Very bitter matcha, if you are coming for that I would skip this spot. It's also a bit pricey considering how small in size their drinks are. Their avo toast is tasty and I would come back to try their coffee offerings. The space itself is quite large but with very limited seating however in my 2 visits it has never seemed to be crowded so this could be a nice place to study. The parking situation isn't the best, there is limited street parking but you can find a few paid lots a little further down

Nice relaxing place. I had an Americano and a pretzel bagel. The pretzel bagel was pretty good. The Americano was ok. I got it with pistachio milk which I didn't taste too much of and they don't have anything other than brown sugar in the raw to sweeten it with. The guys working there were nice. Overall a cool place with WiFi (which is always a plus).

I was looking for a good coffee spot in the area & was grateful to have come across this fine establishment. It was easy to find but parking can be a bit of a struggle as there's only street parking in the surrounding area. My sister and I arrived just before 10:30 on a beautiful Saturday morning and got lucky with parking as we found someone pulling out of a spot around the corner. Upon entering, the space was nice and open with plenty of seating around a cute Fiat on display. The ambiance is chill & service was quick. We were the only ones in line so we expressed to the employees that it was our first time visiting and he made great recommendations. I ordered the Einspänner which was deliciously creamy and not overly sweet. My sister ordered the cream top matcha with espresso & it was delicious. I'm so glad we found this place. I'd happy return the next time I'm in the area.

I was looking for a work spot a little closer to where I was meeting my friend for dinner, and Bread N Butter fit the bill. The inside is spacious and gives industrial vibes, with lots of open space and a Fiat (yes, really) sitting in the middle. Fortunately, a Fiat is a tiny car. In any case, when I came in, I mentioned to the barista that the neighborhood (it's at Hollywood and Bronson) is a little questionable, and that there was someone yelling outside (they're not too far from a Salvation Army shelter, I think). He asked if I was sheltering or looking to order something--with the clear vibe that if I were just sheltering, that was totally OK. But I was indeed looking to order, and after some discussion of options with the friendly barista, I went for the Einspanner, which is a cream-topped espresso drink with a dusting of cocoa powder on top of it. It was delicious. The Wi-fi didn't have a lot of stress on it while I was there, but it seemed to work well (and hopefully that would continue to be the case with heavier use), and there are outlets along the wall, covering several tables. It's definitely a pleasant spot to do work, and there's free street parking on the side streets. Prices are fair, especially for the quality. Definitely a winner. Glad I found out about it.

Came here for the first time last week and I'm already obsessed. Really cool vibe inside with unique decor and comfy seating. There was only one barista but he was friendly and helpful. The drinks were insanely good - perfect size for the price and everything. The flavors were rich but not in an overwhelming way. Perfectly lightly sweetened matcha with the cloud top and a decadent tiramisu latte. Also love the unique treats like the pretzel croissant! Will be back (:

Kinda funny that 3 different places in town I have known carried similar names and got me quite mixed ups. All of them somewhat carried 'bread' and 'butter' within their names. That's why initially I thought I've been here while I haven't. The industrial-themed space gave retro vibe, featuring the classic car right at its center. They did carry pastries and made-to-order sandwiches, but the selection was quite limited. Despite the name being Bread N Butter, it's not like a bakery with large displays but good that the meals were served warm. Prolly the only downside was the barista played all roles so it took sometime to get your orders ready. Interestingly they also seemed to be more popular for their coffee and matcha; which was also the reason I discovered it. Their Double Matcha hooked me up serving matcha latte with matcha cream on top. Milk alternative was free so YAYY! The barista would recommend sipping without stirring so you could taste the cream better, which he surely was right. Their matcha latte was overall so-so for me, probably as I had very high preliminary expectation reading all the reviews which kept calling 'Best Ever'. It's obviously not bad, so gave it a chance when you're around :)

I love this seemingly out of place coffee shop in Hollywood! I read other reviews about it being in a not so nice area, and I would have to agree but it wouldn't stop me from visiting again! There is definitely no parking on the main street so just be sure to circle around to find street parking on the side streets. Loooove the space! It's super spacious and quiet. I do think they could use some more traffic because they have a nice set up and bathrooms available for customers. I do want to note there is just 1 person working, so likely would have to wait a little to order if there are several people, but not a big deal to us since we were not pressed for time. I loved that the drinks were both not too sweet! I would recommend both drinks we got- the cream top americano and matcha! We also got their Nutella banana muffin and omg let me tell you... It was a dream! It was soooo moist and good. I do think it was filled with a little too much Nutella, but who's complaining?? The muffin itself was already really good. I definitely recommend getting it, along with your coffee! They also sell salads and sandwiches, which I would try another time. Overall, come to support another local coffee shop. It doesn't disappoint!

A spacious & clean cafe on Hollywood Blvd. There's an actual Fiat in the middle of the cafe which is so random but adds charm to the place. Barista always makes the lattes great :) Tiramisu Latte - SO GOOD!!!! Perfect balance of bold espresso & creamy sweetness. I keep coming back for this. Einspanner Latte - Ok. Nothing special. Biased because the tiramisu latte blows this outta the water lol. Price - Typical coffee prices in the area. No additional charge for oatmilk is a WIN! Pls don't ever change that lol. Parking - A bit difficult since it's just street parking. Online Ordering - I'm glad this is an option but 30 minutes just for 2 drinks is inconvenient /: There's usually only 1 barista that we see working so maybe they can up the staffing based on rush hour or something.

Continuing our "let's try a different matcha every weekend" journey, we decided to stop by Bread N Butter and I'm happy we did. We're true matcha lovers so we skipped all the cold foam and went straight for a simple matcha latte... the barista executed very well. Strong matcha and made traditionally aka well whisked. Staff: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable Ambiance: clean, open space, cool little Fiat parked in the middle Restrooms: 2 single stall restrooms Parking: NOT GOOD lol. Street parking 100% and it's not in the best area. My wife told me she would never go there without me because she felt unsafe walking far in that area. I was so excited and had high hopes when I saw the vibrant color of the matcha, but when I tasted the drink the matcha flavor didn't really come through. I would say it's a good drink especially those who are beginner to matcha, but I personally would like it to be a little stronger. I did enjoy the drink and experience overall tho! Firstly, the latte with the foam top is sooooo good. This place doesn't charge for alternative milks! Secondly, Rudy, the owner is suuuuper chill. He's also the guy who hand prepares everything, including this spicy turkey sandwich - my girlfriend's favorite sandwich in Hollywood. This is one of my favorite coffee shops I've been to this year! There is a good amount of seating and the cafe has a lot of open space. We got the cream top matcha and the tiramisu latte. My oh my... Bread N Butter has buttered me up. As someone who decides on where to go for lunch before I clock in, I hold my lunchtime meals to high standards. Safe to say Bread N Butter has exceeded them. I ordered the matcha einspanner and turkey sandwich. First impressions: pure bliss. Absolutely loved the einspanner, it was my favorite of the two items I've tried and better than many other einspanners that I've had. Super delicious and the espresso was great as well as the cream top which was the best part for sure. Tiramisu latte was delicious as well, very strong without being bitter so if you're looking for a good kick of caffeine then this is a great drink. The store itself has a very nice aesthetic with modern and fun tables as well as lots of seating, perfect spot for catching up with friends or getting some work/studying done. Just stopped by this shop because I have been hearing all about their matcha and trust me when I say this I lived up to the hype and exceeded it too. Me and my friend got their Double matcha and Cream top matcha and WOW! Such true strong matcha flavor and probably the best cream top I have ever had. Amazing ambiance, a lot of work space and I actually got to do some work on my laptop, they had free wifi and charging stations as well. Super clean and super friendly staff. I have been trying to go to this place a few times and it was always closed. Finally got to try it yesterday. I was excited for their Tiramisu coffee but was disappointed. The coffee tasted old and in all way to sweet. Maybe people that like sweet coffee will enjoy. It looked abandon and the bathrooms dirty. Maybe I came at the wrong time so I won't give them 1 star. This place has the worst barista I've ever seen. Has no shame in just talking to his friend then working. Where is the sense of urgency? You have 1 customer in your restaurant and several people waiting for service and you just sit there talking to your friend? one thing for sure, two things for certain, when it comes to a latte with foam - imma have it!! i first got hooked on their tiramisu latte bc i loveeeeeeee me some tiramisu and it was *chefs kiss* then i found out all their lattes had foam and i made it a personal mission to try them all lmao. my favoriteeeee is definitely the iced einspanner with pistachio milk! rudy put me on so we're basically besties now 10/10 highly recommend so, if you're looking for a coffee shop with good vibes! this is it! the service is always top tier, the lattes are always on point and one day i walked in - future was playing and the next day tems, what more could you ask for? read more

I was gonna door dash Lala land bc I love their coffee but the sandwiches aren't great so I figured I'd try something new & randomly ordered from here. The way I said out loud "wow" after my first sip of coffee then again when I bit into my turkey sandwich! Seriously! Don't even go to a diff coffee shop! This place is so good!! Even with delivery the foam top was still delicious & hadn't disappeared into the coffee at all, the sandwich has the perfect amount of spice & the bread is the perfect mix of crunchy but soft! Found this coffee shop few months ago and it's been my go to spot ever since! The ambiance of this place is great, cozy and very welcoming, and the service is amazing. it's the perfect spot to study or just grab a cup of coffee with friends. Loved this new cafe! The coffee was just right--perfectly sweet with a delicious creamy top. The avocado toast was amazing, loaded with avocado and topped with a tasty balsamic glaze. They also have great pastries; I especially enjoyed the Nutella banana muffin and the pretzel croissant. The cappuccino is good and the space is comfortable. The chairs are great for longer visits. The tables are a bit crowded together, but the place is clean. It's a nice alternative to chain coffee shops. The service is good, and the avocado toast is tasty. The area is a little out of the way, so it's a nice surprise to find a spot like this. read more
