I got my order of 3 entrees within 10 min, which suggests that the service was incredibly fast. The customer service was good too and the food was delicious. I highly suggest the build your own Korean BBQ bowl with Japchae and spicy pork as the base and for the meat. The meat was tender and flavorful too. I was not as big of a fan for the build your own ramen bowl as dining in would probably be much better than take out. However, the normal Korean BBQ bowl was very worth it. I am wrong this review as I am enjoying their delicious Korean BBQ chicken bowl with noodles. This is my second visit. I really like the concept of the place. It's fast casual, great to grab a quick lunch or dinner. They have about 4 tables as well as high stool seating of abut 15 stools. I haven't seen any fast casual Korean spots around DFW so they may have found a niche here. The food is amazing!!! I really like their cilantro aioli sauce. I love the slightly sweet taste. Just by chance I found this new place on my yelp and decided why not, none of us have been here before so lets give it a shot. I am SO glad that I did. This is a nice tiny restaurant with an open kitchen ( you can literally see them making your food) The menu has a build your own ramen or build your own rice bowl. On top of that it has a prefixed menu of different types of ramen, rice bowls, and (my favorite) KIMCHI fries! I love the build your own bowl/ramen concept. Looking for a nearby noodle place. This one just happened to show up at the top of the list. They have a diverse selection of broths and other items if you do not want ramen. Cozy place. I was a bit disappointed that Kor-b-q was no longer, but this place is perhaps even better. Bols does the Korean style tacos and also has expanded on its predecessor with ramen, bibimbap, katsu, and bbq plates. I had the kimchi ramen and it was delicious. It was a bit spicier than expected, but pleasantly so. The broth was rich and there was no shortage of veggies. The part that impressed me most was the spicy pork. Unlike some ramen places where the meat is just like boiled meat, you can tell this was barbequed. The flavor was excellent all-around. And of course it was topped off with a nice soft-boiled egg. Chicken was juicy, breading was good, and loved the rice with the over easy egg. Not sure what the pink stuff was and just avoided it, which was easy to do for other picky eaters. Was looking for food in the area that wasn't fast food or fried. Saw that this place opened recently, decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad that I did! The place is rather small from the get-go. There are four tables in the front - one table can seat two people each and the other three can seat four each. Along the side, moving towards the back, there's bar seating against the wall. You order at the front and pick up food towards the back. I ordered the bibimbap, bols fries (with kimchi), and got a bottle of coke to go. If I had any hesitation regarding difference in portions between dining in and getting food to go, it totally went out the window. The amount of food they gave is easily enough for two people and they also included miso soup on top of the order. The bulgogi beef in both the fries and bibimbap was tender and and lean, which was a plus. For the price, the food was not bad at all. I would definitely go back again to try out the rest of their menu and recommend people check it out if they're in the area. Edit: Went back again and in addition to Bibimbap, I also ordered the BBQ Combo (with beef and spicy chicken) and takoyaki (fried octopus balls). I was most excited for the takoyaki since it's been hard finding a place around here with decent takoyaki. The places I've been going to for my takoyaki fix were either Yatai Ramen Izakaya or Mitsuwa, but they're further out and even then they can be a hit or miss (too little sauce, not enough bonito flakes, too soggy, etc). From the looks of the order, they don't skimp on the sauce and the flakes here, so that's awesome to see. It would've been nice to have more seaweed flakes, but that's negligible. Taste-wise, it wasn't bad - not too soggy or overcooked. While it's not the best, it's definitely enough to satisfy any takoyaki cravings. The BBQ Combo gave a decent amount of meat in proportion to the rice and noodles. The beef is the same used in the Bibimbap and has lots of flavor. The chicken wasn't dry and was mildly spicy - enough to add flavor, but not enough to burn your tongue. A very surprising experience for me and my cousin. We ordered the Miso Chasu and Miso Chicken and both were absolutely excellent. Although I was kind of skeptical at first from the appearance of the spot, I was definitely in awe when I got my food. Everything tasted great and I really recommend the Fried Squid Legs. The mayo was absolutely fire. I was reading some reviews and was in disgust by some of the reviews left by some people. People were praising the food but were giving the place 2-3 stars because the location is small -______- Places like these are more closely compared to spots in Japan. I really like this place. The only reason this review is not 5 stars is because of the service. Typically when I walk in, even for a takeout order, there is someone to greet me and hand me my order. That frustrated me a little, because if someone had taken my order, I wouldn't have gotten my food. Okay, with that out of the way, the food here was great! I grabbed a Chicken Bun and BBQ Beef Bibimbap with an added sunny side up egg and white rice. Wow! The chicken bun had good flavor, and the bun was so soft! The Bibimbap was a HUGE portion! I shared it with my mother, and we still had a third if it left. I really liked how they added a bunch of different things to it. When all mixed up, each bite had so many different flavors! Bols is tucked away in the "just past Carrollton" area and is a true gem of Plano. I love the customization of it all, it really aids you in choosing what you're about to consume. Personally, I like to pack on the veggies and finish off with their delightfully bitter Kimchi and Spicy Pork Belly. The location itself is somewhat hidden away, but the parking is plentiful. Do watch out for drivers here though, although I was parked someone drove into my car while it was in the spot...sadly the location had no video cameras to show what had happened, but at least I had a good meal afterwards! read more

The kimchi ramen had a kick to it (other ramen places we've been to sometimes advertise as spicy but then I don't find it very spicy) and the tonkatsu ramen was also tasty. We had a chicken and beef taco which were also both flavorful and juicy. The beef taco marinade tasted like Vietnamese thit nuong. If you like a saucey chicken katsu then this is your place. They drench it in sauce and also give you a side of sauce. I however don't prefer a ton of sauce on my katsu so I wasn't a huge fan. The sauce was sweeter than I like too. My sister had the ramen which i had a bite of and while i would eat it again it wouldnt be my number one ramen choice. This place would be hard to eat at with a large party because dining area is small and the largest tables were 4 people. I have been almost depressed about the idea of not eating ramen again since almost all ramen is wheat based.
