I got the California burrito and it wasn't that great. The burrito wasn't really warm and I had to add guacamole because it didn't come with a California burrito for some reason. This place is amazing! My husband and I love ordering food from here. Besides the food and shakes being delicious, their customer service is incredible. They are always super nice, friendly, positive, and helpful. I do food deliveries as well and this is one of my favorite places to deliver food from. Last time I was there I had to tell them how great they are doing. I have been here so many times and the employees are very nice and care for their customers. Today I went in to order and the African American lady greeted my girlfriend and I and said she will be with us in a bit. I was like no worries and then we were ready to order. So we started ordering and after the second item she was like your total is (I was not done ordering) and then I was like I also want a the carne asada chips and she made a face at us for ordering more. I was about to order 1 more item and she cut me off and gave us our total and asked for a name. Like I said earlier, I was not done ordering so I didn't end up ordering the other item and I felt as if she was going to give me attitude for ordering more. As I was waiting, she went to throw out the trash and she slammed one of the chairs outside and she had a moody face or something and I didn't feel comfortable while I was waiting for my food. It's possible this place could be very good if they actually put a decent portion inside the burritos. The tortillas are good but that's all you can taste in most of the burrito. I ordered delivery and it arrived quickly yet the food was warm. Wasn't a mark on the tortillas as if they hadn't been warmed up prior. What was inside was good but there just wasn't much of it. Paying 12 something for a burrito you would think it would be large or at least full of ingredients. It was neither. The most disappointing was the bean and cheese burrito. It's was over $9 and there was maybe a scoop of beans. I know inflation is bad but beans are the cheapest ingredient here and they still cheaped out. The couple bites in the middle of the burritos were good so there is hope this place will improve or I had a bad order but for now there are just too many better options for Mexican in Long Beach. I came here because I had a taste for carne asada fries. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food tasted! The meat is a better quality then a lot of the places I go for carne asada fries. The fries were crunchy and not soggy, even after in drove home to eat them. I got the large size which is actually a shareable size for 2 in my opinion. The small is about the size of a medium at other places. Also the service is good! They were very clean and everyone was wearing gloves. I had high hopes for this place. The first time I ate there the food and service was very good. The only complaint I would have is they don't bus/clean the tables often enough. The food was so good the first time we went back tonight and we waited and waited and waited for our food. After about a half an hour I asked where it was and a man walks to the back and brings it out. I asked if it had been sitting back there and if it was cold because he came back with it immediately. He said no it's still warm. Well he lied, the food was in fact cold so it had been sitting. I took it to the counter in the hopes they could at the very least microwave it and the lady said they didn't have a microwave. She offered to take it back and make me another however we were starving at this point and my husband was just eating it cold. I refused to give up my food because I was afraid I'd never get it back. We spent $35 bucks on fast food that wasn't fast. Blue burro, people don't want to pay a ton of money for cold food. Prices everywhere have been going up so eating out is becoming a luxury again. Blue Burro you have really good food but your staff wasn't able to keep up with the volume or cleaning tables. I don't expect that I will go back, they didn't care that we got cold food and they didn't make it right. Also just FYI when people wait too long for cold food, they are already pissed so offering to make them another doesn't help because you can't replace the time they lost waiting to get what they paid for. Dropped in because we pulled into the plaza and saw the long line outside. Learned by reading the other yelp reviews that this place has been getting some buzz from a tiktok video. We were very excited by the photos, high reviews, and hungry HOWEVER... our honest thoughts and critique (if I may) is that this place needs to work on quality control if they want to remain popular after the hype dies down. For how long it took for our meal to come out, the campechana burrito was lukewarm (cheese wasn't even melted), too much tortilla (which tells me it should be bigger) and blues famous rolled tacos were not at all made to order (soggy under the toppings; stale on the dry bits), also lukewarm. The busy workers behind the counter kept walking right by my husband without stopping for a second to ask if something was wrong with the order - they forgot his milkshake. And the constructive criticism nobody asked for: meeting the immediate (very busy) demands of sudden popularity is one thing but if you want your customers to come back a second time, you need to give them a good first experience. read more

This was the second time to Blue Burro and we thought the food was very good. My girlfriend and I shared a Ham Egg and Fries breakfast burrito as well as a carne asada. Big burritos! The tortillas were fresh and the fillings flavorful. The salsa bar (you fill those small plastic tubs yourself) tasted homemade: fresh and spicy. The staff are friendly and service was relatively fast. I'm happy to have them here at Bixby Village and hope they succeed. Wingstop before them didn't last long (I never ate there, but frankly I think that chain is largely lousy). read more

So i first tried this place with a few friends from my highschool months ago. I ordered a basic cali burrito and dr. pepper. I dont suggest if u dont wanna be addicted. It was so amazing and i used their special sauce (which might be a dupe for for buffalo spot sauce) and its so bomb. I cant get over it and wont stop asking my mom to take me. anytime i go the cha for tea , i go to blue burro, its tradition now. I also appreciate that mexican workers, cook mexican food. disappointing to be honest I had waited for the right time to try it, I ordered the nachos & the thing was I realized when I ordered the nachos it doesn't come with beans on it. that really sad because anytime you order nachos beans come on nachos it was just sour cream & guacamole & cheese & meat. it impressive food quality yes but beans are very essentials part on nachos also fries were definitely over cooked. you do have to improve that & then I think that the nachos will be very good. the blue horchata was good I will say that but things has to improve & maybe i will give it another shot. read more

Awesome!! Saw a burrito on food beast that they've made before, so we thought we would go in and order. Apparently it's on the secret menu and they were so stoked about us ordering it and making it. We were the first customers to actually order it, and let me tell you this thing was as big as my arm. For burritos that size they usually aren't that good, but this is one of the best burritos I've had period. They were so excited, they came and took our picture with the burrito and everything.
