress asked us if ours had been by lately and we had to tell her no, and that we were ready to pay and leave. Eventually, my boyfriend went up towards the bar to try to pay our bill because she still hadn't come back to our table. We love this place and are frequent flyers. It's a great place to watch the game. It's loud so no intimate conversation here. The kale Caesar with the Indian spiced chicken, the Blattwurst is amazing and the burgers rock. The brownie is one of the best desserts in town. Great beer and cocktails.
