Asada fries and fried pickles, with blueberry lavender lemonade seltzers.

Chill atmosphere, food is always delicious and the servers are all so very nice! This time around we had the asada fries and fried pickles! Delicious!! My friend and I each had the Blueberry Lavender Lemonade seltzer it was very good, not overly sweet.

Portobello fries

Stopped by here on a Subday afternoon. The service was a little slow, but the employees were nice and friendly. Ordered a variety of things so we can get a taste of several items. The best thing we had was the portobello fries. They were crispy and the sauce had good flavor. The steak sandwich was ok, the meat lacked a little flavor and was a bit tough. The salad was good, the dressing was a bit too lemony. The burger was good, but nothing special. The michelada was great and had perfect spice.

It's a Sunday afternoon with these yummy side dishes and refreshing cold beers! But first exploring with foot and I learned thatDowntown Covina is not bad a place to get together! This brewery bar is one of them! We will be back!

Stumbled across this small hole in the wall on Thursday night and happened to come see trivia night! We came to get some light bites and drink! And can I say we left very satisfied with our cauliflower bites and Carne Asada fries! There were a decent amount of people for trivia and they even gave out a prize! Definitely had a local spot feeling to the location. There is street parking and public parking which was about a block walk but the area is pretty lively at night and filled with other bars and cafes so it's a nice walk

We had a little trouble finding the front door of this place because it is not labeled at street level. Once inside, the space is very dark and fairly traditional "pub". At least during lunch time, this is a very family friendly restaurant! I ordered the Cubano sandwich and it was more BBQ indulgenced than I'm used to with a Cubano, but very good! My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork grilled cheese and enjoyed the crispy sour dough bread. He did say it was kinda messy! We were both a little disappointed in the fries, they were just fine but not good. The waitress was very nice, if a little scattered!

Bread & Barley, Covina Has one of the best Nashville Chicken sandwiches I've ever had! Came here on a Friday Night to celebrate one of my very special close friend's birthday. We tried the asada fries, they were pretty good too. We had the Paloma which is an agave wine cocktail (15% abv) It's very good,1- 2 drinks is more than enough. I love the spot. The service is phenomenal. It was actually my 2nd visit there & will be a place I am sure I will continue to visit. The area is perfect, lots of other places to explore as well. I highly recommend. Also kid friendly.

Greek Salad with add on Chicken :slimy greens :(

It's been a while since i visited B&B. I was a regular during Covid because they were a quality, locally - owned , delicious community spot. I got busy and well , life .. has kept me busy. My good friend calls me.. says ..lunch .. all the stars aligned and we said Bread and Barley .. one hour ... let's goooo. Walked in and was greeted, server was super sweet and cheerful. Menu had fabulous options, the cider sounded yummy (but i was working ) . I ordered a Greek Salad and paid the add on for chicken. The Salad smelled and looked beautiful . First bite, ... you know that black slimy stuff that mixed greens, sometimes get , when sitting too long in bag/container? Well it was almost in every other bite . I know it happens sometimes... you wash and spin the greens and one sneaks in. My salad must have been the bottom of the bag. At first i kept putting the black slime leaves to the side .. ..but when it was more bad slimy black leaves than good crisp green ones .... I gave up ‍ ... i just picked out the chicken, olives, and cheese. I also didn't get the pita with salad as stated in the menu. I left hungry, disappointed, and well annoyed. I didn't return it because it was going to take too long to get a new dish. I paid for it and left. I mentioned it to my husband later.. we both loved going to B&B .. he said uh oh ... maybe it's in a decline ... i hope it's a new cook/chef... and i hope they get back to their old quality food . I took a picture of the salad I COULD NOT eat because it was so full of black slime on the greens ....

Food - great as always Ambiance - always great!!! Service- last week was great! But not so much this week. Was in there yesterday what started off great ended up bad. I would have given it 5 stars but I'm not because when I got my beer it was not even full, poorly poured (I'm a paying customer) everything else went fine food was out and good then I waited for my server very young girl to return well she was no where to be found when I finally saw her she was too busy on her phone then as I saw her coming over she again disappeared back at the front chatting away by the time another sweet server whom I think realized I was ready came over BUT at that point I just asked for my check. Sadly we went elsewhere for another beer.

I finally made it back to try some of their food! Their smash burger is a solid choice, but it was lacking a bit of smash to it. Regardless, it was the perfect burger to pair with a Pacific Ale beer that they currently have on tap. The fries were outstanding and they have a different take on classic carne asada fries. The carne asada fries consisted of a cheese fondue with pickled jalapeños and onions over a bed of fries and carne asada. It was actually very good and I can see it being a hit for pickled onion lovers. Overall, this place is a solid local option with great ambience and service.

A cute and relaxing place on a Saturday night. I enjoyed the rose wine and the service was pretty fast. Not too crowded, but I would say parking is a hit or miss here. The area itself is nice to walk around. Going inside felt cozy, clean, and welcoming. They have quite a selection of drinks and food. For me, I'd recommend their Brussels sprouts (I know, but trust me, try it).

So, you're not eating meat on Friday, not a problem!

The bartenders are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home every time. We recently booked a private party and reserved two rooms for my birthday celebration, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. Suzie was wonderful to work with, organized, responsive, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Our server took great care of our guests, the food was delicious, and we were given plenty of time to set up, which we truly appreciated. Thank you, Suzie, April and the entire Edna Vees team, for making my birthday celebration extra special. We'll definitely be back (again and again)!

The ambiance is great, music, games and TV's for sports. They also had karaoke and honestly it was a little loud but, whatever I got used to it. We sat at the bar and our server was great! Our server took our drink order and food order within minutes and we watched a game while waiting for our food. My son ordered the Edna Vee burger with tots and mac n cheese. He loved the burger and tots and said the mac n cheese was alright. I ordered the Cesar salad wrap with tots and I thought it was great! My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I'm not a huge fan of soggy bread but, this one was perfect. It had candied walnuts, caramel, vanilla ice cream and apples. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've had. Since we were starving, I didn't get food pics but, I would absolutely recommend dining here for a good time and good food.

As I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed they had an outdoor seating area, which is really nice on hot days. It looked like a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening. When I went inside, I immediately liked the camping and outdoor vibes. The whole place has that rustic, lodge-style feel that makes it stand out. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.

They have a little outside in the front with a few picnic tables. There were limited options for both beer and seltzers. The beer I got was red and it was pretty good. The only service is when you go up to order the drinks, they don't come around and pick up cups, they leave it to you to bring them back. The pizza and wings were really delicious. We ordered the supreme pizza and buffalo wings, garlic knots. It was a large enough size to feed 5 adults and 2 toddlers. I would definitely recommend getting the pizza. The ranch was different but good. This brewery is family friendly and pet friendly.

The place was the sh*t. I've come here several times over the past couple years and it's more and more dead at the restaurant every time. The waitresses are absolutely dreadful. Every request is forgotten or takes 20 mins to arrive at the table. When we arrived we waited 20 mins for a waitress. We asked for some sauce, they forgot. We ordered a pizza, which was delivered to the wrong table. When we wanted to leave, the check took 20 mins as well. Now I have a crying baby and I'm waiting for them to try and split the check two ways and I eventually give up knowing that the task is too much for them to handle and just pay it all on one card. We had to track down the waitresses multiple times. It's like they have NO ability to anticipate the needs of their customers. "They ordered, pizza, maybe I should bring some plates". Nope! "They'll probably want their sauce before the food item is ICE COLD". Nope! Anytime we went into the restaurant the girls were on their phones. There were five tables in the restaurant tonight so there really was no excuse. I think this will be the last time I ever go to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the reputation of the old Congregation Ale House kept me coming back even when time after time, the service was abysmal, however, now that Congregation's former glory is thoroughly tarnished I can honestly say that I will not be coming back and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Quality like this cannot be tolerated. Travis, the former owner, would be ashamed of this fall from grace. R.I.P. Congregation Ale House
