Came here for brunch and service was friendly and on point. I didn't have a reservation and they were able to accommodate with bar seating with full access to menu. Scallion Cheddar biscuits- savory buttery perfection. Would order again 110% Oysters- very fresh. Smoked was amazing. Octopus- another show stopper with tender well charred octopus bites. They were also able to slice it for easier sharing. Steak and Eggs- wasn't amazed but a staple classic. Potatoes are covered in a sauce reminiscent of papas bravas dish. blueberry pancakes- very thick and huge portion. Wasn't bad but wasn't amazing. Satisfied my sweet craving

I decided to try somewhere new on my foodie list for an early 30th birthday with my family and Bludorn was the perfect pick! Our waiter Dylan was phenomenal!! We began the night with a complimentary celebratory champagne toast. We each ordered cocktails. I had the Stirred Strawberry Margarita! We also ended the night with Grasshoppers and Carajillos. The menu we had is their Spring 2026 menu. We began with oysters and ordered them all types of ways. I ordered the Short Rib Ravioli. My mom ordered the Crab Rice. My dad ordered the Dry-Aged Duck. My husband ordered the Hanger Steak with a twice baked potato. The sides we ordered were Creamed Spinach and Crispy Potato Wedges. For dessert we ordered the Baked Alaska with carrot cake ice cream and cream cheese, it was amazing! I can't wait to go back! The attention to detail is amazing! The restaurant can be a little loud when it's super busy so keep that in mind if you're looking for something a little quieter. The building itself is really cute inside! Thank you for everything Bludorn!

This time we sat in the patio Reservation was at 6 and we were seated immediately Service was surpurb All our dishes were delicious Tuna crude was amazing Squash blossoms are a must!! They didn't have raspberry for my clover club but offered me other options I was very pleased Was offered off menu dessert that was unique and delicious. Patio ambiance was chill compared to the inside. Looking forward to our next visit!!

We went for a special event in the private room upstairs and everything was perfection! The room was great for a private party. The service team was superb. They went above and beyond for any allergies and items I don't eat (shellfish and pork products)...the dessert I selected used a pork product in the gelatin which they knew when I was ordering so I selected the other option. When they brought out the dessert, they brought me what I originally wanted and said there is no pork in it. I was looking to see how mine was different from others and another service person came up to show me that the mousse inside of mine was a little different than the others because they were able to make it without the pork gelatin for me. This level of service is so rare. Thank you!!!

I hadn't known that they were open for a Sunday brunch, so we excitedly accepted the idea to celebrated my brother's birthday here. The valet upfront is the only lot around, so be prepared to hand over $8 for the pleasure. The interior is remarkably cozy and approachable for a Michelin honoree restaurant, there's a touchable and lived in feel to the walls and furniture that I appreciated as we visited with little ones on a cold Sunday morning. The food is layered and tasty in lots of subtle ways. Potato wedges we got for our 3yo were crispy enough even as we snacked on them waiting for our main course. Short rib ravioli soaked up all the smoky good flavor and was almost like brisket in that sense. Some foods were just good, the pancake, for as stunning as it looks, was a more stodgy than I'd want it to be. The steak n eggs had a few too many unrendered or untrimmed pieces of fat for a place like this. My main gripe was our service. Our waiter was splendid when he was around, but we just saw way too little of him. I would've had 2, 3, even 4 mixed drinks since we were celebrating. we just never got the chance to order them, our guy just wasn't interested in our large table and it kinda sucked. I'm hoping this was just an us thing, because the place wasn't all that busy and besides one little one, we are not nearly a rowdy bunch on our worst days. I'd still come back for a swing at dinner, but I'm not nearly as motivated to do so after this initial visit unfortunately.

Came here for my birthday and they did not disappoint! The service is white table cloth. The mood is dimly lit fine dinning. Attire ranges from dressy casual to dressy. I have no complaints about the dishes I had. No parking, but valet available.

Ambience, staff, food, amazing. This was a great service. My friend brought me here for brunch for my bday. It wasn't overly packed so staff was attentive and worked as team. We did have hiccups with our drinks but they handled it beautifully so no marks off for it. Ok let's get into the food. We started with biscuits and the oysters. I still think about those biscuits. I liked all the oysters except the roasted one. It tasted good it was just too much for me. Short rib ravioli and the hash delicious! That pancake is meant to be shared. If you eat that all by yourself bless your heart. It is goodt with a T though! They also gave us champagne and brought me out a slice of cake which was so good. I'm not a huge chocolate cake fan and I loved it. This was a great dining experience and I look forward to joining them for dinner.

Wanted to see why people were raving about their blueberry Pancakes and I decided to drop in after church. I had a reservation but I was one hour early and asked them could I be seated early and the hostess gave several different options. Since I was alone, I decided to sit at the bar which turned out to be a good choice. After I placed my order for the pancakes and smoked bacon a staff member approached me with plate of biscuits and Jam and told me, they were complimentary. So, while I was waiting on the main course, I started nibbling on the biscuits and I found out that was a big mistake because they were extremely tasty. A few minutes later, the pancakes came out and I could not believe how big they were and I knew, it was no way I could eat them all. So, I took two to three bites just to taste and I couldn't believe how fluffy and tasty they were. After those few bites I asked for a to go container because I knew the leftover would be my meal for the next two days. This experience made me a believer and I will definitely put them in my rotation.

We love the work Aaron Bludorn has been doing in Houston so we were excited to try Bludorn. They have a global seasonal menu with rotating dishes and you have to try on of their handcrafted cocktails. Ambiance: this is an upscale restaurant with an open concept that allows you to see in the kitchen. The restaurant can get pretty loud when it is full. We went on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was packed. Looked like a lot of business meetings and date nights. The restaurant is dimly lit and the wait staff is constantly running around. Service: the service here is excellent. The wait staff is attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food we ordered was spaced out well so we didn't feel like we needed to rush through appetizers to get to our main entrees. The manager came to check in on our dinner which is always appreciated. Parking: there is a small parking lot in the back so you can try to find self parking back there. The restaurant uses half of that back parking lot for valet so we ended up parking on the street at the back of the restaurant which has free street parking. There is valet parking available in the front of the restaurant. Drinks: we ordered the Basil Gimlet and Strawberry Margarita. My girlfriend loved the Basil Gimlet but fair warning this cocktail is very strong. The strawberry margarita was good but nothing special. I would go for one of their other cocktails if you're considering the strawberry margarita. Food: We ordered a dozen oysters raw and the pierogis for appetizers. We had the Duke and Sunken Meadow oysters, 6 of each. Both of these oysters were delicious and would recommend if you have the chance to order these. The rabbit pierogis were easily our favorite dish of the night. The pierogis themselves were light and crispy and were covered in a salsa macha that was to die for. Definitely get these if they are still on the menu. For our mains we got the hangar steak and the gulf cioppino. The hangar steak was cooked to medium rare but it was in the salty side. The gulf cioppino had a rich seafood broth and had a lot of seafood in it with grouper, shrimp, and crab. We preferred the cioppino to the steak. We got a side of sautéed spinach which was a little too buttery for our liking. The twice baked potato that came with the hangar steak was very good and was our favorite side we had. Overall, Bludorn was a nice dinner spot for a date or special occasion. It was on the pricier side so save this spot for a special night. The food was good but not the best we've had. We enjoyed our experience from the service to the food and drinks but not every dish was a hit so come try out Bludorn for yourself and find something you like on their extensive menu!

Yea this is now our favorite place for special occasions (or any occasion to be honest). The restaurant was dark and intimate, the service was excellent and the food blew us away. We ordered a couple dishes and not a single miss. Steak tartare (5/5)- some of the best steak tartare I've ever had. Highly recommend ordering this dish, the sauce that is paired with it is seriously addicting. Chowder (5/5)- might be biased but we're big fans of New England clam chowders and this was right up our alley. The puff pastry that the chowder came in was incredible. Octopus (4/5)- the octopus was super tender on the inside yet sort of crispy on the outside. Spaghetti (5/5)- so so so good, probably one of the best uni pastas I've had. Dry aged duck (4/5)- honestly order this last if you must have it. This dish was delicious, but very decadent from all the different forms of foie used in it. P.S. even the complimentary bread rolls and butter were delicious I could eat 20 of those

This restaurant is located in the heart of Montrose and boasts in French-inspired, New American cuisine. The atmosphere is gently fashionable and welcoming. With a menu that changes and offers seasonal variety, there is always something to look forward to on each visit. The fresh baked bread and butter to start off with was the gateway to an absolutely fulfilling culinary experience. The Lolla Rossa Salad with white balsamic vinaigrette, peaches, and feta is well balanced with sweet and salty notes. The Chili Cured Salmon is fresh, with mini bursts of sweetness from the watermelon and light heat from the guajillo. The Pork Shoulder Steak is so tender and juicy, matched with polenta and ratatouille. The Vacherin is sweet yet slightly tart with raspberry ice cream, lemon ricotta, and passion fruit (a dream of its own). The Chocolate Entremet is layered with devil's food cake and vanilla ice cream...simply indulgent. All of this with top notch service. I like the variety of wines and cocktails and being able to sit at the oyster bar where you'll be able to see some kitchen action. I also like that you can order all the kinds of oysters at the table in the dining room and everything else on their menu. There are so many things I want to try at Bludorn, I'll be back for more. The restroom is gender neutral, so don't be surprised. Valet parking is available for a reasonable price at the front or try to pull into one of the spots in the lot in the back if you can.

First and foremost Bludorn's service is impeccable. To celebrate our anniversary our gracious server Olivia started us off with complimentary Prosecco to set the tone for our celebration. The team here work harmoniously well together that brought our dinning experience to another level. Appetizer: Steak Tartare, crunchy, creamy, and wonderful balanced flavors. Entrees: - Red Snapper, left me speechless... citrus and fresh yet blew me away from the first bite. Highly recommend! - Pierogi Rabbit Confit, a burst of savory buttery goodness. The Salsa Macha tied it all together. Cocktails: Sweet Talker, refreshing and sweet notes of guava. Dessert: Chocolate Pot de Crème, (dark chocolate/ bitter cocoa) a creamy rich chocolate that was on the bitter side but combined with the fig jam was a semi-sweet bundle of yumminess. Overall, I cannot wait to stop by bludorn again as my experience was memorable. Service 1000/10 Ambiance 10/10 (kitchen view) Food 10/10

The fried chicken was well balanced, good brine and a crispy delicate batter. The bread with butter and jam was also quite decent. Seems to be a martini place but I had a Manhattan and really enjoyed it, it was a strong drink but very tasty. The kampachi crudo was very light but also flavorful with fun textures from the toppings. The mussels on bread were savory and buttery, really liked the addition of the large beans. The pappardelle with the wide noodles was so fun and there was lots of parm which I liked, and the lemon zest was a nice touch. The squash was soft and I loved the ricotta. The campanelle was really unique with the crawfish and the spicy sauce, the noodle shape was so fun. The cheeseburger is tiny but mighty, super juicy and cheesy. The fries were perfectly crispy. Is this the most overrated restaurant in Houston?…read more After being on my "To Try" list for an unacceptable amount of time, I finally made my way over to Nancy's Hustle. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation. I arrived about 30 minutes into open and there was already a wait list. I suggest getting there early or making a reservation if you're not a solo diner. The interior is nice and intimate, with low lighting that doesn't work well for photos but definitely for a cozy dinner. The set up and music reminded me a little bit of 93 Til due to the decor. I started with the duck dumplings and the Nancy cakes. I wasn't expecting it but they offer half orders which is great for a solo diner who wants to try multiple things. Both items were delicious. The dumplings had a nice savory sauce with some texture from the peanuts. These were great but probably my bottom of the list which is saying something. I would only say this because they reminded me a lot of the hot oil wontons from duck and bao so at that price point, you might as well get more. The Nancy cakes were pillowy and savory and made a great vessel for honey butter and roe. I even used a bit to dunk into the leftover dumpling sauce. I suggest eating these as soon as they hit your table. I was trying to savor my bites but the cakes benefit a lot from being nice and hot. It's not the most ground breaking dish in the world but it's done well and I would definitely call it a must order. I could have eating a full order of it alone. My main dishes is where my mind was blown. I went with the roast chicken and half order of the gem lettuce salad and fries. This might be the best roast chicken I've ever had in Houston. Chicken can be a hit or a miss because sometimes, there just isn't much flavor. This was absolutely not the case here. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to the core. It even heated up well as left overs without being dry. The chili sauce on the bottom was flavor intensified and as I swiped my chicken through the pools of sauce, I thought to myself "overrated where?!". The gem salad caught me by surprise. I'm not one to stay away from a salad at a restaurant because they typically do them better than you can make at home . Nancy's Hustle solidified this opinion. The salad was wonderfully briney and savory. The lettuce was crisp and covered in the herby shallot dressing that grabbed my taste buds. Topped with anchovies and pancetta for a nice salty touch. So so good. The fries were the perfect side, crisp and not too potatoey (yes this is a thing). I traded in the aoli for some ketchup because that's just my thing. I concluded this wonderful dining experience with a dessert. Buttermilk ice cream with cornflakes, black berries and honey butter cookie. This dessert was a lesson in balance. Every component was present , sweet, salty, crunchy, cool. Each bite had something new to offer and combined into a perfectly executed dessert. As a cocktail, I tried their tropical drink. I don't remember what it was called but I know I could have drank about 7 of those. This was a great dining experience. I think when things get popular, sometimes we feel the need to be contrarians with our experiences. That wasn't the case for me. Nancy's Hustle has earned its popularity and I'll definitely be back

I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

Unfortunately, I've been consistently underwhelmed, especially considering the prices. Today, the bill was approximately $65 for two hamburgers, fries, an iced tea, and a Coke (and they even charge for Coke refills--my friend had two). Beyond the cost, they seem to treat ketchup like it's a luxury item. For two burgers and fries, they brought out a single small ramekin, and it always feels like you have to ask repeatedly for more. Another frustration is their attitude toward reservations. Every time I've visited, they've made a point of mentioning that I didn't have one. This time, I specifically made a reservation through OpenTable, only to later see it marked as canceled. I'm not sure why, but it certainly left a bad impression. Overall, the food is fine, but the combination of high prices, nickel-and-diming on basics, and the overall customer experience means this won't be one of my preferred lunch spots going forward.

First, we got there pretty early for our reservation. We sat almost immediately upon check in. Our waiter was in training but did a really good job. Ordered a whiskey sour. Was seated at the bar so I got to watch it be made. The bartender- man that guy never stopped. He was organized and just did his thing. So many pretty drinks were made while I was there watching. The pink one, whatever it was, was really pretty! On to the food. We got two apps, two meals, and two desserts. Husband ordered the Brussels, Steak Frites, and the Devil's Affogato. I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it. Restaurant vibe is relaxed and clean. There were several large parties and what looked like a lot of date night guests. Just try it. No regrets!!

Unfortunately, just like my first visit, they were not fully met. We had reservations for brunch, and our party of six was seated immediately on the beautiful second floor. Service was efficient throughout the meal, with our waiter taking our orders promptly and the food arriving quickly. To start, we ordered the Brussels and the hummus. The Brussels were cooked very well and had an excellent crispy texture, but I felt the kung pao vinaigrette lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. A little more sweetness and acidity would have helped brighten the dish and make it more memorable. The hummus, on the other hand, pleasantly surprised me. Both the red beet hummus and edamame hummus were flavorful and enjoyable. They paired well with the crisp flatbread and even served as a nice accompaniment to some of our less exciting entrées. For my meal, I ordered the marinated artichoke pizza, which unfortunately did not stand out. I had the same issue that I experienced during my previous visit: the crust was simply too thick and chewy. After a few slices, my jaw was genuinely getting tired from all the chewing. The pizza also could have benefited from more bacon and a more generous amount of sauce, as it came across a bit dry overall. The campanelle suffered from a similar problem. While I understand that simplicity was likely the goal, the dish was so understated that it ended up feeling bland. It tasted like a slightly elevated version of buttered pasta with just a hint of white wine. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but it lacked the depth of flavor needed to make it memorable. On a much more positive note, the carrot cake pancakes were easily the star of the meal. I tend to gravitate toward savory breakfasts, but my sister was eager to try them, and I am so glad she did. These were not your typical pancakes. They were thick, fluffy, and incredibly soft in the center. With toppings like maple butter, maple cream, mascarpone whip, candied walnuts, and cardamom sugar, I expected the dish to be overwhelmingly sweet. Surprisingly, everything was balanced quite well. While I cannot imagine finishing an entire plate by myself, anyone with a sweet tooth would absolutely love them. Overall, this restaurant continues to impress me with its atmosphere, service, and a few standout dishes, but the entrées I have tried have not lived up to the hype. If I were to return, I would happily order the hummus and carrot cake pancakes again, but I would probably skip the pizza and pasta in favor of trying something new.

We came in for a girls night, and to try the girl dinner that they had been promoting. It came with Steak, Fries and a Caesar Salad and cocktail, which I think is a perfect combo. It was just enough food. Before we started our meal, we ordered the Onion Rings appetizer, and they were so good. Came out super hot and crispy batter with a yummy aioli for dipping. The steak came out perfectly cooked to my liking, the fries, super yummy, wished I had more! And the salad was light and crisp. I opted for the espresso martini, which again, made to my liking! I also ordered another drink, a vodka martini, which was nice crisp and smooth. To round out our evening, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert. They ran out of ice cream, but it was not needed. This is one of the best bread pudding's I've ever had. It had a nice toasted bottom, and was warm and gooey throughout each bite. I was only going to take a bite, but that was hard to do, so we devoured it pretty quickly. Suffice to say, I'll order that as an appetizer on my next visit!

A couple of minutes later, a guy walks up, I tell him my name and that I'm there for party inder said name, and he basically just waves me up the elevator. Like I said, it was my first time--I had no idea what to expect or how to get around. What started out as a nice experience turned into "meh" not long after the appetizers, which were good, by the way. When the main courses started to arrive, at least three people in my party weren't happy with their food. One sent her plate back and decided not to order anything else. After seeing that, I just went for a salad to avoid further disappointment with my own food. The bill was the next headache. The waitress seemed to try her best, but she needed help. It took over an hour to get things sorted out. There was no follow-up, no "sorry for your inconveniences," especially on my birthday, or anything. Other than the restaurant's look, the apps, and I guess the cocktails, I wouldn't recommend coming for anything outside of happy hour.
