I'm not sure what happened to the old staff, but the customer service at this location has gone down hill the last couple of months. I went in this Saturday and ordered the McLovin, my normal order. The cashier was friendly and told me it would take 20 mins. That was no big deal as they were busy and the food is pretty tasty. For those that do not know, the McLovin is not on the menu. It's basically a Campechana burrito with taquitos in it. It's almost as long as your arm and thick as hell. It cost $28. Normally a great deal. 20 mins passes, no big deal as I said they were busy. But then I noticed that customers that came after me were receiving their orders before me. This got me a little annoyed. I'm usually a patient person as I work in customer service and understand things are not always on time. I can understand maybe 1 person receiving their order before me, but 3 is not acceptable. After 30 mins I got up to look in the kitchen to see if they had started my order. Nope, didn't see a thing. After 40 mins I finally got the order. Now I get the McLovin because it's normally a huge burrito. The last I got it I was a little disappointed because it wasn't the same size as before. I figured things happen and didn't say anything. This time when I got it, it was noticeably a lot smaller than last time. Also, the wrapper was covered in grease. Fucking gross and unsanitary! I took it outside to show my gf and she noticed that it was a lot smaller too. I brought it back inside and asked the cashier if they downsized the McLovin. She said that they have always made it that size. I really wanted to ask her how she knew that because I'm sure she was fairly new. But I didn't want to be an ass to her as she was just the cashier. She went and asked the ' cook or manager' if it was made correctly. The ' cook or manager' seemed to have an attitude problem. I could see her speaking to the cashier and was clearly annoyed. She basically said ' if he doesn't want it, give him his money back". No offer to speak to me or correct the problem. I'm not one to cause a scene or get loud. I'd rather get my money back and go spend it somewhere else. But this kind of pissed me off as I have spent hundreds in there. I've recommended this place to a lot of friends and coworkers but will let them know to go elsewhere as the service and quality has changed. read more

Ok this was my second visit. First visit was an absolute nightmare! Terrible customer service. Didn't even receive my online order. Then we waited FORVER! We did pick up just to avoid the nonsense. Well the food was so delicious that we decided to give them another try. Wrong choice. We called before even coming and she said it would be ready in couple minute so we drove over. Once we got here we called to let them know we were in the curbside pick up area (as the sign says to do) and they didn't answer for next 10minutes. So we waited. And waited. This place is amazing! Food is a little pricey if you go for the tacos. But the burritos are super worth it in my opinion. I got the surf and turf and I ended taking one more to go it was so good. The only issue I would say is that They don't give much surf (Shrimp) in the burrito, but still very delicious. Plus they have blue horchata which is just amazing. It came with a chipotle sauce and he even gave us extra, the service was great. Even though we came right before closing they were able to happily serve us, no problem. I've had many surf and turf burritos and it's safe to say this is one of the best ones I've had. The proportions of all the ingredientes were perfect and you could tell they weren't stingy with anything. As for the portions, it was more than filling. Make sure to come here when you're hungry. The ambiance is one thing that I didn't really like, but it was more of a personal preference issue. Finally a burrito that tastes like home. Been waiting for a San Diego style carne asada burrito for a while, and this one comes very close. Meat, guac, and pico wrapped in a perfect tortilla, with a cup of red for pouring in between bites. This might sound simple, but with no extra filler to dilute the deliciousness, it's the perfect alchemy of flavors. While I still miss my favorite spots in San Diego this is a nice reminder. I had an issue with my Door Dash Order with us receiving the wrong order. I called the BB and Stevie(sp) answered the phone. She was very empathetic towards me! She was also very supportive on what to do and I followed the her advice. I asked her to please remake my order and I will go pick it up. When I showed up to pick up the order her treatment of me was not different then on the phone. The training of the new employees should be done by Stevie(sp). Wow. My girlfriend and I were craving burritos and just happened to find Blue Burro on Yelp. How anybody could rate them less than 4 stars is beyond me. First off: the place is clean and it was reassuring to see plexiglass in front of the register for added protection during these crazy Covid times. The service was friendly and the prices are terrific. Comparable to other counter service burrito joints and less expensive than a takeout order from a traditionally sit-down Mexican restaurant. But the food... that's the skeleton all else hangs from. I got a California Burrito, my girlfriend got an egg, bean and cheese. Both were to die for. The tortilla was soft, warm and chewy, the meat was savory and the fries were crispy. The sour cream was used in the right amount... wasn't just globbed in there, but used as an accent to everything else going on inside. The cheese in both burritos didn't quite melt in the middle, but neither of us really cared. Oh... and the portions were HUGE. Not knowing how big the burritos were, we also ordered surf and turf chips to share. Some of the best nachos either of us have ever had. Even after not being able to finish our burritos, we couldn't stop eating these things. They didn't skip on the Asada or the shrimp and the chips themselves were crispy and not greasy. The steak was some of the most flavorful I've had on chips. It was too much food to have with a burrito, but I'd gladly hit up Blue just to quell a nacho craving. After seeing one of our favorite local chains all but give up on their food and service during quarantine, we blindly gave Blue Burro a shot and couldn't be happier that we did. We'll certainly be going back again to try some of their other offerings. My family and I order from you fairly regularly. Honestly, the food is great, but the service is typically mediocre at best. Items are routinely forgotten in our order, so much so that my 9 year old now knows to check the order when she gets in the car. Today was by far the worst. We ordered online, my 9 year old went inside to pick up the order. Only half of our order was in the bag. She went back in for the missing items and was asked to go back to the car to get the bag for proof we didn't already have the order. What?!? You didn't properly QA the order and now you are asking for your customer to prove it? She then waited for even more time, and then was handed our tacos. We didn't realize until after leaving the parking lot that the beans we ordered were still missing. I can say without a doubt the consistent LACK of service you provide is a huge problem that I would recommend you address. Although we love your food, this was probably our last order placed. Ordered: the adobada fries, adobada burrito, and carne asada/adobada tacos, and the blue horchata drink I loved the type of fries they have bc they're the skinny type and not the fat ones like in school cafeterias. burrito was great, packed with meat since there was no rice and beans! The tacos are a bit pricy for your average tacos but they are a bit bigger and are generous with the meat! The blue horchata tho I wasn't really a fan, can't really taste the horchata much but I still wanted to give it a try! I will def try the mezapan shake next time due to the recommendations!
