Excited to find a new place to try for lunch and came in at 1:00 trying to avoid the lunch rush. Sadly we only ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and it took 40 minutes to get our to go order. If I wasn't on a work lunch break I'd say the wait was worth it. I got the Apple bacon grilled cheese and it was delicious! The tomato basil soup supper was a nice touch as well. read more

It's a good thing the food was great because their service sucked. It was nonexistent actually. I would only recommend it for take out.

Fabulous grill cheese sandwich, reindeer chili was delicious. Service was quick and efficient. The beers were tasty also.

The food is pretty good, but WAY too expensive. $14 for a grilled cheese with tomato and pesto? $5 for french fries? $4 for a bottle of soda? Come one! I know food trucks that are cheaper that that. The grilled cheese was fine but nothing that blew me away. The fries were really great but there were only about 12 fries in the container, so I really felt ripped off for the price I paid. Based on the food I would eat there again, but the price makes me never to want to go back. read more

The first time I went, I wasn't really impressed. I thought they were a little pricey for just a grilled cheese, and I still kind of think that. But I've been a few times over the last year and order delivery a lot. They are one of the few places in Anchorage where almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free and they don't charge you extra for it. I have Celiac Disease; so that's a big deal to me. I also heard they don't fry their tots and fries, which means no cross contamination with the oil. I have never gotten sick from eating here. With gluten free bread, I think the sandwiches might be a little smaller, but that's the bread and not their fault. And they're gluten free pizzas are good. They have turned into my go-to here in town. read more

Ordered takeout...the website was super easy to use, and food was ready on time. Pot Tots were well seasoned. Reindeer Chili was awesome. Spicy Turkey sandwich was spot on. I added apples and it gave and extra crunch and freshness to balance the jalapenos. Also got the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese and was even better than it was described on the menu. The bartender was super helpful, and the atmosphere when I picked it up was laidback and comfortable. read more

I'm the kind of person who knows what they like and I can't give this place enough praise. Anytime I feel the urge for a damn fine grilled cheese (w/side of tomato soup for dipping!!!) and my favorite beer (Broken Tooth Hard Apple Ale), I know I can come here and get excellent, quick service. My regular waitress recognizes me whenever I stop in and I love that she is so bright and personable! To hell with 5 stars, I give them 6! read more

They messed up on my order today and I didn't realize until I got home. I gave the ladies a call back and they actually took really good care of me replacing my meal and giving me a hand sanitizer. Awesome little place in my neighborhood. Went twice in the first week. My buddy bought a staff shirt which was pretty cool. The beer selection is on point and the grilled cheese is an awesome compliment. I want to offer a shout out especially for Zoey and Caitlyn, the service we got from them took this place from nice little spot to my new favorite hang out. I tried the great white buffalo and added roasted jalapeños, my husband tried the philly beer cheese sandwich, as well as truffle fries. Everything was delicious! You can taste the butter on the bread which I look for in a grilled cheese, the philly was superb. Truffle fries I couldn't stop eating. The beer glasses are frozen too which was a huge plus for us! Been wanting to try this for a while and finally got to go and it was....ok. I had the reuben and my wife had the TBA. My little guy had the OG. The reuben and the TBA were both good but lacked that PUNCH of flavor. The reuben could have used more special sauce and the TBA would have been better with a pesto aioli or something. The OG was a really good grilled cheese. The restaurant itself is very nice. I will be back but not my first choice. Hopefully they can get a little more agressive on the flavors! read more

My husband and I came in for lunch and they weren't super busy, but had a few people in. We decided to give this place another try because we tried their soup at the Best of Alaska event and they had the most delicious Hungarian Mushroom soup! They changed the layout and flow of the place where you order at a window instead of a server coming to you. We originally sat down for a good 5 minutes and the person at the window just casually sat there while we were waiting. I wish he had told us that we needed to order up front. We finally realized they no longer take orders so we lined up to order and they hand you a number. The food was tasty! We both ordered grilled cheeses. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch grilled cheese. They come with tomato soup dippers. We also ordered a side of Truffle Fries and my mushroom soup. The fries were okay, but the soup was good! They of course have a wide variety of beer and wine here. You can even order a sampler of beer of your choosing and a mimosa sampler! This place is great to grab a quick bite. The customer could be a little better though, possibly a bad day? Anyhow, I'd come back again. read more

Beer selection is good. Cute establishment with nice decor. We had to switch tables after 10 minutes for the waitress to notice us. Had a grilled cheese with the truffle fries. It was ok, I think I could've made the same at home without much effort. I'm not a food snob and was excited to have a place close to my home with good beer but it wasn't anything to write home about, probably won't go out of my way to go here in the future which is a shame because I was hoping it'd be 'Bear Tooth' quality comfort food. I think they should add a more intricate bread selection for their sandwiches, not everyone likes sourdough, plus it would add flair. Honestly, my family doesn't go here anymore because of the bad customer service. The food was good when I first tried it, but you can make any of the grilled cheeses at home. We used to go in and eat, or order togo from them about once a week. We only did this for about a month or so before my boyfriend got a rude comment "Wow, you guys eat here too much." I had only tried three different meals, how is that possible? I work in customer service and I would NEVER say that to a customer, joking or not. However the very next day and since then I have gotten tons of spam emails so, I'm just guessing they collect and sell your info since that was the only place I had given that info to. This place specializes in grilled cheese and you can tell they're made with love. The grilled cheese comes with a ramekin of tomato soup for dipping! Delicious. Good wine and beer selection too. The staff seemed pretty young but knowledgeable. read more

Should be called Plastic and Disappointment. Came in with my mum one day for lunch. Being new there, we weren't sure how their system worked. After seating ourselves to a dirty table, we waited 15 minutes until one of the rude girls who was just standing behind the counter finally addressed us. She told us we needed to get a menu from the front and then go back up and give her our order. Exceptional service wow! After following strict orders, I ordered their veggie sandwich with a side of tomato soup. I also asked her for some water. I know, this is a steep request in a dining facility. Her joy for working in customer service overflowed as she sighed and returned with a to-go PLASTIC cup. I almost spit my imaginary water out as she had not even had the decency to fill it up. Okay, we are in 2018. Honestly, how dare this place serve water in single use plastic. Totally environmentally irresponsible. Also, food was bad-mediocre. The soup tasted like it was out of a can and the veggie sandwich was major blah. Please do not spend your money on single-use plastic and lazy customer service. read more

Really overpriced! $13 for a grilled cheese that took 30 min to make (was not busy?) and two seconds to eat. And that's it, it's just the sandwich, no chips or anything. Seems very overrated. Tasted fine, but I could be making the same thing at an normal portion size at home for free. read more

Visited B & B today for lunch as an out of towner. Very friendly staff who were very attentive to my family's different food allergies. Great tasting food with a good variety. I got the spicy turkey. The roasted jalapenos really made the sandwich, and it was a nice change of pace from canned jalapenos most places serve. If I lived in Anchorage, this would be a preferred location for lunch or dinner. read more

Nice new soup and sandwich place in town. Fancy grilled cheese, yummy salads and Hungarian mushroom soup that rivals Mooses Tooth! Friendly customer service. Didn't try the beer. 2nd time here in a week! My husband and I split the pretzel, which was amazing! I ordered the jalapeno popper grilled cheese which was packed with bacon & jalapenos. My husband ordered the TBA (turkey, bacon,avocado) which he said was very good. He also got a cup of tomato soup and it was very tasty as well. We each got a Double Shovel hopps cider.
