We came here for the first time, and I can say that this was a surprisingly good time. They have so much variety and flavor with their items, and some interesting options on the menu, like the Pesto Noodles and the Toasted Almonds. Amazing service too, especially since we were a group of 4. The ambience is no different than amazing, in a blue toned wall and bright lighting. Today was my first visit to Bolay. The food was fresh, fast, healthy, and tasteful. I had the cilantro noodles with 2 sides- broccoli and mixed beans- plus an added protein- beef, and topped with fresh cilantro and Parmesan cheese. I could pick a sauce to top it off and I picked the cilantro pesto. There were choices of juices and other beverages , but I had my own water so I didn't get any. This is Bolay's second Boca location. Like the first, and every Bolay location I have been to, the space is fresh looking and immaculate. I have always been a fan of Bolay: Fast food reinvented as fresh and healthy! I have to admit though, I am getting a little tired of "bowls". Also, the flavors I once found "bold" at Bolay seem over seasoned. Don't get me wrong, I will still pick Bolay any day over most "fast food" options. I'm just not sure if the food there is getting saltier or my palate is tiring of it. The staff was friendly and perky. If you are undecided about an item by all means ask for a taste. Of course, what I love about Bolay compare to competitors is that they will substitute a veggie for a base. I was able to attend the soft opening for Bolay in South Boca yesterday. It was a fun experience. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They came around with drink refills. The drinks at this restaurant are not your typical sodas. They serve very fresh teas. Most of the flavors are ones I've never heard of. I ended up just sitting with soda. I tried the root beer which I was not a fan of and then I tried the draft cola. This one was the winner for me. I believe all of their sodas are made with cane sugar so it is somewhat healthier than the traditional sofas. I ordered a large steak and shrimp bowl with cilantro noodles and seasoned potatoes. I also had mushrooms and ginger broccoli. None of the steak or shrimp was hot and neither were the seasoned potatoes. In fact, none of them were even warm. I was actually the fourth or fifth person online so it is not as if the food was sitting there a long time. I prefer my hot foods at least warm. The ball was very fresh and had a lot of flavor. I think the potatoes could have use more seasoning. The snickerdoodle cookie was a nice ending to this fun lunch. It was fresh and not overly sweet. This restaurant is beautifully decorated and feels very fresh and relaxing. I will stop by again when I'm in the area. read more

I love coming here for lunch! A few reasons why. There is this incredible breath of fresh air walking in to this clean and brand new spot. From the open lighting the restaurant takes in, to the colors and decor of their restaurant, there's a sense of comfort being here. The line is easy to find and the workers are super kind treating you like a guest in their home. Bolay offers a variety of gluten free and healthy options. The open kitchen and assembly line gets you in and out fairly quickly. Thus opening up my lunch hour where I can enjoy my conversation and not feel rushed to get back to work. Their customizable small bols for $8 are enough for a lunch portion and incredibly delicious. You would never be able to tell that you're eating healthy! They don't serve soda but they do serve a variety of teas and juices. read more

Bolay is always a great meal when you're in a time crunch. The staff is efficient and there is a decent variety of food options. The forbidden rice, spicy sweet potato noodles, and tofu are staples in my selection. The chef choices are also great...my girlfriend loves the Baja lemon chicken bowl. My only criticism is that the servings are sometime inconsistent depending on who makes the meal and they no longer use fresh avocados. I always love this place it's amazing!!!! I love the variety of veggies I get! I wish they had more vegan protein options if possible. I'm only docking off a star because they started charging for tofu recently and like whaaaa!!! Am I supposed to get for protein for vegan eaters not fair that the only option for vegans is charged extra not cool you guys!!! I also noticed the sweet potato noodles the last two times I got them weren't seasoned as good as usual! I'm disappointed in that but overall it's not always like that with the noodles. I love Bolay and would have given five stars but there are a couple of things that have annoyed. Depending on who makes your bowl makes a huge difference. Before Covid I was there 3-4 times a week. I get the same thing all the time. I find it absurd that they now charge an extra dollar for tofu. Tofu is not in short supply, the price hasn't changed in the market. I get tofu weekly at Whole Foods and no price change, so why now? I understand shrimp, chicken, steak. That aside I love the freshness and all the flavors of the food. My go to is cilantro rice noodles, broccoli,Brussels sprouts when available and tofu. read more

This is my first Bolay experience and I'm impressed by the fresh choices. I enjoyed the taste of my regular Bolay bowl which had a kale base, roasted potatoes and sautéed zucchini as my 2 vegetable options and teriyaki chicken as my protein. I added, FOR A FEE, seasoned grape tomatoes .50$ and a 1/2 avocado 1.50$. Pros: loved the freshness and taste , especially my avocado. Cons: vegetable option are slim(6) ; I would have like a marinated chopped onion/ tomato selection and a sautéed red peppers as a choice. The option of corn as a vegetable choice cheapens the Bolay experience. Ginger broccoli is an option but I would have had to wait 3-4 minutes , as well as the shrimp option for protein. The wait is not a big issue and assures freshness but my lunch break is very limited and I couldn't wait . It's definitely a tasty lunch and I will return. Clean, somewhat quick, and delicious. I visited this place once for lunch and the wait was surprisingly long. It was probably no more than 10 to 15 minutes to get through the line. Since then I've ordered ahead for pick up. It's always ready and the quickest option. The quality of food is always fresh. I do find them expensive. Around $9 for a small bowl and around $11 for a large. The store is located in a plaza connected to other stories. Lots of parking options. Getting into the plaza can be a bit challenging since it's off of palmetto on an intersection that can be very busy. read more

I must say, I had the distinct pleasure of visiting this Bolay after a solid workout and was lucky enough to be greeted by a nice young woman named Tara, who prepared my order. It was one of the rare slow days at this particular location, but she seemed unaffected by that and just as eager to prepare my order. Once my black rice was prepared, she swung my bowl on over to her colleague Peyton, who handled things from there. She was just as enthusiastic despite having just arrived there to start her shift. I found that admirable as Wednesday afternoons tend to be peak Hump Day, and a lag in attitude is naturally expected. Not so with these two. One of them even told me a hilarious dad joke while preparing my teriyaki chicken. "What do you call a deer with no eyes?" "No-eye deer [no idea]." Hey look, it was a dad joke. It was meant to be cringe. I loved it. Nicely done, Peyton. In any case, this pleasant service was matched only by how delicious the food was--and healthy too!
