My experience at this location was great!! I frequent Blaze, but never this location. But now, I think I will make this my new spot. The location is very convenient, service, especially from Shy was amazing, my order came out fast despite it being large, & every single thing ordered was correct & tasty. Um, wow!! This is my first visit to an assembly-line style pizza place, and let me say, this chain will certainly give my beloved Urbn in Vista a run for their money. I'm glad I don't live too close to a Blaze; I'd be there way too often. The line moves very fast here. I arrived with the lunch rush and sat watching the pizzas fly out of the oven. One thing to note with how busy it gets here, is that employees had to use their outside voices and repeat things numerous times for me to understand what they were asking. I basically got friendly-yelled at trying to order and pick-up. I like that there are unlimited toppings for less than 10$. I loaded up on new flavors like goat cheese and roasted garlic chunks. The basil is surprisingly crunchy and lends a nice varying texture. The spicy red sauce is so tasty that I think it's going to ruin basic red sauce for me in the future. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes pizza. Add sauce (optional): pesto, spicy sauce, bbq I chose to do half and half. Half bbq and build your own. The crust isn't as crispy as I like it. And actually was a bit soggy. So as of 10/02/2020 this place has been an absolute train-wreck. I've had so many problems with these young employees coming in only working for their check, not the quality of the food. I'm 19 years old and I treat people with more respect OUTSIDE the workplace than they do on the clock. Get it together, or shut yourselves down. Every time I see a customizable pizza place like Blaze I'm reminded of the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer has the idea of making the customers bake their own pizzas. Sadly, that hasn't become a reality yet. Blaze does come close though. Not only do you get to delegate your own toppings, sauce, and dough, but due to the fast fired nature of the process you get your pizza in just a little over five minutes from when it's ordered. I won't say it's the best pizza I've ever had, but it's certainly close to what I'd describe as the perfect confluence of ingredients without having to break the bank. Build your own pizza! Been here a couple times and each time my experience was pretty good, I've never been disappointed with my service or food. They have pretty good options for your toppings for you to customize your own pizza and all for a set price which is great! Put everything on there if you'd like! I tend to be minimalistic when it comes to my pizza but well worth the price; The flavor is there and the crust is good. I have been a customer of Blaze pizza for the last 5 years at the Torrance Rolling Hills location. I must say, for the last year, the quality of service has been on a steady decline. The location has been taken over by a herd of rowdy, careless teenagers who don't show an ounce of respect for the restaurant or its customers. The staff is constantly joking around, candidly gossiping about their personal lives, all for the whole restaurant to hear. Being a vegan, I'm always offered by (or I request) the handler preparing my pizza to change their gloves to new ones as I like to avoid cross contamination of animal products at all costs. This past visit, the preparer didn't offer, and so I kindly asked. Much to my chagrin, the young teenager rolled his eyes at me, obviously annoyed. Strike one. Upon receiving my pizza, I hurried home only to find that the pizza was completely burnt at the bottom and top crust, spinach was dry, and I found a piece of chicken on the pizza. Remember, I'm a vegan. This was a careless, avoidable mistake. Your employees should have a responsibility to thoroughly check the food before serving it off to the customers. It was totally unprofessional and disappointing. Strike two. As to be expected, I was upset. I proceeded to call the restaurant to report what had just happened and nobody answered the phone, it went straight to an automated voice message. And I tried again, and agin, and again. Nothing. For the next 5 days, I attempted to call to no avail. Why. Who is running this place?! Is there even management present at the restaurant? How is it that I have called the restaurant a total of 40 times in the last FIVE days and NO ONE has bothered to pick up the phone?!?! Don't order here through an app. They completely do not take your orders in a timely manner. My order was made at 3pm with expected delivery time at 3:50-4pm. I got no confirmation for a delivery tracker saying my order was received until 4:46pm. I tried calling and tried cancelling with no luck. Attaching proof of how even the third party app still said it was being delivered at 3:52 when it was clearly 4:46 when it was finally being delivered. Got to my home cold. Horrible. I keep wanting to support this location, but they make it so difficult to do so. It's like they don't want any business. I tried to get Blaze earlier this week, only to find it randomly closed on a Tuesday (5/24) for the entire day. I tried to go again a few days later (5/27), and found some very confusing signs on the door: "Closed until 2pm" and "Online orders only until 12pm, no dine in until after 12pm"-- however-  neither the website, nor the app, would take orders BEFORE 1pm. I saw people setting up inside, but they completely ignored my knocks at the door. After deciding to pick up lunch elsewhere, I drove past Blaze at 11:45am and saw their door propped w/ the "Open" sign. So they ended up opening, just not when they said they would be. Or weren't they? I still don't know, but hey, what a way to confuse your customers. I know that employment has been difficult in the food business, but if other Blaze locations can function under normal business hours, I'm left wondering why this one can't. It is so very inconsistent with just being available to take any business at all-- they are literally losing customers by the day. I was pleasantly surprised with this specific Blaze place. I came here before watching movies at the nearby AMC with my coworkers. It looked just like Pieology so I was curious to see what it was like in comparison. Service: 5 stars for this. The employees there are genuinely thoughtful of what you want on your pizza. They added everything delicately and with lots of finesse! I couldn't believe it when I was watching since I'm used to employees half haphazardly throwing the ingredients on your pizza (like Pieology). It was also a really nice surprise to have them ask you over and over again, "would you like anything else?" They were very patient and friendly! Food: I ordered the green stripe pizza since I love pesto sauce. I requested for wheat dough, but they told me that it's a whole wheat blended pizza dough. The base pizza for green stripe doesn't have tomato sauce, so I added that along with some pepperoni, salame, mushrooms, spinach, garlic, mozzarella, chicken, and artichokes. I waited less than 5 minutes for my pizza to come out and it looked amazing! And tasted just as great. I really loved the flavors and how the spinach was toasted a little bit. The only thing for me was the excess oil in the middle of the pizza when I took a slice. Other than that, very delicious. Paid for my order and waited 30+ mins just for the staff to tell me they are closed at 8:30, when Yelp, Google, and Blaze's website states 9pm. With no signage on the door at all. Staff (not including the shift lead that helped me, which she was amazing) but other than her the boy who very rudely told me they were already closed when I entered through the side door (which I only knew to enter from based off other customers Yelp reviews). I then told him I had placed an online order in which he responded "well we are closed". I then continued by saying they had already charged me and sent me confirmation of my order.. which he then responded with "well I don't know what you want me to tell you, we are closed and we didn't get your order". How are you going to charge someone and then just never give them their food?! I may sound like a Ka**n.. but I have worked in customer service my whole life, and NEVER have I treated a customer like this. The quick made to order pizza places such as this are popping up everywhere. This pizza place is like a Chipotle or Subway where you walk down a line, telling your "pizza" builder what toppings you want on your pie. You can have a plain pizza for $5, a one topping for $5.85 or create your own for like $8. The bad part of the place is the ingredients aren't listed on the wall. So, if its busy (which it was), you can't see what toppings they have, and the order taker wants to know specifically what toppings you want. It was my first time, so feeling rushed, I just took a 1 topping, not realizing they had a lot of great toppings. The crust is thin, but not "too" thin. By the time I got my drink, found a spot, my pizza was done. The place is tiny, so finding a place can be hard if you hit it the wrong time. As soon as I found a spot by the window, a few minutes later, the crowd of diners were finished, and a slew of tables cleared up. Taking away 1 star because the way the menu is constructed, and, the fact the staff assumed you are not a newbie. Yes, the concept is easy, but I had no clue what ingredients they had, and, they sort of rushed you, so you don't get time to just think about what you want. Secondly, I had no idea that they'd call my name. I thought they'd bring the food to me. When I asked them "what next"? It has all the things that I want but I think what keeps me from loving Blaze pizza is their dough. Everything is great except I have an issue with their dough: both the gluten and gluten free kind. Gluten free pizza dough (additional $3 fee) is a big fat LIMP oily mess which cannot support all the toppings. You would literally need to order just a plain cheese and sauce pizza in order to have a chance at a real pizza here. I've made the mistake now twice of ordering what comes out to be a sloppy greasy blunder. The just isn't worth the freedom from gluten. It's the exact opposite. It is the imprisonment and restriction from gluten which will remind you with each flabby and listless bite. Don't even bother. Regular Dough: it's too thin to accommodate all the toppings and makes for a mess awaiting to happen. Again, you could salvage it by going light on the topping but that defeats the purpose of coming here which is you can go crazy with adding as many toppings as your heart, eyes, and belly desire. Thicker Dough: This is the best option out of all the 3 doughs - and yes there is a $3 additional fee. The thicker dough is just really 2 doughs that they smush together in their dough flattening machine. Their "thicker dough" really comes out to just a regular size dough at a regular pizza place so it's not all that thick. Toppings: a decent variety of toppings. Went for pi day. As you can see from the photo, you get what you pay for. A burnt and cold pizza with very little sauce & topping. It's just burnt cold flavored bread. I would rather of just paid full price to have a decent hit pizza. Waited over an hour for the and showed up at exact pick up time. It was ice cold. I was not about to wait another hour for a new $3.14 pizza. My advice, avoid the special and just get a regular pizza. Oh, also, it's only 1 pizza per phone so we all ate elseware while we waited for my daughters pizza (my kids don't have phones and other people with me don't have smart phones so they are excluded from participating in this deal) just a heads up about Pi Day. After my experience at the Location on Rosecrans, my spouse and I thought maybe we would get a better experience in Torrance Rolling Hills . Big mistake. We went on Sunday and before we even got out of the car, a black female employee was locking the front door. There were people in line and people eating inside. When we approached the door a sign read Holiday Hours, online orders only form 3-7. It was about 6:15 pm so they were still open. Just an FYI locking the front door during business hours is a fire hazard and you can be cited for that. The side door was open for online order pickup and we went and stood in line. Surely the employees weren't saying that our presence was a nuisance since they were overloaded with online orders. Why not turn the online ordering service off until they could get a handle on the guest they were present (I work in a restaurant and I know this can be done)? When we got in line one of the employees shouted (without even looking at us) "On line only, the lady (who was in front of us) is the last one. As the guest who did get their order went to leave, the employees would shout out loud and rudely "Use THE OTHER DOOR, THAT's LOCKED". I honestly have it in me to argue my point given I knew (and so did they) that this is wrong and not a way to treat your guest. I just thought what is the point. I definitely would not have them make my food given their attitude. I figured I would call the corporate office. Now here is where you must pay attention. Finding the number was a task. There are about 3 inaccurate numbers listed and their offices are in Pasadena. When I finally got the accurate number, it prompted me to leave a message. I have yet to hear back from anyone. In all honesty, I don't fault the employees. They are young and obviously understaffed and someone is trying to hold that place together with glue, rubber bands and paper clips. When you cannot reach the corporate office directly then you know they definitely have a lack of concern. In that moment I knew it was coming from the top. Look at some of the other previous comments as made very similar to mine and still nothing has been done. One location maybe however this in the second experience in two days from the same company at different locations. No matter how great your product is, if your guest do not feel valued they will just stop coming back. Too bad no one at this company from the top to the bottom is accountable for the guest experience. There is no accountability and no one is managing the integrity of the company. Since no one will hold them accountable, the employees can operate as they see fit (even if it is against the law). Be lucky there was no fire or major accident cause I promise you all would be is a lot of trouble. Best of luck to you all. Look I've been understanding with the whole covid-19 going around. I enjoy Blaze Pizza and are worth it. My issue is that I ordered online and expected to receive my order by 1:52pm. I arrived and asked if mine was ready. Staff told me that mine was barely just getting put together. I look around and it wasn't busy. So, I just don't understand what happened? Omg!!!! so in love with this place. Located across from the Nike store in a shopping center. Situated on the corner. Wasnt very crowded on a tuesday evening, but as we were leaving at 7 it got a lil busy. Customer service was good. We were greeted with a smile and explained how the whole pizza thing worked. I had the thicker crust for an additional 3.00...I kinda had a meat lovers pizza. Meatballs were so good. The chicken was good and the ham was bomb. The ingredients are all fresh and there are so many options to choose from. The music was a tad bit to loud for me. I found myself saying hunh!!!! Alot of times. But overall the place is clean. Horrible service. Ordered two pizzas online, received one. When I asked the delivery man why there was only one pizza when I ordered two he told me I only ordered one. I then checked my receipt and turns out I paid for two pizzas as well as a delivery fee. I then contacted the restaurant and spoke with the shift lead Kassandra. She was no help at all. She told me my second pizza was sitting there and if I want it I have to come get it. I then asked for a refund and she told me I have to go on the app and file a claim or call my bank to dispute it.
