The employee that opened the store this morning had on Rubber gloves and went back to where he is preparing food with the same gloves on . Listeria and Ecoli ? We just left. The bread roll was good. Crunchy and chewy in a perfect balance, but the French dip Deluxe overall was disappointing. Decent experience, simple place to get lunch. Came here for a quick lunch for work one afternoon. It's cafeteria style, so you go up to the counter and order. They then give you a number, you find a table and sit down and they bring you the food. Easy, no frills kind of place. The restaurant was very clean. I ordered a soup and salad combo, and it didn't take long for it to come out. Salad tasted ok, a bit too much dressing on it. The soup tasted like it came out of a can. Boudin is a great lunch stop, they'll help you get in and out quickly and you can choose to grab a guilt free or decadent meal here. They have great sandwiches, soups and salads and if you join their membership club you'll get a free loaf of bread every now and then- and trust me it's delicious! A great feature is their online ordering, you can place an order and pick it up without needing to wait in line with everyone else. However, if you have some time you can jump in line, peruse the menu and take a look at some of the great bakery options in the display case. The menu stays pretty much the same and has some great staples, but the seasonal offering are worth a try! You can check out their website or sign up for their newsletter for updates. My favorite items are the spring salad and the butternut squash soup, if you get the combo it's the perfect balance of sweet and savory and leaves me feeling less guilty about my lunch choice. I am a sucker for anything Point Reyes related as I lived there for a short time as child. The chowder for me was lacking any flavor. I asked for Tabasco which in my opinion is the only hot sauce to go with chowder but they only had cholula. I used it anyways and it made it taste better. Bread was just ok. Don't see what all the fuss is about. 3 stars anyways. Cashier and Server were both great. And very affordable. It was like $11.40 or so for the chowder and a Diet Coke. Picked up food the other day for myself and four members of my family. Everyone in the family ordered bread bowls with chili and/or clam chowder. Not one of them had anything bad to say, they all enjoy it very much. I had the pre made lasagna, I liked the flavor and the size was decent but I do not like the fact that you receive it cold in a plastic container straight from the refrigerator. This place stole my heart with the bear and turtle shaped bread. I've been seeing this place for a while on Yelp and finally decided to try it out. Immediately I walked in and saw the cashiers at the front, ready to take our order, table seating on the side and outdoor seating as well. It's very similar to Panera. They have the combos with sandwich/salad/soup. I heard this place is known for their clam chowder but I didn't order it this time. When I go back I'll definitely try it. I ordered the chicken pesto and the salad with the blueberries, goat cheese, oranges, and etc. it was good and fresh but it didn't scream to my taste palette. I'm not saying it wasn't good, it's just that I normally don't order those kind of things and I was trying to be different. They give you a number and you go wherever and they serve you. Once you finish, you leave the plates there and they clean up for you. I wanted to bring home a bread because they were absolutely cute. I ended up taking the bear bread home ($9.95). We found this restaurant clean, including the beverage station. My friend and I were so impressed with the exceptional staff who were working the dining room floor to never be idle: continually either delivering food to tables, inquiring about customers' dining experiences, offering to bring take-out containers or anything else needed, etc. When not engaged with customers they were checking drink station for inventory (paper goods, straws, drinks), sweeping the floor, cleaning tables, etc. They appeared to enjoy their work and appreciate customers. Upon entry, I ordered at the counter a chicken salad sandwich requesting "not toasted." Unfortunately, it arrived at our table overly toasted and the bread was hard. If I had the time I would have mentioned it or sent it back. That said, the chicken salad inside the toast was fresh and tasty as was the side salad. Instead of getting the bread bowl get yourself a grilled cheese with a side of soup and dip in! Or a bowl of chili, that's pretty tasty too!
