I'm only giving this location one star , strictly for Mike (bartender) and management. My kids and I love (about once/twice per week) taking a bike ride down to this establishment and enjoy having a beer outside and we get take out from one of the local restaurant. Today though, Mike told us that "kids aren't allowed to sit outside with us, because they don't have a kitchen" . To be turned away is ridiculous. I won't be gong back! Update: came back another time because we loved it so much the first time. I'm very disappointed because flights are a HUGE rip off and they charge you per 5 ounce beer. A flight of 4 cost around 30 bucks. Most breweries charge ~15 bucks for a flight. It was a huge shock when the bill came. I wish they were more transparent with the prices. read more

Been driving by this place a bunch of times on the 101 but never bothered to stop by. One of my old Amgen friends was back in town for a visit and recommended meeting up for some dranks. So this was a perfect opportunity to give Bottle and Pint a try. Parking can be a struggle since the main lot is shared by so many other businesses. There is a additional parking on the side and back lots. Located just off the freeway in Newbury Park, BaP is a small place with around 10 tables and the bar. Safe to say there isn't a kitchen at BaP which it too bad. One thing they are doing is offering food from Spumoni and Larsen's, both of which are located next door. In a matter of minutes you can choose any appetizer from Larsen's or if you're looking for a full meal you can give Spumoni a go. Now for the adult beverages. BaP offers a great selection of local and non-local craft beers. There's a good selection of IPAs, wits, stouts, and almost any other beers you'll be interested in. The beer is served quick/efficiently and also includes a smile. Bottle and Pint has a lot going for it; the location being one of them. It's a great casual place to get drinks after work with some cronies. The crowd here seems to be easy going and people were having a good time. Bottle and Pint might be a regular spot for me in 2016. read more

Tonight I got a sneak peek of this new beer tasting room. They officially open tomorrow, January 9. Bottle and Pint offers a variety of brews on tap and in bottles. Grab a seat at the counter or at one of the tables and feel free to ask these friendly folks for recommendations. They offer 5 oz tasters or full-size 10 or 16 oz pours. I tried tasters of the VICTORY - DIRT WOLF and PIZZA PORT - SWAMI. Both excellent IPAs (Victory is a DIPA). Some food will be offered through a limited menu from neighboring Spumoni. In the meantime, you can bring in food from other establishments. Just check with them if you're unsure. For now, they are planning to be open from 11am-9pm seven days a week, but look for adjustments as they get settled in. Cheers! read more

I've been to this place a number of times since its opening, and am so excited to finally have a worthy and reputable craft beer bar in the area! Bottle and Pint has an excellent and unique beer selection, and I've found nothing but attentive service and positive attitude from all the workers there. Being able to interact with the bar owners themselves on a friendly level makes for a laid back and unpretentious environment, which is rare for a craft beer bar. They update their tap list consistently and have an area for buying different bottles, which they will open for you to drink on site if you can't make it home without a taste. They will let you test a sample of any beer you ask for without fuss. When I've been snooty and assumed that I didn't need to try a beer beforehand because I knew I'd like it, and ended up being underwhelmed (I'm looking at you, Saint Archer Porter Cream Coffee Nitro), the staff didn't hesitate to exchange my drink with something I did like. Their extensive and ever-changing menu has even gotten me to actually enjoy a sour, which I never thought I'd be able to say! It's too bad that they close so early, but the reasons why are clear. It keeps away the drunken fools, and as it's family operated, it's totally understandable. Not to get all sappy, but what makes me appreciate Bottle and Pint most is the community feel that it brings to Newbury Park. Head there on a Friday night for a couple of drinks and delivery sushi and the place is packed with passionate craft beer drinkers, tasting groups, couples, and a bunch of young people you didn't even know existed in the area. Huge plus is that none of said young people are the d-bags you went to high school with and hoped to never see again. It's got a warm and fun atmosphere and an ambiance that is super mellow. Sweet selection of craft beers from local breweries and otherwise. I would highly recommend this place to those who drink for taste. Furthest thing from a dive, super laid back and clean environment. Could easily spend too much money here. They have tons of quality brews on tap and consistently in rotation. I'd highly recommend trying some taps on nitro, it makes a difference. Bartenders were really nice and really knowledgeable. Side note: While speaking with one of the bartender's, I was told that the owner is always looking to bring in new brews, even from breweries who don't usually distribute. He drives all over the place to buy from the breweries directly. This extra effort that he puts in is a microcosm of the progressive and ambitious nature of Bottle and Pint. We need more places like this, its a win-win for them and local breweries looking for a medium to grow. read more

The first of it's kind in Ventura County. The owner is very knowledgalbe about Craft Beers and had a passion for this for sure. We have been there twice and every time has been a great experience. He seeks out rare Craft beers and seems to be always researching what the interesting brews are out there. They also sell beer so if you find a tap that you have to take home, you can buy it there. We stopped in to kill some time before our reservations at Holdren's and were pleasantly surprised. Pros: -Great beer selection. With it always rotating there's always something new to try. -I am not a huge beer drinker so for me the 4-5 oz. serving was fabulous because I can drink it before it gets cold. -Staff was super helpful helping us decide what we wanted. Cons: -Decor is a bit boring. I am sure they are going to be fixing this as they are opened longer. -No food. I see from the comments below that they are working on food from Spumoni next door. I think that even if there were peanuts or seasoned pretzels on the tables it would be good. Overall we were quite happy with the place and will be sure to come back. read more

I think this place is going through some start up pains, as it certainly was not up to par with what one would expect from a place that is all about craft beer. The overall "vibe" of the place looks as though they tried to hurry up and open their doors without much thought put into decor or layout - it is BORING! The acoustics are awful, as we could hear full on conversations from people sitting behind us at a table. Their offered bottles aren't anything unique if you are a true craft beer lover - especially considering Stagecoach Liquors is right down the street. The tap selection was decent, but certainly not anything outstanding considering this place is between Barrelhouse 101 and Sundowner Tasting room and they both have over 100 items on tap. There isn't any food available, so don't expect to munch on anything unless you bring your own. I found the service beyond disappointing - we actually joked and set a timer and it took 12 minutes of us sitting at the bar before we were asked what we would like. Of the two employees working, one seemed to be engaged in a nice long personal conversation while the other one was stressing out about the credit card machine not working. Being a huge craft beer fanatic, I also found it really disappointing that the person behind the counter had to constantly look up at the board to figure out what he was pouring and didn't have much to share about what they did have on tap. In a nutshell, it almost seemed as though as customers we were a bit of an inconvenience. They lost money on us, as we weren't willing to sit around and wait to order another round when we could go somewhere else with better service. Knowing the retail price on some of the beers, I question their price points for both the short and tall pours. I also question how many ounces they are serving based on what their board states. We ordered a Stone Enjoy By that was suppose to be a 16 oz pour - if I could have measured the volume of the glass, I would have guessed the glass to be just over 12 oz. I have no reason to go back to this establishment nor to recommend it to others when there are better choices in Ventura County. read more

Came in to meet a friend on a Wednesday night. Service and beers were fine, but the music was deafening. Impossible to have a conversation without screaming. The place is pretty small, and the thundering music gave me a headache after 5 minutes. Atmosphere is minimal, and food is only available from restaurants nearby. Many better options in the area, unless you are trying to avoid talking with others. read more

I hope this place continues to come into its own because the idea is great. It's a tap room and has bottles for sale. The taps change really regularly, so if they have something you like, you better head over asap for a pint before it's gone. You'll see some of the usual suspects on tap (i.e., Stone), but there were definitely some tasty things that were new to me. Noble's Milk Stout was my fav the night we went. The owner and his staff are super friendly. Some are more beer-knowledgeable than the others. As Yelpers have noted, the place still needs some more decor and you can bring in food from the nearby restaurants. Nice addition to Newbury Park. read more

Good: I think its a super cool concept with a great selection of craft beers. The more generic your beer likes the less this place would be for you. The tap room on one side and store on the other is cool. It really is a pretty amazing craft beer list. Medium: The physical space is great and in my opinion well done, when we were in there was no art on the walls so the walls felt cold even with the warm colors. We were there when they were just recently opened so they may have just not had the art work up. Bad: As a bartender, I can't stand going to place where the employees drink. Its against the law and provides safety issues to patrons and the community. Not to mention bad business. The ABC law is clear but a few episodes of Bar Rescue will give you an entertaining perspective on why its bad. read more
