I stopped in this location while traveling, they offer gluten-free crust so I thought I'd give it a try. The atmosphere is a lot like chipotle where you walk up order your food and then sit down at a table. The pizza was pretty good. They offer different styles of pizza like margarita, meat lovers etc. You can also custom make your own pizza and then they wood fire it. It is a little bit expensive for pizza. My pizza and drink came out to $13, but you're talking a 12 inch pizza LOL. Not ridiculous but also not cheap. If you're looking for a personal pizza I would suggest giving it a try. read more

Visiting the area on business. 4 star review not because it's some gourmet pizza but, well, let me explain. For starters think of subway, chipotle etc...but with pizza! Pretty great concept. Now, I have a bit of an issue which has recently sent me on the gluten free path. I saw it said gluten free options here on Yelp and thought I'd give it a go. I asked the first line worker to explain their gluten free options. Wow! So knowledgeable. Told a me all about the gluten free dough and that that they would change their gloves so as not to cross contaminate. They bake the pizza, in the oven, on a mat and cut it with a different pizza cutter...again...so as not to cross contaminate. The other line workers were aware of my gluten free request. Suggested against the white sauce and the meatballs as they were products with gluten. For the taste...the pizza itself ended up being surprisingly tasty. The crust was a bit thinner, as was explained to me, but I enjoyed the added crispness around the edges. I had mozz, black olives, mushrooms, spicy red sauce, pepperoni and spinach. This was a very encouraging experience and one that has made my new adventure into a gluten free lifestyle exciting. Wish they had one in my home town. Thank you! read more

I went into blaze pizza in river city and was highly disappointed while the choices are good, the preparer put as little as possible on the pizza. I had to ask could she at least add a little more cheese. She did so reluctantly. The service was fast. When I got the pizza home and tried it the pizza was not very good. I got a coupon in my mail for a free pizza and decided to give it a try. Really loved the crust not oily like most chains and the options are endless based on your own taste. The staff is friendly and of course as any open kitchen restaurant is was very clean(a restaurant inspector told me open kitchen are always cleaner than most because the public can see it) I was able to make half and half pizza because i know my son doesn't like everything I like and sent it through. I describe this place to friends as a "Chipotle for pizzas." You pick a crust and then move through the line, choosing from their sauces and many toppings. My two faves were the fresh mozzarella and pesto sprinkled all over the top. Gluten-free crusts are available and good. There isn't a huge up-charge, like many similar places. I think the GF crusts are more finicky. Mine came out of the oven completely black and burnt. The staff tried to cut the edges off when I "wasn't looking" and didn't say anything, but when I brought up my concern the manager corrected the problem (remake or free pizza voucher). The new pizza turned out great, not burnt. The prices and pizzas were great, so despite the frustration with the mess-up, I still give 4 stars! read more

My husband, myself, and my 4 year old picky eater LOVVVVvEEe this place!!! Everytime we come in the staff is always extremely pleasant. They have vegan cheese so my husband gets to have a pizza which is normally not possible as he is lactose-intolerant. Their oven cooks the pizza super fast. I have heard about this place and it was also recommended by a pizza authority. This women knows the real deal Italian dishes and pizza to boot. Her uncle does pizza right. Blaze to me does not. I know that they are a build your own and they have a bunch of fresh toppings. But, they keep more of them then they put on your pie. I even asked if they would go back and put some more cheese on mine. Both little spreads of cheese is what she dropped on my pie. The sauce was pretty good and had a slight hint of spice for being labeled spicy. I had them install some pepperoni (6pcs) some bacon (too small to see) and some jalapeños. They baked it right off and it took a few minutes. The wife went with a white sauce with some veggies. Her's looked pretty good but she lost me with the black olive slices. In all they are a little sparse with their toppings but what do you expect for 22 bucks for 2 medium sized pies. The build out is nice and they need to get the A/C repaired already. It was a real blaze inside this place tonight. I do like the interior but I really don't get why they have a huge graphic of a guy on a scooter in a pool. I understand the whole don't play by the rules thing. I will however drive past this place the next time I want a pizza. read more

Our 1st time visiting this new joint in our neck of the woods was definitely not impressive. We each got our own pizza and they have an impressive array fresh of toppings to make your pizza all your own. The staff is not however very liberal with them. My honey asked for extra cheese on top of his newly created masterpiece and the girl may have waived the cheese filled hand over the pizza, but she didn't drop bit 2 or 3 shavings. My pizza was a white pizza with spinach, artichokes, goat cheese, roasted garlic, bacon and grilled chicken. If you look closely at the picture you can see that the edges are burned as was the majority of the bottom of the very thin crusted pizza. With the amount of staff working in the very hot restaurant tonight and 2 guys on the pizza oven I wasn't expecting burnt crust. It was hotter than blaze, since the AC we were told was broken, but we were advised that the outside seating they have was cooler with the evening breeze. I'm not sure I will try another pizza here. read more
