Out here on vacation with the family and since no one can agree on any food choices, I chose Blaze because everyone can get their own pizza. The place was clean and the employees were extremely nice, with the taller kid being extremely helpful. The 5 pizzas we ordered came out perfect, including the one gluten free crust we got. Eh, wanted to like it. I eat pizza maybe 3-4 times a year. I love Your Pie in Indio and thought I'd try this since it's close to work. Super busy, not one of the 8 visible employees smiled, literally the whole time I was there. Pizza was disappointingly flavorless. Tables not wiped off, windows and doors filthy. Wouldn't bother to go back. Don't think they'll mind as they were plenty busy at 3:0O pm on a Sunday.....Forgot to mention when I asked for a small box for my two remaining pieces, I was literally huffed at and told she'd have to go build more. I was at Blaze last night. The woman behind me ordered 2 pizzas for $20. When she got to the end to pay, she pulled out her gift card. The employee told her that their gift card machine was down and the woman needed to pay a different way. But the woman didn't have any cash or credit card since she planned to use her gift card. She asked if she could have her pizza anyway and the employee said no. They went back and forth while the rest of us listened. It was ridiculous that Blaze didn't just give the woman her food. What were they going to do with it anyway? Eat it? I ended up paying for the woman as it was just awful how Blaze treated the situation. For $20 they just couldn't see how that was the right thing to do. Blaze lost 2 customers last night. read more

Went in today around 7pm , staff seemed kinda irritated. Specifically an orange haired kid by the name of "Nathan" I believe is what the name tag said . It was hanging on the side of his shoulder so I couldn't really read it. He seemed to have an issue with another coworker who's name tag said "Angelo". Nathan walked up to Angelo while Angelo was with a customer and told him he was "messing up to much" then proceeded to stand around and gossip about Angelo with other coworkers while Angelo was wiping down tables . The pizza was amazing , the staff seemed overwhelmed or maybe like they needed a leader to help keep them organized. read more

I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was absolutely delicious. They did make it the way I had asked. The crust has a good amount of crunch as you bite into it and the underside is burnt just right. It's just a tab bit soft, so it's really easy to eat. The amount of dough they use to get it thin when it's cooked is good enough to get me full as I get to the last piece. The only reason it got a 4 Star review compared to a 5 Star review is due to minimum selections for toppings. Most places have popcorn chicken, sausages, and other additional options. It might be good to beta test additional toppings for it's customers if it hasn't done so yet. That's my only suggestion. Other then that, everything was really tasty. read more

This is my update to a previous bad review. I would like to say thank you to Blaze Pizza for changing my mind about their establishments. I have since revisited this location with my family and can say that the pizza here is fantastic, and my experience was quite pleasant. I will definitely be returning here in the future. I do wish that I could still place a phone order but I guess times are changing and I'm getting older, this is the way things are now. I was browsing through Yelp today searching for a new pizza place to try. Blaze looked really good from all of the pictures and reviews, so I decided to call in and place a pick up order. The girl who answered the phone said, "You can go online and place your order, we do not take phone orders." I asked her if I heard her correctly and said, "You do not take phone in orders?? That seems a little unusual, you mean you will not take my order from me over the phone right now?" She said, "No." I told her that she just lost a new customer and hung up the phone. I can not believe and don't understand this standard of customer service. What kind of world are we living in where a pizza business does not teach their employees basic customer service skills like how to take a phone order for pick up. I wouldn't be surprised if I tried to pay with cash and was turned down because their employees are unable to count back the change. GET IT TOGETHER Blaze! read more

Arrived to pick up my online order, indicated my name and they told me it was in the oven. I waited for 15 minutes. The store was not busy after 15 minutes I asked for the status of my order and was informed not only was it not in the oven, they had not even started working on it. The man who I assume is manager implied that it was my fault for arriving too early even though I identified myself upon arrival. I waited 10 more minutes to ask a status and he again implied it was my fault for being early, which I was not. read more

Never thought I'd find a pizza worse than Pizza Hut, but I finally found it.

I enjoyed my pizza. It was a build your own so I got to pick the sauce , veggies and meat for it. They had a wide variety of veggies and toppings. Also the meat selection was great! Well! I've officially tried them all!(at least i think so xD). I've been to this place, pieology, and MOD. For anyone wondering MOD pizza is a place similar to the same setup(BuildYourOwn). And there is a new one off the 10 and Lugonia in Redlands, CA near the new shopping. All 3 are basically the same, each has there own plus's and minus's. This was my first ever time at a blaze pizza, and although i sorta enjoyed my pizza it just wasn't optimal. Unfortunately I happened to be so lucky as to be behind very few people in line... Ya right, ok so the nice family in front of me and the others were going a little nuts with the toppings and taking long, w/e i don't mind I'm patient. But then they finish and all of the sudden i notice this classless asian lady in front of me orders 8 pizzas or something like that, i mean CMONNNN. So that takes more time, total time in and out was like 20 minutes, not fast and fired for there being 3 people in front of me upon walk in. At least suggest to the lady that it would be preffered if she ordered everything online ahead to save time??? Like, showing up and slamming them with 8 or w/e is rude... Anyway, i asked for well done, didn't get it, my pizza was soggy, and I like crispy, i always like it crispy. So overall im a little unhappy but my pizza tasted fine. Side salad was great(ceasar) not worth 4$ but great. Biggest disaapointment is the meats, they have big meatballs and large slices of pepperoni and salami and ham. Thats totally lame, i love a lot of meat and I so whats great about pieology is that they have all the meats sliced into like 4 little triangles and the pepperoni is very small pieces that kinda pop up and get crispy. Mmmm. Hate big slices of meat. CUT EM UP MAN. So i sorta liked my pizza, its good food and its a buck less than pieology for dollar conscious people. Overall Mod pizza is slightly more of a hip joint and much pricier but slightly better quality ingredients. My best place imo is pieology, greatest balance and crispiest crust. Not bad here though. I wanted to like this place sooooo bad as I have been to other make your own pizza businesses in other cities. This was the first place I have seen that has that same idea in the desert. I had heard good things about their other locations so I was excited... What a HUGE let down! Came here hungry anticipating to eat it all (as I normally do). I created my own pizza with hot red sauce, mozzarella and 3 toppings (which is not that bad in my mind). The service was friendly, but you definitely can tell they were still getting the hang of things. When the pizza came out of the oven, it looked tasty. I pulled a slice away from the others lifted it up and the pizza went from horizontal to vertical 0-100 real quick! The dough was mushy, limp and flavorless. I was soooo bummed! My fiancé ordered a gluten free pizza with 2 toppings and only a couple pieces of fresh mozzarella. The pizza held up horizontally for most of the meal. However, the dough was like a tostada chip. It was so sad. I hate to say this about my visit, but if it wasn't for the kind service and lemonades I wouldn't even think of coming back. Also the manager asked the table next to us how they liked their meal...They were disappointed as well, so then he decides to spend the next 15min on that table talking nonsense to avoid the real problem. Well I have to admit I was pretty disappointed today during my visit. I patronize this location about once a month and in general am satisfied with my purchase, but today a couple of things really disturbed me and I need to express my feedback. Before I go on, I will say that my pizza was a bummer today...the bottom of it was burned on the crust bottom and the top was not fully cooked(?). Can't figure out why they can't coordinate the pies in the oven to cook thoroughly and completely top and bottom? First, when the pizza dough was presented to the first employee that was to put sauce on it, I noticed as soon as he retrieved the dough on the wooden board that there was a black spot on top of the dough that should not have been there. I don't know what kind of debris that it was but I mentioned it to him and he shrugged it off saying that it was just some "oregano" which I knew was not correct. I don't know his name but he was a tall thin white guy with some facial hair. When he told me it was oregano I said it could not possibly be, because oregano is a dark green flake and this was a small dark black circle of some type of debris (!) Also when I mentioned that it wasn't oregano he insisted that it was and I said well "how would it get there from the point where the lady pressed the dough into a pie and placed it on the wooden board?" and he said that the oregano gets "stuck on their gloves sometimes" and it could have then placed on to that dough by somebody with gloves on. Knowing that the oregano bin is at the END of the assembly line and not at the beginning, this made absolutely no sense since the dough was only handled by a single individual who was pressing it out in the machine, and then laying it on the wooden board. That individual is nowhere near the oregano case and has no occasion to get any kind of ingredients or condiments stuck to her gloves when she's making the dough!! I didn't want to argue so I just asked the gentleman if he could please pick off whatever that black debris was and remove it before he put my pizza sauce on the dough and he did, with rolled eyes and a huff. The second issue I have was with an employee who had the name tag Seb attached to his or her baseball cap. What bothered me tremendously here was that this employee had two very large black hoop and ball piercings through his or her lower lip and it was very disturbing to communicate with this person (watching the mouth and lips move while these piercings and hoops moved independently was just really a bit stomach-turning). I am all for freedom of speech and freedom of expression and this person is clearly entitled to have any number of piercings and tattoos on his or her body that is desired however I think for the purpose of a food establishment the perhaps the supervisory staff could suggest that representatives serving the public directly, especially in food preparation, should remove large jewelry that goes into body piercings at least during the time that they are serving the public and making their food! It just does not seem very hygienic to have what could be a bacteria trap on a person's mouth which is just a couple of feet away from the food that he or she is preparing. Again, this is just my feeling, but it's not appetizing at all to see somebody with piercings in their lips and nostrils be preparing food that I'm going to eat. I really think that when they're in food preparation their body ornaments could and should be removed during that shift!? I really lost my appetite at that point, both with the defensiveness of the first employee, and then the unattractive appearance of "Seb" and his/her mouth. If this was my franchise, he/she would have been required to remove the mouth hardware prior to the shift...it is just upsetting to some people. Maybe I'm just an "old fogey" but it's such a simple fix, really. Not everyone in this world is a fan of body piercings, especially when it is so demonstrative during verbal communication. Sorry. With that experience today, I'm probably not going to be returning to this restaurant, and I won't be recommending it to others. read more

Environment is very modern and they keep the place clean. That's the only positive. Being how this was my first time, I was NOT impressed. To start off, the very first person I came in contact with was rude. It felt that I was inconveniencing her by ordering pizza. Also, I got an eye roll when she took my name and I corrected the spelling. Sorry I like to have it correct. I was with a few other people and each said she was rude. At the end of my order I mentioned I was not impressed to a worker and if I could speak to the manager. He said he would let them know but no manager came to my table. Food was ok. I'll try it again only because I could have ordered the wrong toppings or the staff may have put a bad taste in my mouth. It won't be for a while. This is the kind of pizza place you dream of as a kid...an assembly-line of delicious options that the super-friendly staff magically make a delicious pizza appear based on exactly what you want: pick your own crust (+$2.50 for thick crust), sauce, cheeses, multiple toppings encouraged, then watch 'em fast fire pizza to a fresh, hot, delicious tasty-pizza-goodness for under around $8 (a bit more for if high-rise crust). If too many choices on-the-spot overwhelming, there are plenty of creative options on the menu. Healthy? Tastes healthier due to being freshly baked = less grease. Gluten free dough available. Blaze Fast Fire'd pizza is basically Subway but for pizza. You can build your own custom 12" pizza for around 9$, which is a little on the more expensive side but not too bad. There is no shortage of interesting toppings for your pizza. Service was mostly friendly. However, they made the one critical mistake that any good pizza place would avoid: they skimped on the cheese, leading it to peel all the cheese off the pizza in one bite. Also, the crust was very thin and tasteless, and the sauce felt like too much in some places and not enough in others. I did not enjoy that. I would recommend Costco pizza or Wholefoods pizza over this in a heartbeat. Other than that it was good, I enjoyed the music choice and it was neither too loud nor too quiet. I think that if given time, Blaze Fast Fire'd can become a great. But for now, they remain just OK. read more

Wait 3 minutes, they call your name....and BAM, you're eating! Yeah, it's true - Italians will find this pizza completely laughable(tasteless crust and sauce), the Mozzarella cheese is so obviously artificial - yet, nerdy gamers will wish it was delivered to them while the rest of you keep coming back simply because it's hot, fast and cheap. Pizza is my favorite food of all time. I came out to the desert on vacation for the weekend and tried blaze pizza for the first time. I thought that a long line was promising for a good pizza but I was wrong. Bad pizza is better than a great burger any day, however now that I've tried blaze I now can say that I'd rather have eaten at McDonald's. The sauce tasted like it came from a can of chef boyardee and the crust tasted like a burnt piece of card board. Customer service is terrible. There are 10 employees behind the counter. Only 2 working. I use that term 'working' loosely. Most are too busy on their cell phone or chatting with each other. When they actually have the time in their busy schedule to build your pizza it's inconsistent. Inconsistent you say? So..I must of been here a few times. This was our second visit. We really enjoy thin crust pizzas. I would say the crust was ONLY good part. We spent $25 on 2 pizzas, a drink and a brownie. I ordered the barbecue pizza and was disappointed. The CPK BBQ pizza is just so much more superior tasting. My husband order the meat lovers and was very disappointed by the lack of meat. I would say both pizzas lack a significant amount of cheese and were very unmemorable. Even the brownie was left by the pizza oven too long (we asked for it to be a warmed brownie) and ended up being too dried and crusty/crumbly. read more

This place is great . First you are served freshly made dough that made right in front of you then whatever you want is placed in the dough and then put in their fire oven. As New Yorker living in the desert for 25 years I finally found by far the BEST pizza EVER! Blaze Pizza is scrumptious! The staff and the management, especially Luke are all friendly, courteous and informative (if it's your first time there)! It is spotless clean, the ingredients are fresh and the fact that you could have any kind of pizza with any kind of topping ready in three minutes is amazing! I used to go to New York & when we would arrive at a hotel I would ask the concierge where is the closet pizza! Now that I found Blaze, I am forever a fan! I recommend if you're a pizza lover and especially a New Yorker you'll probably want the Simple Cheese which feeds two & is $5.35! I love the Red Vine with the spicy sauce and I add crushed garlic!
