I live very close to Briannos and feel fortunate. The homemade soup and Tiramisu are my favorites. On a cold winter day, soup is a great meal. The Beef barley and Beef noodle are amazing. The crusty bread is a great accompaniment with the Caesar salad. The cash only policy bothered me in the beginning, but is not really a problem with the ATM there. The staff work hard to provide fresh tasty food every day except Mondays. The owner comes from Italy, near Florence, so he knows good ingredients and goes back to Italy frequently. This place is a hidden gem in Eagan. We stopped in on a rainy Sunday after getting ice cream at Ring Mountain Creamery Café. We browsed the store while our pizza order was being processed. The store is a mini version of Cossetta's in St. Paul. They sell many family ready dishes either frozen or hot. The staff was helpful and very friendly. They provided the four of us with a sample of bread and olive oil basil dipping sauce. They also asked if we would like to know more about their hot items. They took us over to the hot area and explained each of the items. That was a nice touch, while we waited for our pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza to go. This is a store, take out facility, and banquet hall. There is not a dining room for the general public. The pizza was good. Tried this pizza over at my brother's house. YUM!!! I love thin crust pizza, and this stuff was great! It was greasy, but that's okay (fat = flavor, right?). It tastes a lot like my all-time favorite thin crust, Quonset pizza in Waukegan, IL (holla! LOL). The italian sausage is really tasty and has a spicy little kick to it. If thin crust pizza is your heart's desire, you need a Brianno's fix. There's none better. Ken, Chris, Brian himself will make it to your liking. You don't care for much cheese? Not a problem. Ol' Whatshisname doesn't want *any* cheese? No problem. In addition to the pizzas, there are sandwiches, and cold meats to be sliced for you so you can make your own darned capicolla sandwich. They bake the bread all day long and it's terrific. Somehow, the heel of the loaf never sees the inside of my home. . . . If you want they'll bake it halfway and you can finish it up yourself at home. $17 will get a big one (18" diameter?) with a couple toppings. There's a small selection of Italian groceries (no produce) as well as a freezer case full of goodies to take home and heat at your leisure. During the summer on Thursday afternoons, Brianno's is a great place for lunch outside before or after you check out the fresh vegetables and flowers at the St. Paul Farmers Market satellite held in the parking lot of Mary, Mother of the Church Roman Catholic church. It's right next door. Caveat: They do not take plastic. None. No credit cards, no debit cards, no plastic. Cash or check only. Note that Brianno's can be a little tricky to find. Best Take-Out Pizza in the South Metro. Best Pasta Sauce and Meat Balls in the South Metro. The pizza is thin crust and sliced into squares. We get ours "extra crispy". This place is take-out only and it's definitely worth the drive. It is also cash or check only. The deli smells amazing when you're there. They have fresh cold pastas, deli sandwiches, Italian brand brand groceries (dry noodles, crackers, canned peppers, etc.), frozen sauces and pizzas, and tiramisu. They have take-out catering for larger events. We got mostaccioli for our daughters 2nd birthday from Briannos and it was a big hit. They also have a banquet room called the Royal Cliff where they can host wedding receptions, banquets, and other group events. read more

This is a great Italian deli. They have a few hot entrees and hot and cold sandwiches that you can get to go. There is no seating here. You can get pizzas baked or frozen. Same with pans of lasagna. I have gotten lasagna from Briannos to serve at special events in my home, and it's always a hit. Their bread is very good and you can get it sliced or unsliced. Their cheese bread is delicious. They also have some packaged and canned deli foods to use in your own homemade dishes. Be sure to bring cash or a check as they don't take credit or debit cards. read more

After all the reviews I had to check it out. Went in and saw the wide variety of sandwich options as well as pizza to either have baked there, half baked or take and bake. I checked out the menu for future knowledge and ordered some italian meats to take home. I got some capicolo, mortadella and a few others. Seemed to be at the end of their roll and they turned green in my fridge in just a couple days. Was very disappointed in that. I even had them sealed in lock n lock containers which keep things fresher, longer. Not in the case of this meat. I think it was old and past its prime when sold to me. I'm giving two stars right now b/c of the bad meat. I will go back to try their pizza, sandwiches and other things, but I will be leary about their cold cut meat and check the size of the roll before I order it. read more

So close to home and probably the best pizza within the surrounding area. Lasagna and the berry tiramisu was awesome. The rest of the place is quite nice too, you can get good quality meats and miscellaneous items like anchovies in a can. Highest quality pizza south of the river, and the go to spot for authentic Italian food stuffs. They seem to be really into their banquet hall, which is great for local brides, but I just want great pizza. Closes early (9pm) and on Mondays. Somebody should buy a franchise and sell slices - in a much better location. Cossetta's is doing OK with that business model. Again though, quality motz, sauce, and hand made everything. Great Italian deli! All of their food is delicious and authentic....great deli meats that are always fresh and used to make their great sandwiches. We have been going here ever since moving to Eagan 18 years ago and they have been consistent in outstanding quality and great service. Of very special note: (1) their homemade sausage is second to none. I have not purchased Italian sausage anywhere else since finding Brianno's. It is the best flavored Italian sausage I have found. It can be purchased in bulk or in casing......this stuff is GREAT! (2) their homemade bread is great. (3) their homemade Italian wedding soup - they sell this frozen and we usually purchase several containers a month. This is delicious and flavorful with big chunks of chicken in a savory broth and small pasta. (4) their selection of fresh Italian cheeses. I've been to Brianno's twice now and have enjoyed the food. The bread and basil vinaigrette are absolutely amazing. I could put that vinaigrette on anything! So good. Pizza was alright (I had a pepperoni and sausage), I picked up a frozen one and it was certainly good, but nothing amazing. Rather expensive for a thin crust pizza and the size of it. I've gotten the tortellini in the deli twice and both times have not been very impressed. It was dry (even after shaking it up with the dressing) and very plain. Both times I've poured the basil vinaigrette in it to give it more flavor. It seems to be dressed in more of a plain pesto that isn't very good. I didn't realize they didn't take credit cards and the cashier didn't say anything while I was holding it the entire time he packed up my stuff. I was able to get cash but it's annoying to pay the fees when the prices are not cheap there. I would give them 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable, and they took credit cards. Without question, THE BEST PIZZA! We discovered this little gem several years ago when we lived in the area and fell in love with it! We now live in Mound and still drive to Eagan whenever possible just to pick up pizza! Comments are gifts to business owners. Unfortunately some don't consider negative comments a way to grow. Ordered GF pizza from Brianno's 3 weeks ago and again Saturday night. Eating it both times I looked like my dog gnawing on a piece of rawhide. Called to let them know I was unhappy with the product change and the manager was defensive saying he had not heard any other complaints. I have been a faithful customer after living 3 blocks away for years. Even bought a red tee shirt from the previous owner. They had a cheese change awhile ago that was nearly inedible so I didn't order for a few weeks but did call to let them know it just wasn't the same quality I had come to know. But now, the GF crusts. Oh my goodness. The manager was short tempered defending their product change and was snarly with me when I shared my displeasure. Listen to your customers. I didn't call to ask for a refund. Only to tell you the quality of your product is NOT the same. Goodbye Brianno's. read more

First time here and it was really good! Sandwiches are huge and the 1/2 portion will leave you totally stuffed! Their fresh bread and basil vinaigrette is so good I would come back just for that alone. Staff is knowledgeable and very nice.
