The Jasmine Green tea is my go to but I've tried a few different things and loved them all. Staff is always nice and my drink is made quickly. Boba the Great on Larchmont had been on my list for a while, so I stopped by after a meal to grab a drink. I ordered the ube milk drink that was labeled as blended, but it was basically just ube and milk. It was fine, nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. The boba was decent, though I have definitely had better. We also tried the mango smoothie, which ended up being the better drink. That said, it tasted like a standard mango smoothie you could get almost anywhere. Overall, the shop felt pretty average. Boba the Great lives up to its name! I had the matcha with boba (70% sweet) and it was so smooth, earthy, and clearly made with premium matcha. I also tried their milk tea at the same sweetness level--both drinks were delicious and perfectly balanced. The shop itself is super inviting--colorful with a touch of minimalist design that makes it feel fresh and modern without being overwhelming. It's a cozy spot to hang out or grab a treat on the go. The barista was also amazing! He took his time crafting each drink with care and was really polite and patient while helping me choose. small shop that is LITERALLY so easy to miss unless you have your eyes PEELED for the shop. it doesn't have the store name out big in the front so my friend and i walked past it 3 times. there are two small benches inside; not ideal for sitting and talking with your friends. we ordered on a kiosk and the only interactions we had with the workers were when they were calling out orders out. the drink was ok! can't say anything about their boba because neither my friend nor i got boba but their signature lemon tea was good. read more

Super cool spot tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Larchmont, but I'm so glad I found it. The decor is very modern and the boba logo is too cute! My server was super nice and asked me about how often I've had boba (the answer: a lot!!). He also recommended some drinks for me, so I opted to order the Classic Black Milk Tea and one of the mojito drinks -- I hadn't seen that on a boba menu before, so I needed to check it out! Both were so good! The Classic Black Milk tea had a nice, strong black tea flavor to it, the boba was nice and chewy, and the mojito was perfect. BEST iced STRAWBERRY MATCHA EVER!!! The name does not do this place justice. Currently it's hard to find because they have no signage on their space as they're rebranding, but go to the address and you will be pleasantly surprised, I promise!!! It's very clean and you can see the quality of teas and quality matcha here. They use the bamboo whisk to mix it just right... and they make all of their own syrups from scratch. My favorites, which is the strawberry...they use fresh strawberries and create this incredibly delicious concoction that is the best on the street!!! If people knew, there would be a line up out the door non stop. I highly recommend them and the service is fantastic. I didn't think it was possible to mess up a classic milk tea with boba this badly. The only saving grace? The branding looks cool, and it was a gift. You're better off going to YiFang down the road for better quality at similar pricing. I always try new boba shops wherever I go. I am so glad I popped by Boba the Great while I was in the area. I got the signature milk tea without boba. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the drink was! Each order is handcrafted and brewed individually, which can be a long wait if there are a bunch of people ordering at once. There was only one employee, so I can imagine it would be overwhelming to make so many orders all at once. Luckily, I was the only one there when I placed my order. I ordered the 16oz, but it was so good that I wish I'd gotten the 24oz. I would definitely recommend BtG if you're in the area!! What I enjoyed about Boba the Great (other than the cute mascot) was the ability to choose both my ice level AND sweetness levels. I ordered the classic milk tea with boba. The honey boba was soft, chewy and tasted fresh. I chose 25% sweetness and was able to clearly taste the tea. It was definitely because I chose 2% milk that it was a little bit watery. My reco would be to choose whole milk or a non-dairy option but I can't handle whole milk unfortunately. There was only one person working when I visited and he made all drinks on the spot as ordered so be patient! Service was super friendly and very nice. Raspberry matcha latte? Say less! I feel like strawberry has been THAT GIRL for awhile and then I came across a blueberry matcha latte at Matte Black Coffee and now behold, raspberry! Who got blackberry next?! The raspberry puree was a nice touch to the matcha latte. I got it with soy milk, so my drink was more thick than usual - but I didn't hate it. I let the ice kinda dilute it for a few mins and it was good to go! I enjoyed the attention to detail as the barista(s) asked for me to do a taste test to ensure I liked what I got when they gave me my drink. I def want to come back to try other drinks here. Very excited to have a boba shop in LV so close to where we work so needed to try. Didn't disappoint. I ordered the matcha latte with boba and I thought the portion was decent and the flavor was great and tasted like authentic matcha powder. The boba itself was also fantastic. Still a little warm and syrupy when I got my drink and had a good chew to it too. My friend said hojicha was also good with a strong tea flavor so I think it's a good choice if you don't like sweet drinks. sigh I have MAJOR buyer's remorse over this purchase Having worked in a milk tea store myself before, I would consider myself a fair judge of boba. As a ritual, I start off by ordering a standard black milk tea with boba to judge how well a store can do the basics. Upon entering the store, none of the drinks had prices on the menu. It wasn't until after I ordered that I realized the total came out to be a $8.5+ for a black milk tea with boba. Which is pretty CRAZY even for more expensive boba places. The black milk tea I ordered was extremely watered down and not sweet at all, despite ordering full sweetness. I had to add additional tea and sweetener when I got home. All in all, sad to say but will not be returning here :( read more

This place is on the busy street next to the rest of the local businesses! The place is warm and welcoming. The menu is easy to navigate. The staff are super friendly and greet you on the way in as well as on the way out. I got the Jasmine Assam - my go-to for judging the tea quality at any place. It was so fresh and not even a little bitter. Perfectly steeped and cooled by the time it made it to our hands. The other drink we got was the Jasmine Mango. I expected it to be very sweet like the workers BUT it was just as refreshing and not overly mango sweet. Cool little cubicle seating in the corner to soak up some sun while enjoying your drink. The restaurant is also very clean and efficient, they have a little ordering pad that makes ordering easy and you can make any of the drinks vegan they had a lot of milk options. The staff is so friendly and happy to give recommendations. It is a cleanly curated space. Their signature tea was unlike any drink I've tried before. It was subtly sweet and comforting due to its vanilla, but also refreshing due to the citrus notes. A perfect summer drink! Their milk tea was also very good. Super fresh and doesn't taste like powder tea, which is what is served at many boba spots in LA. The texture of their boba is balanced- not too sweet, perfect tenderness, 10/10. I'm super stoked on their addition on Larchmont. I believe it'll be something exciting for those who've never had boba to try and something boba lovers will approve of as well. It's great to see a Boba place break into Larchmont, and this place is such a solid place to stop by for a drink! I got their signature milk tea with boba, jasmine strawberry tea, and signature iced tea. I liked that their strawberry tea was used using real strawberry puree and the taste of the jasmine was crisp and came through. Their signature ice tea is great! Definitely different than your typical iced tea. It's a black tea with a good balance of a lemony citrus with hints of vanilla sweetness. I'd highly suggest trying this if you like those flavors. I don't normally prefer milk tea, but the Boba was a huge plus here. It's a cute looking place, but there are no table sitting area. It's more of a grab and go type of place.
