The renovations were most welcome and I personally love the new look: upstairs and downstairs. Loved eating at the bar. Famished. almost ordered an artichoke dip and spinach app and a main course but that would have gotten the bar patrons thinking I am just one of those "overeaters". Of course, I had to make my salad a "harry met sally" drama. I ordered the Chop Salad. 86 the bacon. 86 the chicken and add grilled shrimp. Dressing on the side. Eye roll please. My bartender/server just smiled - business as usual and she was great. The salad arrived just as I ordered it and it was fantastic!! This place is ok.. For the location with it being right on the beach and a great view I expected maybe a little bit more and held high expectations for this place. Honestly the experience only gets a 3 star bc I got my FREE drink with check in, it has it's perks. I ordered "the patriot" which tastes pretty great! Sweet but has a sour taste as well. Almost like a raspberry soda. It also came with a sou comer cup. FREE FOR THE WIN :) The calamari was the bomb.com. I personally didn't eat them but the twins did and they are pretty critical about some good calamari but this one was out of the park! "Wicked good" as the Boston people would say :) Crispy, golden, perfectly seasoned - the list could go for days. All wrapped in a cone figure with sauce on the side. I ordered the chickencabana which was a mess but great. The chicken was juicy and fresh. My boyfriend had the dbl burger he loved it and really enjoyed the mango cold-slaw it was verrryyyyy good. HOWEVER we UPCHARGED for sweet potato fries and after waiting 30+ min for our food we noticed the food was warm and the sweet potato fries were cold! So much for getting what you pay for -,- The twin ordered the lobster roll. He went on reminiscing of living in Boston and had some high expectations. Sadly very disappointed. Lobster was ehhh. Very good restaurant I would highly recommend it. The price was excellent and you get a free glass of wine if you're a yelp er... The boiled shrimp were very good. So first thing I'll get the only negative out of the way. Parking is rough. This is not the establishment's fault it's just that way everywhere. Bring a lot of Quarters as its 1.50 hr on the street meters. Now.. Growing up in Providence, RI I gotta tell you I love this place. The ambiance is very New England with memorabilia from all NE Sports Celts, Bs, Pats, Sox even BU and BC. Very clean place. Food was very good to excellent. The Clam Chowder was amazing and the Lobster Roll was excellent with lots of lobster and not mostly mayo like some other places. Being from out of town felt very at home. The bar tender was a great guy and chatted like we were old friends. Stand up guy all around (may have been the owner). It was great to able to sit and have a beer and Lobster roll while watching the Bruins and if it wasn't for the 80 degree weather is have thought I was in Boston. Even got some shout outs in the Orr jersey from some other patrons. I will be back for certain .. Most likely in Sunday to experience the Pats game! read more

A local landmark, Bostons sits on prime real estate. A perfect spot for beach goers and weekend fun, Bostons offers live music as well. This is going to be short...... After spending a fun evening with friends, and forever searching for our waitress, the time came to settle the bill. Our waitress was literally non existent the entire night...... after paying the bill, we found that gratuity had already been added. So....this sorry excuse for a server recieved a 24 dollar tip on .10 cent service. She should have told us that the tip had already been factored in. Sitting outside is great to people watch and comfortable even on a hot day - they have the fans running and it's not bad. Our service was on spot - always on top of filling our water glasses. This is a solid spot for a burger, fried sandwich or other pubby type food. It is a sports bar mostly, so don't expect fine dining here. We go here when we are in Delray because it reminds us of New England given all the Red Sox, Patroits and Massachusetts memorobilia everywhere. You don't need to be a Sox fan to go here ... but it helps. The food is pretty standard to what you'd find at an upscale sports bar. The nachos are amazing, the burgers are for guys (loaded with things like pulled pork, cheese, fried eggs or onion straws). I was here with a 'sports bar' type crowd of guys and many said it was one of the best burgers they had. I got the fried shrimp and thought they were a bit overcooked and the portion wasn't very big. The best part of my plate was the french fries. The atmosphere can get loud because they have live bands and tons of tvs all over. I like the staff because most of them have the sassy Boston atmosphere. The bartender was busting on us because of the drinks some of us ordered (in a playful way) and the waitors were all pretty capable until one forgot to bring us the nachos we ordered. They also have a sand bar outside which is more of a fun bar sort of environment. There isn't parking but usually if you don't mind a little bit of a walk, you can find parking on the street sort of nearby. I'm completely shocked and can't believe at what I So first off I wanna say I understand everything about the restaurant business! I have been a server for 2 years!! I understand completely that usually the young adults won't give tips and it's very unfortunate. This one white female was completely rude from the beginning and I felt very horrible because I bring all my friends and it was supposed to be a good time. But this is not why I'm making this message! At the end I was NICE enough to give her 10$! Tip which is crazy considering that fact she was completely rude! And what she did next was completely disgusting!! She rolled her eyes and walked off! So I got up and went to her privately and told her that was not okay at all. And to give me my 10$ back! And she said No and said that my bill was high for a 10$ tip. This is just disgusting behavior. So I told her if I can speak to a manager and even the manager told us to leave and that we weren't getting the 10$ back. They eventually gave the 10$ back after I told them several times to give it back. And it honestly very embarrassing everyone was looking at us as if we did something wrong. Trust me I know about the restaurant business when people say tipping is optional I hated it! But you can't not accept the fact that it's true sadly and after being completely disrespected by that girl server I still had a heart and gave her 10$. Traveling from Lauderdale by the sea, my best friend and I decided to come to Boston's for a quick drink and appetizer before hitting the beach. Veronica was our bartender, she was very cordial and quick with getting our shots ready, we ordered green tea shots, the fish dip and two Coronas. Veronica was so attentive, every-time our drink was empty she was on top in it . We will definitely be return customers! The atmosphere is perfect right by the beach and we loved the vibe of the place! Thanks again Veronica for everything . When the fish dip arrived it had pickled onions on it which I do not like at all and jalapeños on top of it which I cannot eat , it didn't say it had the onions on it and I'm allergic :/ so my friend scrapped it off and it was fine . I'm so sorry I went to Boston's for lunch. I ordered a simple cheeseburger,it came out under cooked and you could see it was a frozen burger imagine that for 14dollars. My wife had the fried fish sandwich and it wasn't cooked enough and it was also frozen and out of a box. What happened to Boston's on the Beach? It used to be a great place for lunch and dinner. We should have realized upon arrival at 1:00 PM the place was empty and Luna Rosa located just next door was hopping and popping. Even though there was only one other occupied table, the service was so slow. The menu was limited and expensive. Hamburger $18. My wife ordered a lobster roll and I a fish sandwich. When the server arrived with our food, I commented to him "where's the other half of the lobster roll. It was tiny. Though the food was good it was so disappointing to have to use cheap plastic picnic ware instead of silverware. I mentioned to the server that we are locals, not tourists, and very disappointed and will not return. There are much classier restaurants not too distant that are eager for our business. read more

Really enjoy this restaurant have frequently been there for breakfast, drinks and apps as well as dinner. They have great happy hour 1/2 price drinks and apps. The tuna app fish dip cauliflower and lettuce wraps are all a must have. My guy loves the crispy fish sandwich. They have good burgers and delicious lobster rolls. I wish they were open on the weekdays for breakfast but only Saturday and Sunday. Their prices are the more reasonable ones for breakfast in the area and right across from the beach. Boston's was my favorite restaurant for 15 years. Used to live very close and go all the time now it's a little bit of a hike but we used to be worth it so yesterday. The menu has changed to the point Point that is very little to select from and I would get the same thing every time I go which was the lobster roll but used to be fantastic is now half the size but of course every bit the same price. My husband used to get a fish dish I could get more time but that is no longer on there and the couple we went with had a really hard time picking out what to eat because it was so limited. Here I am again in SoFL finding myself in a familiar spot. Sadly, I am down here for Family Business and just needed a place to go for a while. I asked my Server Anthony if here would be okay with me sitting at a Table for a while just working on a couple of Drinks and reading. As a Server, out biggest fear are "Campers," generally because they take a spot that could be turned over for other business and don't generally compensate for the extra time. Anthony was so kind and understanding of the situation and just let me do was i needed at that point. With a cool Ocean Breeze and an outstanding Bloody Mary (followed by a Pint Of Sam Lager), I just worked on organizing my thoughts and enjoying some Kerouac. I did eventually enjoy their Clam Chowder and Buffalo Cauliflower Appetizer as the food is never disappointing. The point of this update is the Staff was just great! I also took the time to speak with the Manager about my experience, because People generally only like to complain and not bring to light the Good Stuff a Restaurant Staff does. What do I hope everyone takes away from this... 1) Always be kind to the Staff 2) If you're going to sit at a Table for an extended period, consider tipping more than 20% since that is money the Server is losing out on 3) Take the time to let Managers know when you have a positive experience. The 2 stars are for the burger that was pretty good. Nothing special, but not greasy either. The drinks were just ok, not too sure they had any liquor in them. Place is not run well, and the manager on duty while we were there was unaware that she is in the hospitality industry. Not even an apology for the few issues we had. Boston's used to be a must whenever I was in town. I am sad to say over the last few years it has really gone down and has become a consistent disappointment. I sat at bat for 15 min while being seen but ignored by bartenders. Was next to service station and listened to very server complain about something either customers or management. So I'm a sucker for a good Lobster Roll Sandwich especially being from Massachusetts!! It was packed with huge lobster pieces..had New England Clam Chowder which was also good. This place was really great..we sat on the patio because it was beautiful outside. Our server (Shirley) was very busy so I really appreciated the teamwork here, with the manager (Trevor) helping out and another staff member breezing by to check in. (Hospitality background myself I really like things like that) If you check in here they hook you up with a free drink (and my boyfriend didn't like the drink he ordered, they still brought another one for him which they comped as well!) Called ahead for reservation to get beautiful 2nd floor window view of beach and ocean. Lobster bisque was great! We also much enjoyed a cheese platter served with honey, jelly, mustard, bread, and chips. Our waitress Chantelle was very helpful in recommending selections we might like. This is probably the worst experience I've had eating in SOFLO. The clam chowder i ordered was watery and lacked flavor. The calamari breading was falling off of the squid. The fish tacos i ordered were the driest I've ever experienced, and cold. Probably due to the fact that it took our food over an hour to get to us in a half full restaurant. Unfortunately that wasn't the worst part. It's a dog friendly restaurant, which is amazing! However i watched an employee take the picture of water that they used to fill my families glasses and then turn around and fill a dog bowl. I am a semi regular visitor to Boston's on the beach. We usually visit the Beach for a few hours. We usually sit outside to people watch and view the cars rolling down A1A. Their Wings are a really good start better than most meaty and not over the top hot we also get the clams and fried calamari both are above average. The menu has changed a little but still offers many choices other than seafood. The fish sandwich is very good, the lobster roll is authentic Boston good and the burgers are great too. Can't miss on anything-decent portions a little pricey but the view and atmosphere are well worth the trip - relax and spend some time to enjoy! read more

Went there on my lunch break with my coworkers. We had a great view, sat upstairs, table for 9. The service was great, we ordered several appetizers, definitely recommended the Tempura cauliflower.
