    MATCHA LATTE
    Marcela O.

Boba the Great lives up to its name! I had the matcha with boba (70% sweet) and it was so smooth, earthy, and clearly made with premium matcha. I also tried their milk tea at the same sweetness level--both drinks were delicious and perfectly balanced. The shop itself is super inviting--colorful with a touch of minimalist design that makes it feel fresh and modern without being overwhelming. It's a cozy spot to hang out or grab a treat on the go. The barista was also amazing! He took his time crafting each drink with care and was really polite and patient while helping me choose. You can tell there's a lot of attention to detail in both the drinks and the service. I'm definitely coming back regularly--can't wait to try the matcha with strawberry next time!

Super cool spot tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Larchmont, but I'm so glad I found it. The decor is very modern and the boba logo is too cute! My server was super nice and asked me about how often I've had boba (the answer: a lot!!). He also recommended some drinks for me, so I opted to order the Classic Black Milk Tea and one of the mojito drinks -- I hadn't seen that on a boba menu before, so I needed to check it out! Both were so good! The Classic Black Milk tea had a nice, strong black tea flavor to it, the boba was nice and chewy, and the mojito was perfect. Highly recommend if you're taking a stroll down Larchmont!

Maybe I'm a total boba snob being from the South Bay, but I thought this place was just okay! Service was solid and ordering was easy but I just felt like something was missing/that my drink was not as good as some of my other fave boba spots. Would probably give it another try but haven't been back yet

Far from "Boba the Great," at least for me. My body is super sensitive to sugar, and this drink hit hard -- overly sweet, with boba that tasted like chemicals left soaking overnight. The tea itself didn't taste fresh either. I even tried watering it down the next day, hoping it would help, but it was still a letdown. I didn't think it was possible to mess up a classic milk tea with boba this badly. The only saving grace? The branding looks cool, and it was a gift. Still, I had to throw it out -- definitely not worth the price. It instantly made my head hurt and my stomach feel queasy. You're better off going to YiFang down the road for better quality at similar pricing. What's confusing is that the rest of my family seemed to enjoy their drinks -- maybe I just got a bad batch?

First time here. I didn't like my Mango tea so they were kind enough to make me something different. I went with the Passionfruit tea without boba which was very good and refreshing on a sunny day. This location is very clean and the employees are nice. You can sit inside if you like. We got ours to go. The wait time was quick. *Plenty of street parking with meters and side street parking for free. Just check the signs for restrictions.

Super delicious boba spot! They've got a huuuuge selection too. Makes for a nice stop on a long walk!

I came to the Sunday Farmer's Market in Larchmont Village. The vicinity boasts many shops and eateries beyond the farmer's market that will appeal to a younger clientele. Boba The Great happens to be situated in a good spot here. I ordered the jasmine milk tea. It had floral and grassy notes with a hint of sweetness. I always use jasmine milk tea as my ultimate benchmark to determine the authenticity and the tea here did not disappoint. Parking may be challenging, but if you drive around, you can still find a metered spot.

Boba the Great just opened in Larchmont and I was excited to try! Loved the decor and aesthetic. Order on the kiosk or if you're not sure, staff can help answer questions. What I enjoyed about Boba the Great (other than the cute mascot) was the ability to choose both my ice level AND sweetness levels. I ordered the classic milk tea with boba. The honey boba was soft, chewy and tasted fresh. I chose 25% sweetness and was able to clearly taste the tea. It was definitely because I chose 2% milk that it was a little bit watery. My reco would be to choose whole milk or a non-dairy option but I can't handle whole milk unfortunately. There was only one person working when I visited and he made all drinks on the spot as ordered so be patient! Service was super friendly and very nice. He asked me to taste it before I leaving to make sure it was the way I liked it and if not he could adjust. Parking available via street meters. I'll return next time I'm in the area.

I had high hopes for this place because it was recommended to me after I described my quest for the best boba in LA. I got my standard oolong milk tea with boba, 2% milk, 50% sweetness. Where are thou nutty oolong flavor? Actually the best boba tapioca I've had in LA thus far -- good chew, brown sugar sweetness without overpowering -- but I can't give more tgat 3 stars because I'm buying a TEA drink and the TEA and OOLONG were both unfortunately missing. Sorry, next.

Cute logo, meh tea. My favorite thing about the place was the funny labels for their straws. We got the ube milk tea and it was a strange flavor that we did not enjoy. Unfortunately could not finish it because of the strange flavor.

Awesome boba cafe nestled in Larchmont Village. Highly recommend the Nutella-choco, if you like a subtle hazelnut, milk based drink. Service was great & quick. Definitely will come back and try the regular milk tea.

Jasmine milk tea with oat milk
    Rebecca T.

Got a jasmine milk tea with oat milk. Service took a while (15 min), despite the shop being empty ofother customers. Portions were more than generous, but unfortunately, the drink was too heavy on the oat milk and could barely taste the jasmine. Maybe it was the drink I ordered, so I hope to give Boba the Great another chance.

Soft Opening and it looks amazing!

I ended up parking about a block away, so prepare for that if you're coming during peak hours. I ordered the Tropical Hibiscus and the Coconut Matcha Einspanner. The Tropical Hibiscus was a great caffeine-free option with a light, citrusy flavor that was really refreshing. The Coconut Matcha Einspanner was the standout. The coconut water made it incredibly refreshing, and the matcha was smooth and light without being too earthy or overpowering. Everything worked well together, and I'd order it again without hesitation. The cafe itself has a clean, modern aesthetic featuring a pretty tree in the middle. They also have a photo booth inside that was fun, although the photo quality looked like it was printed on a receipt which could be a vibe. The music fit the atmosphere well and made the space feel relaxed without being too loud. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab a drink and spend some time with friends. Parking can be a hassle, but the drinks and atmosphere make it worth the trip. I'd definitely come back to work my way through more of the menu.

Similar to much of ktown there isn't that much parking but they have valet if you wanted to post up a bit and enjoy. Be warned that even on a weekday this place is packed. However, they have a good system and even with the lines I got my drink within 5 mins. Shocking as i've seen this taken 10 mins + at other places. I was pleasantly surprised by the space as it had a good amount of seating and while the outdoor space next door isn't officially theirs, people seem to use it as well so it opens up the space. I got their strawberry match since it is the season and it did not disappoint. The strawberry jam was tasty and not too sweet. Also got the double matcha to wake me up even more and I enjoyed it. I did see a lot of others getting their jasmine matcha so I will need to get that next time!
