matcha viet coffee
Vanessa A.

First time here and can't wait to come back to try more! Ordered the viet coffee matcha and it was so refreshing. Ive had both before as separate drinks but never combined, so worth it. The staff was friendly and efficient despite the line. Located conveniently in the spectrum so it's a nice pitstop in the middle of a shopping day.

Great coffee. Access is easy if you go during off hours. Park by Target for an easy in and out. Good deep flavors, good selection and options. The oat milk latte with 1 pump of any flavor is great. The Blk Tiger is delicious and strong.

Blk Dot Coffee *March 15th, 2026 *1:30pm- Sunday *5 Stars Environment: *Large Parking Lot *Indoor and Outdoor Seating *Quick Service Food/Drink: *Uji Matcha Latte (Almond Milk) Came here after not being satisfied with a matcha latte from another location earlier, and this spot definitely redeemed it. I ordered the Uji matcha latte with almond milk and was honestly so impressed with the strong matcha flavor that I was hoping for. Service was super quick, which made the experience even better. I've had their coffee plenty of times before and always enjoyed it, so I was excited to finally try their matcha. Definitely a go-to if you're craving a solid, flavorful matcha latte!

One of the few places open late for a coffee out in OC. They took orders down to the last minute of closing. Black dot has a nice "work pitstop & quick pick-me-up" vibe. I got matcha & I've had the einspanner's theyre a MUST for a late night or hustling day. Loved it!

Love this spot for a coffee and hearty breakfast bowl. The light Vietnamese coffee iced is by far my favorite as the normal is a bit too sweet for me. The breakfast bowl has so much flavor and large portions. Great way to start the day around Irvine.

Pure coffee magic! Best iced coffee anywhere. Five stars. Great location. Walk around and enjoy the nice warm weather in SoCal. Highly recommended.

Yuzu Mango Matcha Latte

I had heard great things about the Yuzu Mango Matcha Latte and wanted to try it for myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the matcha flavor. While it is culinary grade rather than ceremonial, it still had a bright green color, and the taste came through nicely, with just a slight astringency. I appreciated that the matcha itself wasn't sweetened, allowing the yuzu mango to provide the sweetness. The addition of yuzu bits was a nice touch, and the bright, citrusy flavor made the latte feel refreshing and surprisingly well-paired with the matcha. I ordered online and the service was accurate to the time.

It's so unfair that we don't have a BLK Dot Coffee in the San Fernando Valley! I love this place for its vibe and delicious coffee. My absolute favorite is the Vietnamese iced coffee. This spot is a must for anyone visiting the area.

Today was my first time trying Blk Dot and we ended up parking at the Target in Irvine Spectrum and walked over. I haven't been to this side of Irvine Spectrum before but parking was surprisingly easy. This coffee shop was SO busy at 3pm on New Year's Day. The line moved quickly and service was friendly. Drinks came out very shortly after we ordered. I had the Vanilla Maplenut Latte; this drink is really subtle and didn't have a strong flavor at all. I was expecting it to be a little sweeter but I don't think it's something I'd order again. The VTMatcha is a matcha with vietnamese coffee on the bottom. This drink is very unique and has a bold flavor that surprisingly works well together. My boyfriend chose this drink based on how pretty it looked but ended up really enjoying it. There is some outdoor seating available to hang out and enjoy your coffee, but it is not necessarily a location I'd recommend staying at for extended periods of time, simply because of how long the line gets and how crowded it can be.

I had a pretty frustrating experience here. They start closing the patio area at 9pm even though the store closes at 10pm, which feels way too early and unnecessary--especially when there were still three employees working. What really bothered me was being interrupted mid-order at the self-service kiosk so they could block it off with chairs. I was literally in the middle of placing my order and had to stop and move because they decided to shut things down early. If your posted hours say you're open until 10, customers should be able to use the space and order without being rushed or pushed out early. This just felt inconvenient and poorly handled.

Service is quick. Store is nice and clean. There is a bit of outside seating, but since it's at spectrum you can sit pretty much anywhere. Coffee is strong especially the Vietnamese coffees. I've taken a pic of my regular order :)

- BLK Dot - One of my favorite spots in OC for a strong drink. This particular location is at the Irvine Spectrum, near the Apple Store & Target. I've tried so many variations of their drinks & have never been disappointed! Love their matcha for an afternoon pick me up & the VTM is my morning go to. They also offer breakfast/pastries. Their prices are fair & customer service and quality of beverages 10/10!

Came in with friends and ordered a few drinks. I love their Uija Matcha with almond milk. It's a great stop to stop by for a shopping break!

Ask the Community - Blk Dot Coffee

Why can't you guys fill the cup all the way for viet coffee when we request ez ice? Is there a viet coffee traditional rule?

Ice is a part of the recipe, so when requesting less ice there is an inch of room at the top because they don't alter the recipe any further. However, if you wanted to top it off, you can ask for the additional pour which is a small fee of $1.30...… Read more

5 stars for the goma matcha latte and milk bread with crunchy pearls!…read more The goma matcha latte 5/5 had a black sesame paste that was like the black sesame version of smooth peanut butter! One could probably eat it by the spoonful! Such a complex flavor complement to the matcha latte. The matcha latte (4/5) felt fairly strong (I estimate 4g at least), and the mango puree tasted real/ fresh but was nothing special. However, I did like that it was not too sweet. Caveat: I am partial to mango/coconut milk or mango sticky rice matcha lattes. The goma matcha was worth the $8 pricetag. Tip: Matcha Mondays=10% off matcha drinks! The mango one maybe was worth it due to the amount of matcha, but I do feel like I could make it at home. The milk bread ($5.50) was soft, with a delightful bursting sweet cream filling topped with those shite pearly crunchies-- unique and delicious. I also loved the kinako an pan (sweet bread with red bean filling, $5.50) because of the nostalgic flavors, but also because the azuki bean had a nice crunchy sugar quality. It was on the drier side the day after purchase, but I enjoyed it. Service was cheerful and speedy. The space is pretty large with probably as much outdoor seating as indoor, and there were a few open spots at 1:30 on a Monday. Parking was plentiful in the shared plaza lot with some shady spots. I would drive back just for that goma matcha latte!! Also to try a few other breads or for a nice friend date spot to sit outside.

You order at the register and they'll bring your order to you when it's ready. I got the hojicha latte and added sweetener. The flavor was really good but it was all ice and not fully filled the cup. Felt like without ice it would have filled a shot glass. I got the chicken pesto which was delicious. Had great flavor and portion and I enjoyed the salad it came with. The mango cream bread had a good amount of cream and the filling was delicious. The chocolate cookie was good but so hefty. I ordered the matcha cheesecake and original cheesecake thinking it was the soft and fluffy texture but it had a thick consistency. The matcha was good with a very strong matcha flavor and the original had a slight lemon flavor. I enjoyed all the food and sweets here, but a bit disappointed with their drink portion.

I would like to say that we both really like this location. The ambiance is nice, there's a lot of seating, indoor and outdoor. Good spot to hang out with friends and family. The food was very delicious, so kudos to the cooks and a big thanks to the guy at the bar, he handled everything very well. That being said, our experience was not the best. Upon entering the establishment, we browsed the menu for a couple minutes and came up to the counter when we were ready to order. We were not greeted or even looked at by the cashier so we weren't sure if she was busy or waiting to take our order. She finally made eye contact so we started ordering. She asked us something but the music was a little loud and there were customers chatting at the bar so it was a hard to hear. We apologized for not hearing and she repeated herself in a very annoyed tone and rolled her eyes. She already seemed annoyed as we entered the establishment so the entire process of ordering was very uncomfortable and her attitude after we missed what said, was very rude. She was giving us dirty looks our entire stay. When we got our food dropped off by the same cashier (I believe her name was Kadence as stated on the receipt) everything looked fine except they forgot to give us our sauce on the side. Not a huge deal, my husband went up to ask for it and the guy at the bar was very nice, even gave us extra sauce. We got to eating and when my husband took a bite of his sandwich, he bit into bacon and we do not eat pork! He was very upset and doesn't like to make a fuss (normally would eat the sandwich even if it was the wrong order) but again, we do not eat pork and not eating pork is a big deal to us so he just wanted the sandwich he ordered. I went to the register to ask if we can have the correct sandwich made and let them know they can take the other sandwich back and once again the guy from the bar came to help, our original cashier did not want to make eye contact, didn't bother coming up to the register or apologized for anything. We felt bad because they threw away the whole sandwich, which I know is the typical process for the food industry but still sad seeing the food go to waste. While we were waiting for the correct sandwich, Kadence was still giving us dirty looks so we decided to go eat outside and from outside we could still see her in the window continuing to give us dirty looks! Laughable at this point. My husband and I are both very friendly and understanding people, we always love to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she was having a bad day and it was an honest mistake, but her demeanor just made things very uncomfortable. Overall, we would not come back to this location as there are two other locations closer to where we live and their staff is always very friendly and helpful.

came here recently and wow... that sourdough is no joke…read more we ordered to-go and sam said the guy helping him (maybe the owner or manager?) was super friendly and genuinely delightful. that already made the experience feel good before we even took a bite. we tried the french dip and the garlic turkey pesto. let me just say -- the TEXTURE of the sourdough??? chef's kiss. crusty on the outside, perfectly chewy inside, exactly how good sourdough should be. it honestly makes other sourdough spots taste a little mediocre in comparison. the french dip was my favorite. the au jus wasn't overly salty (which I appreciate), and everything just felt balanced and well executed. sam loved the garlic turkey pesto -- the mustard threw us off at first, but the more we ate it, the more it all came together in a really nice way. only con is the price. it's definitely on the higher end for sandwiches, which is the main reason I wouldn't order it super regularly. that said, you can tell the bread is baked in-house and super fresh, so I can't be too mad about it. overall, really happy we tried this spot and would absolutely come back when we're craving legit sourdough.
