They have stepped their game up like no other and the young gentleman who took my order was so professional and polite and just all around amazing at customer service, I was blown away. He gave me really good portions and was very patient and helpful. I got the build your own bowl with the noodles and kale salad. For my veggies, I did brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes, which were absolutely incredible. My proteins were teriyaki and lemon chicken, both of which were cooked to perfection. It was the most beautiful bowl I've ever received, and it was so delicious. Pro tip you can combine the pesto sauce with the tomatoes on the side and have a little dipping tray and it's amazing. The restaurant is always vibrant and clean and there's lots of seating for small and big parties alike. Considering the ball only cost $12 and tasted incredibly. I had lunch at Bolay for the first time and really enjoyed it! I created my own bowl with sweet potato noodles, teriyaki chicken (which was very tasty), and some vegetables. I didn't take a photo, but the food was excellent! I ordered it as a take out. But place was very nice. I had an office event that was a massive headache to organize happening on a Monday. Midday Friday I realized, "OH SHOOT, I don't have food" I planned to get salads and deli food cause it's quick, but a vegan in the group complained about only having salads. I wanted to try their RainBol and asked if I could split the jasmine rice base into half rice, half kale salad. The answer came back no as it's only one base for that price. Okay. I get it. You can do a 4 option bowl or 6 option. A variety of bases, veggies, and proteins. A great perk is the free toppings at the end which I always go for the pickled onions. The price is pretty reasonable ranging $10-$15 on average. I get 2 meals out of the 6 bowl. There are other options besides just bowls - I seen many inside eating wraps. The inside of this location was super clean and the staff greeted you with a smile which makes all the difference. I wanted to try a healthier option for lunch so I ordered Bolay to give it a try. I have been wanting to try if for a while since the prices are reasonable and the food looks good. I created my own regular bowl. It comes with a good amount of food and they gave me more chicken then I thought they would. Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy this meal. The Lemon Chicken had good flavor but tasted like fatty pieces of chicken. The Chimichurri Tomatoes didn't taste fresh nor did the Zucchini. Neither had any bite to them just mushy veggies. The Pesto Noodles were okay but I wish they were more al dente. The Kale Salad was alright. The Herb Pesto Sauce was good but very oily. I did enjoy the Agua Fresca it wasn't too sweet. Holay Molay! I've enjoyed Bolay so many times in the past. It can still be good, however, I have problems with their food NOT BEING HOT!!! This happens at other locations too. It would be 5 stars if they could just consistently serve hot food. When you "walk the line" to build your bowl, it all looks amazing in these wide shallow serving vessels, but there's so much surface area exposed to the air. They recently (early 2023) re-did how you order with the bases and greens, but I think you can mix and match in the bowl. I don't have a Ph. D so you'll have to order at your own risk. With that being said, you can get some really good stuff. The sweet potato noodle/power bean combo really does it for me. I'll add chicken or tofu with some kind of sauce that almost goes with everything. Their shrimp is good too. It's also pretty Vegan and Gluten Free friendly. Their Allergen Guide on their website is one of the easiest to read! It's a good option, but it's not quite the game of Hot or Not that I want to play. But load me up with those Power Beans any day of the week, just not before a long trip! Power beans and room temperature shrimp could be an ugly mess! read more

What I ended up with tasted ok, but didn't really work as well as I think it could. If there is a next time, I would skip out on the sauce, stick to rice and maybe a protein or veggies only. The only problem is I don't believe they have nutrition information posted anywhere yet; at least not when I checked last, which is surprising because the type of people that would go here are very interesting macros. every time I've been there the food is always fresh and super flavorful. I absolutely love bolay! I moved really close to bolay about a year ago and it's my go to. All the items are very fresh and I'm never disappointed. I normally get the large bowl with sweet potato and cilantro noodles as my base. I get the balsamic mushrooms, power beans and I get the lemon chicken as my protein. I top off my bowl with the house made siracha and the pesto sauce! It's a big bowl and they always write nice messages on top of the lid to brighten up your day!
