I just recently moved to NM and prior had been vising weeks at a time over the past 2 years. I've heard of Bob's and driven passed it all the time since it's right down the street from my girlfriend. We were lazy and decided to get takeout on a Saturday night and hit up the drive thru. Unfortunately it does look closed in the evening because of the lighting of the signage and the parking lot. I've heard people talk about the taco Burger and the sign says home of the Ranchero and I got both. Let me start my saying I expected the tacos to be ground beef with a burger seasoning or something like that, but it's a taco with a burger patty. My Ranchero burger was really plain, bland, and the bun was way too soft. The chilli cheese fries were also average. Overall my food was fine, nothing was bad, but it felt like there was so flavor or seasoning. I was really underwhelmed and was expecting to be wow'd for some reason. Service was great with no issues with the drive thru. I can now say I tried Bob's... But just know the taco Burger is a burger patty in a taco shell, not a burger flavored taco. read more

Bob's Burgers is my go to; the combo e is delicious, so is the ranchero burger. The portions are good sized. Excellent customer service, I didn't eat inside, but when I do it's always clean, well lit and good music is playing. Hate to give poor reviews but this place needs to wake up and maybe this will help. Workers are lazy as hell here. They will ignore you and go about their business. There were three behind the counter and only one finally asked if I needed help. Ordered a small frito pie. It was prepared quickly, that is a plus. Not anything special at all. Chili is like what I would expect on a chili dog. I had hoped for better, but the chili does have a kick to it. Chopped onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. On the soda machine there is a sign that says refills $.75. Really, they pay $.10 for drinks from the soda machine and charge the customer over $2.30 for a drink. They already made their money back. Is this the same at all Bob's where you are asked to pay &.75 for a refill? I'd like to know or is this location doing their own thing. Lot of people at work say go to bob's. Maybe they mean in Albuquerque because the Rio Rancho one is not one that stands out. I do think they keep the place clean L. It is good they have music playing 80's and 90's . I would give a negative 10 stars if I could. The manager Christopher has no people skills and no business being a manager. I ordered a chile dog with no onions or cheese. It came laden with onions. I am allergic to onions. Absolutely unacceptable. I do not recommend ever coming to this location. Stay away. Excuse after excuse. You have to come back for a refund. Food is ok when they get your order right. The burger patties are very small, smaller than McDonalds. They hold the red chili on everything and add so much cheese it's diperportioned. If you placing an order to go, tell them is for dinning in. Then check the order then ask for a to go bag. They will never get it right if your ordering more than 1 item. During my visit to Albuquerque, I had to stop by Bob's for the famous Taco Burger that everyone raves about. Bob's is a Mexican fast food chain. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During my visit, I came here twice. I ordered 2 taco burgers, onion rings, frito pie, and the apple bites. The taco burger was pretty good. It's a burger inside of a hard taco shell, with cheese, green chile, and lettuce. It was good. The burger pattie could have been bigger, it was pretty thin. Not enough meat and a whole lotta shell. The Chile sauce was a great touch to the taco burger. Without it, it would be pretty dry. The frito pie is not my thing. It's pretty much chilli and cheese on top of Frito Lays chips. It is not something I would try again. It's a weird combination. The onion rings were overcooked and dry. The apple bites were pretty good. It's like little miniature apple pies with cinnamon and sugar on top. I also stopped by for breakfast the next day and tried the breakfast burrito. It is made up of hash browns, eggs, cheese, and sausage or bacon wrapped in a tortilla. I was not too fond of the breakfast burrito. Not something I would try again. Overall, it is fast food on the go and inexpensive. Nothing to write home about. It's great for kids. My daughter loved it. read more

Have always loved getting taco burgers from Bob's Burger. I got my first taco burgers from this place back in high school and they were delicious, but not this time. It taste so stale and no enough chile sauce or cheese on it. It was so POORLY MADE. ALSO, there was a girl there that didn't greet us and was not friendly at all when I said hi. Worst customer service ever!!! After sitting in the drive through lane for nearly 30 minutes I finally got my food. When I advised the girl that something in my order was missing she told me I had to get back in line, that they close in 5 minutes (meaning I wouldn't make it back to the window on time) and then she slammed the window on my face. Tried their breakfast burrito, bacon, for the first time. Mostly potatoes that were bland. Bacon was good and gave the burrito some flavor. I had to add plenty of salt to enhance the flavor profile. I haven't ever been inside of this place, so my review is solely based on the drive-thru. I ordered two breakfast burritos and some hash browns because I have a potato addiction. The wait was moderate, a little longer than your chain place, but not so bad as other local chains nearby (looking at you Little Anita's). My sister and I both enjoyed our burritos, but we did get the wrong type. I didn't notice until I got to my parent's house that it was incorrect, but they were still good. I had ordered two green chili bacon burritos and got sausage. The hash browns were great! I got chili on the side for them because the first time I came here, it was too hot! As much as I love locally owned burger joints, Bob's left a lot to be desired tonight. The menu is quite similar to what you'll find at Blake's Lotaburger but that's where the similarity ends. I ordered the Ranchero Burger which comes with their specialty green chile sauce on it. The sauce has a good flavor and won't be too hot for you if you're accustomed to New Mexican food. I was sorely disappointed when I looked at the burger, though - my slice of tomato was thicker than the meat patty itself. There wasn't any overwhelming flavor to the burger other than the tomato slice and the chile sauce. If you're thinking Bob's, do yourself a favor and go to Blake's. read more

Bob's is a MUST when visiting the Albuquerque area. It's not fancy, it's just good food. For me, the taco burger is my favorite. I have tried several things on the menu, but the taco burger is my go to! The jewel of Bob's is the green chili! It's not just chopped chili, it's more of a thick green chili gravy...I could eat a bowl of it on its own! They have different specials every day too. They are open for breakfast as well! I would really like to give the customer service a 0 star. Their online hours say they are open from 7:30-9pm, but every time we call in the morning for a breakfast burrito at 8:30, they say they don't open till 9. This has happened twice, but now we called at 9 and apparently they don't open till 9:30. You can not decide when to open on your own time, it's extremely rude and lazy. So disappointed! This is definitely a good local favorite. The menu has a good variety of items from their well-known taco burgers with green or red Chile, taquito boats( beef or chicken-I'd recommend the former), to cheese fries and cheeseburgers. We usually enjoy their taco burgers, which come with meat, cheese, chili, and lettuce. They can be ordered customized as you wish. For those less accustomed to Chile, theirs can be unpredictable at times and can be VERY spicy. If you are not too familiar with Chile or are not too adventurous, I'd recommend getting it on the side. On taco Tuesday, one of their busiest days, in my opinion, the line can be ridiculously long, but the food is usually worth the wait. I do wish they would improve that part of the order experience and also update the inside of the restaurant. It does look a bit dated for the times. This place has gotten worse and worse! Wife went to the drive-through and bought $45 worth of a few taco burgers, two burgers and chili cheese fries. Very expensive for what you get. To make it worse she gets all the way home opens up the bags and we're missing a bacon burger, an order of taquitos, a side of green chili and salsa so we call back in to let Bob's know. The manager gets on the phone and proceeds to argue with me. After we finally get across what we were missing she tells me to make up for the inconvenience of having to go all the way back she will just give us a full dozen order of taquitos. Still not worth it as we didn't need them, but fine at least you tried. My wife goes all the way back and when she gets there the lady argues with her and didn't give her the extra taquitos like she offered to and tells my wife there now you have everything you ordered. In a time when local businesses need all the help they can get they should be treating the people that are still willing to spend money at their local shops much better then they are especially when Bobs employees are the ones that made the mistake. Had the Ranchero Burger. Pretty average burger. The patty was thin and dry. Lettuce was shredded and falling all over the place. Bread was pretty decent though. The only redeeming thing about this burger was the green chile added to make it spicy and HOT. French fries were decent. Bob's actually only serves 2 kinds of burgers. The ranchero, and the original. The rest of the stuff on their menu consisted of things like hot dogs, nachos, and various forms of mexican food. Although I wasn't impressed with their burger, I would like to go back and sample the other things on their menu. If I do, I will be sure to update this review with the good OR bad news! read more

I'm going to start off by saying that I cannot eat fast food, I have a very sensitive stomach and the poor quality of the food always makes me sick. That being said when my cousin and I drove past we figured we had to stop, seeing as how we're both fans of the show Bob's burgers. Now going into it we knew they wouldn't be the same, however I was just hoping that it wasn't as fast of food as it looked. But two bites in proved me wrong, I could feel myself getting sick. And that made for an uncomfortable half an hour ride back to her house. I ended up taking the almost whole burger back to her brother because he's a teen boy that will eat just about anything. But I would definitely never go back, I feel like they're just as bad as McDonald's or any other fast food place out there. TLDR: If you're like me and don't and or can't eat fast food, don't go here. Really I would tell everyone not to go here, but I know that some people enjoy fast food. read more

We have always gone in to eat inside. Has always been a relaxed atmosphere. Most of the food is cooked to order, so there is a bit longer wait. It's a shame that Bob's Burgers has great food because their customer service is the worst! I've been to this location often and only encountered ONE nice person. The girl who handed me by food tonight through the drive-thru was so rude! When she handed me two differently sized drinks, I asked why because I didn't specify a different size between the two meals. I was very kind about my question, and she replied in a condescending tone that I'd ordered a meal that came with a large drink. I said, "Oh sorry, I didn't realise." And she rolled her eyes at me. When she handed my food, I asked if I could please get some ketchup packets, and she said "In the bag" and shut the window in my face. No smile. No please or thank you. This girl was by far the worst, but not the only rude teenager that works at this location. They often forget parts of the order too.
