My husband and I recently bought a new house and pretty much had to do a major renovation. We recently moved to a Condominium that has a lot of deferrredMaintenance. Knowing the amount of debris that can get inside of dryer vents as well as for a spare systems I contacted Breathable for information about having a thorough cleaning. After contacting the company, I looked at the various options. I then spoke with Nir about wanting to have clean air, especially in light of the fires we have had the past several years. I wanted the Type-X Reset (Type B reset + Breathable Upgrade) which includes a thorough cleaning of the air ducks and furnace with an upgraded filtration system to accommodate a better filter. The team spent over four hours thoroughly cleaning all the air ducks and the furnace and installing the filtration to the furnace. We found that the vents were releasing heat into the walls because they were not properly insulated. The team took care of that as well and made sure that the air coming into our unit was only made up of the air from the clean furnace and air ducts and not from the old walls of the building. They upgraded the filtration system to accommodate air filters with near-HEPA performance. I feel good to know that not only are my air ducts clean now they won't get dirty nearly as fast as they did before because there's less opportunity for any dust or smoke from bad air quality to enter the system. I had my furnace serviced by a "chain" company earlier in the week but needed to get the ducts and vents cleaned. I found Breathable on Yelp and decided to go with them because of all of the stellar reviews! They were very quick to respond back with a very detailed pricing form which included a detailed description of each cleaning option. Once the guys arrived (early which was great), they went to do the cleaning and discovered that 3 of the ducts were broken and one was not even attached, therefore, heat was not getting to the location it was supposed to go. I was about to panic because I work a lot and took extra time off from work due to the Holiday & New Year and I had to get this work done ASAP before the weekend was over! The guys really hustled, went and got replacement parts and made all of the repairs in the same day! As the guys were finishing up the job, my thermostat went out!
