Overall first time experience was ok. We had three different servers in the first 10 minutes we were there. It is way to loud in the restaurant. My wife had to almost yell at each other to have a discussion. Should have sat on the patio. The traffic on 114 couldn't have been near as loud. I had the spicy poblano pepper smash burger. Either make the burger spicy or take spicy out of the name. So disappointed. My wife had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. She said the chicken reminded her of the processed, frozen, rubbery chicken patties from Sam's Club. I had a bite and I totally agree. Cotton Patch Cafe has a MUCH BETTER Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and they use a real chicken breast. Not the processed, frozen crap Boomerjacks uses. The upside to the evening was Dos Equis on tap for 2 dollars. I figure I'll get zero response from Boomerjacks as they are more focused on the bar part of their name and not the grill part. Just rename it to Boomerjacks Bar and Crap Food. Did I mention I was up most of the night with probable food poisoning? I can't give zero stars or negative 1 million stars. read more

The bartender who was working last night around 7pm provided no customer service. She never even acknowledged that I was there. There were only a handful of guests at the bar so she was not very busy. When I asked about getting a drink she used a snarky, sarcastic tone to tell me she was making a drink for another patron. The problem was in the five minutes I sat at the bar she hadn't poured a beer or made a drink for anyone. She was just standing at the other end of the bar chatting with what I assumed to be a regular. She walked past me twice. There was no excuse for her behavior and if that's how she treats guests at the bar, then maybe guest service isn't for her. Someone who appeared to be a manager, stood next to the bar the whole time and never addressed me or the bartender either. Not that they will notice or even care, but I will not go back to that bar! read more

I come to BoomerJack's because it's a "go to" place for me. I've lived in Grapevine most of my life and frequent the BoomerJack's around DFW. Unfortunately, last night the service was horrible as the server was inattentive and rude. I was catching up with an old friend that I have not seen in a long time, and these were our first drinks of the day. He ordered a shot as his second drink and when the server brought it, he asked "are you ok?" to my friend, which was incredibly impolite and so, so rude. It quickly became awkward and ruined the good vibe. We were not displaying any behavior or conversation that would lead anyone to believe that he wasn't okay. Then when we were trying to pay, the server was standing against a wall, socializing with his coworkers, laughing and playing. We tried to remain patient, but we quickly wanted to leave. My friend had to walk his credit card over to the server to pay out. Super disappointing and really appalled at this server. I wished I would have said something to management, but I hope that people think twice before going here for the service. Next time, I'll be going to Flips where the servers are friendly, attentive, and make me feel welcome. read more

Not cool, man. Crowded Friday lunch. Everyone is here to see the baseball game. The bar is loaded except two stools with water in front of them for almost an hour. Since when does it make sense to reserve bar seating. I mean, one guy was saving seats for his buddies? Only one of which bothered to even show up. Instead of sitting inside and watching the game in the AC I had to sit outside at the bar like a second class customer facing two empty seats for most of the time I was there. I would think if someone wanted to reserve seating during a lunch rush you would suggest he get a 4-top table. Total BS!!! Won't be back. We went during happy hour and it was a happening place. Food was alright - nothing special but not bad. Best happy hour small plate was the small burgers. Don't get the nachos- just chips with a LITTLE bit of cheese and a few other toppings. VERY loud - too loud for me but most seemed to be loving the loud music and loud chatter. Noticed that the back room was much quieter than the main area so if I ever go back I will definitely request to be seated in there. read more

I believe our server's name was Brandon and there was not a long wait or anything! We got sat right away, he came by our table right when we sat, got our drinks right after we ordered, appetizer probably took 10 minutes maybe, and our food came out soon after! Tried a different dish yesterday as was not impressed at all. Sizzling Queso Chicken What Queso? You couldn't see it because it was so thin I flowed under the food and stuck to the skillet. No carrots in the picture because they were all on my plate. Very little flavor in the whole meal. Add a lot of salt,,,which I very seldom do. The broccoli was the only good part. Again picture shows it covered in cheese. Not a single pieces had a drop of cheese on it. That is actually fine with me though. Service was great though. This is the first bad meal I have ever had here so I will be back often. I've been here several times since it opened. There is no shortness of wait staff which I find is always a problem when new restaurants open. The food is consistent, and the drinks are good too. I mean you can't really ruin beer. I always get the potato skins. I find a lot of restaurants don't serve them anymore and if they do, they don't have chives. Boomers has great skins with chives and when you pair it with ranch, you can't go wrong. The one thing I say every time I leave is that I'm still impressed with the consistent service. Every server I've had has been attentive, nice and professional. The place is huge and I've never had to wait for a table. Went to check out the newest sport's bar in Grapevine tonight- The best thing about tonight's experience was our server, Brandon- very friendly & understanding, considering an issue we had. Chicken finger meal was delicious. The Cajun catfish was very blah (not what was expected for Cajun seasoning). Unfortunately our issue is over a $.99 charge on their menu. Sweet potato fries were listed as a side dish. NOWHERE on that page is that side listed as a 'premium' item- The manager tried to justify the charge, stating that it does appear elsewhere on the 'burger' page. He subsequently refused to take the charge off- That manager could have resolved this issue with a 'one time' adjustment. He refused to accept that their menu is flawed. Was this $.99 issue worth having an unsatisfied customer? read more

The food was good! Those are the two stars. The back of house staff DEFINITELY gets the shout out! The mozzarella sticks were SO stringy, and the wings were outstanding! Way to go kitchen staff! The front of house? Absolutely not. We had two servers on a party of 8. Another party walked in after, with 10 people, and they had one server and SO much better service! It took them over 30 minutes to get 3 of our people their drinks, and they STILL made them pay for it! Our food took about 40 minutes, as well. I'm pretty sure some food came BEFORE the FIRST ROUND of drinks. I get if they're new, but don't put two new servers on a party by themselves to have them switch servers on us in the middle of service, while the other table gets flawless service their entire time. The manager also only checked in once, which didn't include an apology. Other than that, the food is delicious! The drink specials are pretty affordable, as well! This is basically a bar but much louder and rowdy than Hooters! The drink specials are cheap & strong so if your goal is to get drunk off your ass then this is your place. I ordered the Parmesan garlic chicken wings and a side salad. The side salad was generous but the wings tasted like they only had butter on them I couldn't taste any garlic or Parmesan. I'd rather go to Duffs or Hooters for the garlic Parmesan wings. We also got the queso which was delish and recommend if you eat here. Seriously it was so loud in here (we were seated at a table not in the bar area) that we couldn't have a conversation without both yelling and repeating. Rather annoying since I was with my family. We were also sat right by the out door to the kitchen and watched 4 people almost get knocked over by a server rapidly banging the door open.....2 of them were patrons being seated. Probably won't go back on a Friday night unless it is just the Hubs and I and we want to just play on our phones the whole time. It is good for people watching, if you are into that! The man behind us totally walked out on his bill without paying (so loud and busy it probably was easy to do) and that distracted our waitress for a bit while she was trying to figure out if he went to the bathroom, bar or left. I don't blame her for this since I'm sure it comes out of her check. Throughout the whole meal we had to listen to the party next to us plan on where they were going when they got kicked out of BoomerJack's for being too drunk. Apparently this was a common occurrence for them so at least they had a plan ......just hope no one in that party was driving . Lastly, I think if the kitchen staff has to wear hair nets then the wait staff should have to pull their hair back out of their face. Honestly I can't count the times our waitress ran her hands through her almost waist length hair every time she was at our table checking on us (GROSS).... then she brought our drinks .
