I've been hearing about Brew Bird and decided to stop in to check in out while I was in the area. I ended up parking on a neighboring street and walking over. They don't allow dogs inside, and when I arrived there were multiple dogs tied up outside. The inside is bright and welcoming and has a good amount of seating. I was there too early for the pottery painting, but the staff warmly greeted me and I was excited to order a coffee. They serve Camellia Coffee and I ordered a flat white to go. I took a seat by the window while I waited and in no time I was on my way with my delicious coffee. I'd love to come back with some friends to hang out, paint, and enjoy more drinks in the future. Since they're connected to Vic's I'm sure you could also enjoy some delicious ice cream.

Surprised how much I enjoyed stopping by Brew Bird after getting a scoop of ice cream from Vic's. There's an entrance from the street or you can just walk directly into the business from Vic's. I ordered a Latte and Kouign Amann, and they paired perfectly together. The latte had a great balance in taste and was creamy in texture. The Kouign Amann was light, buttery, and flakey. There is not an up charge for not getting whole milk with your drink. Service was fantastic as well. All around great and convenient stop for me.

Cute little coffee shop right on Riverside Blvd with delicious coffee. The other amazing thing is that they also offer paint your own pottery! I think any age can participate. On this occasion, I only met up with a friend for a coffee. Nice set up inside and friendly service. They also offer a few pastries. I noticed that they also serve beer so they offer both coffee and beer for their pottery class which I thought was pretty cool. My mocha was amazing....super rich, chocolately and made with oat milk per my request. Would love to paint some pottery here in the future!

Cutest little spot near land park! Perfect for a coffee and walk now that it's warmer out. We dined in and brought our own games but I saw that they also do ceramic painting which seems like a great hangout activity. Side note, a small touch that I really enjoyed was their china for pastries.

Paint porcelains and sip coffee to tea! I had a fun experience with a friend designing a coffee mug with colored glaze while sipping a matcha latte. The downside is that the glaze paint selection of 6 colors is small, but mixing the paint is alright. A plate or bowl could also be painted. Our pieces were ready in a week, and they turned out great! Coffee and tea is served from Camellia coffee. The sizes can be small. The seating is alright yet limited. Cute place, reasonable with painting

Came here over the weekend to check out the newest coffee shop in town! It's connected to Vic's so you can walk between the two when they're both open. I love the decor and design details they put in here, especially the backsplash tiles! I was a little disappointed to see they had just a normal coffee/tea menu, no seasonal or specialty drinks, but they did just open a week ago! I'll be on the lookout if they release anything because it'll definitely bring me back in, and I would love to update my review. I ordered a latte with the nectar syrup. The syrup was $1 to add on so I was hoping it would make a big difference! You really have to stir your latte well, so I just couldn't taste much until I got home and actually pulled out a straw to mix it. Once I did, it tasted much better and not like watered down espresso! I did get to try my husband's hot cappuccino and it was very smooth and creamy, we were hoping to see what beans they use here! Service was nothing too memorable, the guy who handed our coffee seemed to be the most friendly and approachable. They have a counter where you can also do pottery painting on site which is so cool! That will definitely make them stand out above all the other dozens of coffee shops in town. I couldn't see their actual pottery available besides the list of items behind the counter but you can see the paint and such laid out to grab on the counter- painting is only available between 11am-4pm though! This definitely would make a super cute spot to meet with a friend or two and have coffee and an activity in one spot. Overall 3.5 star experience but rounding up for the ambiance, pottery painting option, and the cappuccino quality. Hope they will bring out some additional items to the menu to bring me back!

I came here on a Sunday a little past 12pm. Upon entering, it was pretty lively already! The idea of having being a paint and sip (minus the alcohol) is SUCH a cute concept! We were just stopping by for some coffee and I ordered an iced vanilla latte 12 ounces alongside a Birdie (pup cup/whipped cream) for our lil doggie. Interestingly enough pets aren't allowed in the cafè. We waited off to the side, but it was fairly busy and you can see a few groups painting their pottery, a few chatting, and amongst the noise- a few people studying. Next-door is an ice cream shop as well. my drink I'd give a solid 3.9/5. Granted I know I got the most basic drink, but I do like to base a lot of stuff I visit on the most simple stuff cause you technically can't go wrong w it! I think I'm still just in a search for the perfect esspresso to milk ratio. Cute place if I was living in the area, I definitely go here once in a while. Cute aesthetic, cute and minimal menu. And great place to get some pottery painted!

This is a beautiful cafe in a tranquil, walkable area. The coffee was delicious and the pastries tasted fresh. The workers are friendly and they also have options for pottery making. This would be a great spot for a date or a morning walk with the family.

Pottery and coffee? Say less! I immediately showed up the weekend after I heard about this new coffee shop. There is currently no officially signage on the outside of the shop but they are in the same building of Vics. I ordered the mocha there the first time and it was amazing! My friend and I came to do the pottery painting on saturday morning and it was busy! They even sold out of the ceramics pieces! So I recommend coming a little earlier if youre planning to do the painting on the weekend. Their actual painting experience is completely self-lead. They do provide you with a little sheet with tips and tricks. There is a staff member there that help if you have questions. They took about a week to finish firing the piece. I came back on a weekday and it less busy and I got the mocha again and it was delicious once again. Theyre using Camellia beans for their coffee! So smooth and mellow. Makes for a very pleasant start to the day!

Brew Bird--such a cute place. Cashier was great. Great date idea since they also have ceramics you can paint. The poblano croissant was amazing--super buttery, flavorful, with a little kick to wake you up. The coffee, however, has potential. Charging a dollar for sweetener is wild... I might as well put that toward my retirement--my future self will thank me. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, but there was no vanilla sweetness. My boyfriend got one too and said the same thing. I saw some vanilla bean specks, but the flavor was on vacation. Again it could also depend on the person and their taste buds. Personally I don't like super sweet coffee, but I just a hint of sweetness especially for a dollar. Wished the vanilla syrup actually showed up.

Best kouign amann I've ever had hands down. Super cute space, very warm and inviting. Staff is very chill too. Love that's it's a pottery painting spot as well as a cafe, makes for a fun lil hangout or date spot. The drink was well crated and had a great flavor. Parking here is pretty chill, will Probally get busier as it gets warmer since it's right next to Vic's ice cream.

Coffee, tea, ceramic bowl, almond croissant

The overall vibe and experience at was fantastic. The only drawback was the limited seating options. The coffee was fresh, and the tea was enjoyable. The almond croissant, in particular, had a gooey, buttery interior that was extremely tasty. The ceramic painting added a fun touch to the visit. The staff was very kind, and wait times were reasonable. Suggestions for improvement include adding more seating, though space is limited due to it being a small, family-owned shop. Additionally, expanding the menu with options like avocado toast or breakfast sandwiches could enhance visits. However, in my two visits, everything I've tried has been excellent, and I haven't had any negative experiences. Parking is convenient, with spots across the street and a new parking area right outside the shop. definitely go early if you're going on a Saturday or Sunday, but during the week it's not as busy.

New Coffee shop just opened next to my childhood favorite Vic's ice cream shop. The new renovations are very cute and they serve local kombucha, beer and wine too. This new space offers a place to paint pottery as well. There was no line on this opening day, so service was pretty fast. Really enjoyed my decaf vanilla latte with oat milk. It was very smooth and the vanilla syrup used is from Portland. They will be transitioning to making their own vanilla syrup soon. So excited for this new spot, and to have Vic's ice cream again when the line is shorter.

I was a bit intimidated at first but with the instructor going over each step carefully, I think I came pretty close to the actual portrait. We painted a picture of a Buddha. It was my first time painting and I've never been much of an artist. My friends and I had a great time painting. They had Happy Hour prices on food and drinks during our class but we were already full from lunch we had at the restaurant beforehand. But we did have some suds, which took some of the pressure off. I highly recommend this either with friends, family, or a date. We were never rushed although we had been there for over three hours.

What a great concept. Ahead of time, you pick a project you want to do, and when you arrive, your set up and personalized stencil are ready for you. Nariné and Michelle did a pretty good job handling the group of 15. Unlike other craft nights, their help is critical through many steps of the project, so there are occasional lags in time. However, this gives you a chance to chit chat and take your time. That being said, many projects took longer than the 3 hours. We didn't feel rushed, but I do wish it had stayed closer to 3 hours. I'd recommend thinking a bit ahead of time what colors you want to use and type of paint technique you might want to use. These decisions can take a lot of time at the beginning of class.
