woah!!! found this place on instagram reels and it does live up to the hype. we tried the bread spot special, grilled pork, and pate & meatloaf banh mis. all of them were sooo good. the bread especially was the star of the show- fluffy, soft, and has a nice bite to it. the sticky rice was also just as good. it was super hearty and tasty. the tropical fruit tea had a good variety of fruit bits but was a little sweet for me. i'd highly recommend the banh mi and the sticky rice !!! read more

I'm always looking for a good banh mi spot cause I love my carbs! I've been a couple times already and service is always top notch. During their spot opening, they were giving away free Vietnamese iced coffee with purchase. I like getting their banh mi special and roasted pork banh mi. The meat is flavorful but I think their actual banh mi can improve. It's a tad too soft and can be baked for a bit longer. Hi we came here because we heard good things about them and were excited to try the new Banh Mi spot. Ordered the spam and egg and roast pork banh mi. The spam and egg was underwhelming flavor wise. It was lacking a sauce or something. The bread also was soggy from the egg. When I continued eating I found hair cooked into the egg. I stopped eating the banh mi at that point because it disgusted me. The roast pork was a lot better. The spicy chili that comes with it was very good. Compared to the spam and egg I give the roast pig a 4 out of 5 stars. We reached out to the store but it was hard to get a response from them. When we called we were given a number to reach out to. I mainly just wanted to get a refund for the spam and egg banh mi because I didnt eat it after finding the hair. They never got back to us or returned our messages. It was a big let down for us from their response and service. The food has potential but I think I would rather go to my tho, hoa phat or even lees. read more

I've been waiting so long for this place to open! Just missed their soft opening by 2 days. Got my buns down here today to try some of their goodies. Upon entering, I was greeted by bright asthetic decor, illuminated even more by the sunlight coming through the all glass walls. While looking up at their menu, a worker acknowledged me and handed me a laminated version which made my search easier. It was big and easy to read without my glasses. I got 2 sandwiches and a free Viet milk coffee. (Currently free with $10 or more purchase) while waiting for the order, I was sitting by the window and the sunlight was stabbing me in the eyes. I think one of the workers had noticed my discomfort, came and pulled down the window shades for me which I thought that was nice. I had been waiting a bit, since there was almost a full house now since I got there, and she probably got the feel that I was annoyed from waiting because of the way I was sitting. (With my palm rested under my chin) She apologized for the wait, but I told her " no worries, good quality food is always worth waiting for." And then I got my order. Took a few pics, And went home to devour. Hubby got the pork and I got the spam and egg. The first thing I noticed is that they cut their pickles a lot thicker, which I think made it taste better because the tartness stays in your mouth longer when you're eating the other ingredients. I think I prefer thick pickles now. Bread was great, not dry, consistency was great. Lots of egg and enough spam to last the whole sandwich to the last bite. They give you an option too if you want the veggies on the side or in the sandwich. I noticed they had some desserts n drinks in their glass display. Think I will grab a sticky rice on my next trip! For a place called Bread Spot, I'd expect the bread to be stellar...not so. Food- 3+ Presentation/Packaging- 5+ Ambiance- 5 Pros- fresh ingredients, attentive staff, clean modern interior. Food is nicely packaged but there's just too much PLASTIC. Cons- seasoning is off. The lemongrass grilled pork springrolls were quite salty w/very little sweetness. Not balanced, especially after you're hit with even more saltiness from the dipping sauce which lacks acidity. I don't taste any lime juice or vinegar in the sauce...just a sweet, watered down low quality fish sauce. Boba milk tea was watered down as well w/very soft bobas...I'd skip it. The 1st sandwich...cold cut combo....very tasty. We split the crispy pork, cold cut combo, grilled pork springrolls. Overall, a decent lunch. Would be back to try the 3-color Che and coffee and another sandwich. Too bad they don't offer a grilled beef banhmi. They're new with room for improvement. As is, I'd say it's the Panera Bread of Banhmis....not the caliber of an artisanal comfort food that's the brainchild of an obsessed chef nor some delicious secret family recipe. I don't have a back to back comparison between Bread Spot, My Tho or Hoa Phat but I'd say they safely in the top three locally. They keep the veggies in separate bags so nothing gets soggy. A nice crispy roll and they were generous with the meat in my #3 grilled pork. The pork was juicy and flavorful. Their crispy egg roll was flavorful and indeed crispy. If they can maintain their January 2026 soft opening prices, I think they will do well in a competitive field. The dine in space is very open, bright and clean. When I called to order the sandwiches for pick up, the person was understanding when I asked to not rush the order because it would take longer for me to get to the place than for them to make the sandwiches. Secondly, the place is spacious for a sandwich and coffee joint. It's a place where one could sit and read while consuming the food. The not-so-good: the sandwiches. I had ordered two specials. Most sandwiches were price at $8 to $9 and eggrolls at $1.50 each. We ordered the dac biet and crispy pork belly and requested they were cut in half so we could try both. Dac Biet - pretty good. Good quality ingredients. Needed more mayo (IMO), otherwise, this is my go to here. Crispy Pork - quality of the pork was good, but the amount of pork is less than (the inevitable comparison) you'd get from Hoa Phat. The sauce for this sandwich is superior here. I want to see if they work out the pork serving portion once they are out of "soft open" status. Iced Coffee - Nice strong coffee flavor, not too sweet. I actually wished it was slightly sweeter (coming from someone that drinks dark roast espresso). Parking - Small lot behind is accessible from the side street just west of the shop entrance. Curb parking is also available. Service - we noticed the staff was being trained (as expected, at a soft Opening). Service was quick and courteous. I'll update the review to 5 star if their pork serving size is corrected (again, in my opinion) after the 'soft Opening is done. The soft opening menu had a wide variety of choices- $8.99 for a sandwich is definitely a steal! We got the bread spot special (dac biet), crispy roasted pork sandwich, egg rolls, spring rolls, and a free vietnamese coffee since we bought over $10 worth of food. Dac biet was delicious with peppered deli meat and pork floss. Roasted pork came with a sweet sauce and the pork was nice and crispy. Egg rolls were made with chicken and were hot coming out of the bag. Spring rolls were quality for the price and a good sweet hoisin sauce. No problem, that's totally fine so I decided to add an egg roll to meet the minimum but then was told that they're all sold out of egg rolls. Bread Spot is honestly so good. I tried the grilled pork bánh mì and the crispy roasted pork with extra pâté, and both were amazing. The bread was fresh and crispy, the meat was flavorful, and adding extra pâté made it even better. Everything tasted fresh and well balanced. I also got the Vietnamese coffee and the tropical fruit tea. The coffee was strong and smooth, just how I like it, and the fruit tea was super refreshing and not too sweet. My first time here as I usually go to other places nearby. I had the grilled pork and roasted crispy pork. The cilantro, jalapenos and cucumbers were fresh and crisp. They use Persian cucumbers which was a nice touch, they are crisp and much better than the usual alternative in my opinion. The grilled pork is flavorful, stuffed generously. And the chili oil it comes with was a nice surprise. Not spicy, but a great enhancement. The crispy pork was good too, but that one I still prefer hoa phat.
