    Potato Salad

A great neighborhood bsr in downtown Reno serving up a phenomenal burger AND they have Guinness on tap! They have specials to keep things interesting but the burgers clearly rule the roost here Personal favorite is The Works. A bacon cheeseburger with an Ortega green chile! Delicious! They don't offer fries but have tater tots snd an amazing homemade potato salad. I would have probably given 4 stars but the Guinness puts them over the top for me!

Its a local dive bar known for burgers. The food was good. Not the best ever though. I ordered the burger (no cheese) and was asked to choose a side (fries, tots and or some other choices that I cannot recall now.) I picked the tots. My dining partner ordered the Quesadilla w chicken. It was meh. Plain jane and quite pedestrian. I don't recommend. I had a Beer. She had the Nutrl. Drink meu looks as expected. Drinks were cold. Great staff. Lana and Katie. Both did a fabulous job with great, friendly attitudes and smiles a mile wide. Ok here's where it goes south and quickly too...... The menu shows one price for the cheese burger. (remember I asked for no cheese) My bill showed an increased price for the burger (minus cheese!?) I spoke with Lana and she apologized profusely. She explained that if you get tots as the side there is an up charge. Nowhere on the menu does it reflect this and when my order was taken, I was asked for what side I wished for. When I said "tots" she did not warn me or even mention that there was an up charge for this side. So, as most would, I assumed that it came with the meal as shown on the menu. She had mentioned that they have brought this to the attention of the management and owners but to the date of my dining there they have not addressed it. I have to say this is my A-NUMBER ONE PET PEEVE!!! Don not try the bait and switch. This is a shady practice and many diners, I am sure, do not pay attention to their bills to the extent that I do. So, take warning that you should check you bill against the menu when cashing out. Once again the staff was great. Respectful and totally understood and were very apologetic. (its close to tip time so....) Bottom line, the bill was adjusted. HOWEVER, It's the point though. This kind of practice is not cool. I might return but not until they make new menus or stop up-charging with out notice.

I've only recently been introduced to Brickies, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite local bars. It's what you would call a hole in the wall bar, but in the best way. There's nothing fancy about it, the bar and staff are down to earth, you will most likely be surrounded by regulars, and surprisingly I always see a family or two in here enjoying dinner, which I think is great. Brickies has something for everyone with a broad menu to choose from, drink specials, good beers on tap, and plenty of space. I've haven't eaten a meal here yet, but look forward to trying some of the food and from what I've seen and smelled it looks appetizing. Plan on updating my review after a meal, but I have nothing but great things to say about the bartenders, always friendly and attentive, and I always seem to strike up a friendly conversation with someone when I'm here. A must stop for a local Reno bar experience!

    Bloody marry

This place has some good burger ratings so I decided to check it out on a late Saturday morning. Overall the atmosphere is great for a dive bar and my bloody marry was made great. Burger toppings came on the side which I appreciated. However the grill was dirty as my burger had black crunchies on it and I could taste the gas from the grill. Salad was delicious but my fork was dirty to begin with. Overall might be worth another try.

Always a solid choice for breakfast or lunch. Small little spot. Full bar and delicious food. This bar gives you that small town feel. Lots of regulars come to watch sports and chat with staff. They've got drink specials and a full bar

Bacon cheeseburger. Don't get more classic than this. And I'm a tots guy so extra points.

Food was exactly what I was looking for. Classic bar burger. Service was good. Attentive bartender. I mean it's nothing fancy. But for a good food and beer with a slot bar. My fav. The ambiance will do. Def gonna be back. I've walked in twice before and couldn't get a seat at the bar. Glad I did today.

We were downtown last week and had the pleasure of eating at Brickie's again. The staff was great and kept us laughing and engaged the whole time. Love this hole in the wall. Give it a try.

It has been at least 20 years since my previous trip to Brickies. To set the stage, it is a small locally owned tavern, 14 seats at the bar and 7 high tables. It is clean and screams sports, dive and gambling tavern. There is a good amount of off street parking and is just far enough away from downtown to stave off the riffraff. Very friendly staff that was 100% attentive throughout our visit. Our server was so attentive to all of the patrons that that he brought water to a service/seeing eye dog seated next to us. The issues we had to day was the food. We ordered tater-tots and they were out. I am not sure if the cook was unfamiliar with cooking the fries that they replaced them with, but they came out underdone, soggy and greasy. I think they were cooked in an oven as opposed to hot oil. The chicken fingers for the same reason came out cooked but with soggy coating. On the a better note the burger was cooked well and had a great flavor.

Brickies Tavern on 6th is right downtown. The staff is over the top friendly & service is lightening quick. The bartender knew every customer's first name and greeted them as they entered. Being a tavern, they have every brew known to man. For the non-drinkers, it's Coke products. The bar has gaming. The food is incredibly excellent. Finally, a burger better than the awful-awful & there's no grease to soak through the bottom bun !! The music is low volume & the wall of TV's is all about sports. *All the inside tables are high tops, so the physically challenged be warned. The premise is aged but spotlessly clean. Don't let the neighborhood scare you off. Their parking lot is attached along with a covered patio. Once again, this is the friendliest business we've patronized in recent memory. This is a locally owned business. Please give Brickie's a try !!!

I dont know what changed, the quality of the burger has seriously gone down hill. Now its way over priced for what you get.

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! You have earned a few new fans today.

Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

Brunch is all day on Sundays however they do have a lunch menu starting at 12pm, so we ordered from each menu. The ahi nachos were great, thick pieces of tuna and a great sauce drizzled over. When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

I tried the McIsley (fried chicken, dill pickles, ground mustard, honey) and nearly passed out from pure bliss. The biscuit is golden brown on the outside while warm and pillowy within. You'll need a fork and knife, but the menagerie of sweet and savory building blocks will come together any which way you deconstruct it. My wife tried The Chatfield (fried chicken, cheddar, bacon, apple butter) and was equally content. The Oregon Marionberry jam was a tart yet sweet customized side, and I much enjoyed the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese to round off the plate. The breading is evenly blasted with seasoning and the tomatoes themselves are plump but not the least bit soggy. Without a doubt though, the service was unmatched. They handled a line going out the front door with class, getting us tables before we even ordered to remove the burden of seat searching and our food getting cold. They checked on the dining area promptly though they didn't have to. The staff's hospitality matches the southern inspo of the food! We sat outside and enjoyed the slight breeze as the heavenly baked aromas of the kitchen wafted outside. Overall, an 11/10 experience. Love biscuits? Run, don't walk!

Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that first experience. The atmosphere just wasn't very inviting, and the biggest disappointment was the silverware it was visibly dirty. It almost feels like this might be one of those places that's better suited for takeout than dining in. The gentleman that took our order must have been having a bad day the service was brass to say the least . For me, the overall experience just didn't justify another dine-in visit, so if I ever have Pine State Biscuits again, it'll probably be to-go.
