Was our last review a fluke? Nope. 5-stars all the way. Today I had the So Good omelet, hold the onions. Rye toast. Wife had Benedict with ham and side of fruit instead of potatoes. Both of us had cappuccinos. Everything was fabulous! Fruit tasted like summer (in the middle of January). What will we try next time? Can't imagine it won't also be wonderful. read more

I don't think I ever had a bad food here in the over 15 years that I have been coming here. Great breakfast and brunch place for two people or up to a small group of six or eight. If you are new to this place, be patient and prepared to wait to be seated on weekends. This place is, as far as I can remember, always busy on weekends and holidays. That is a good sign that people trust this place and keep coming back. I am one of those people who goes back. There are a few places around Bristol that I think are good places to bring your family and friends, but this place is on my short list for traditional American breakfast. Of all the variety if items in the menu, two on my list of favorites are the french toast and eggs benedict. Many egg dishes, of course. Many side dishes at reasonable prices. I was able to substitute their hime fries with small fruit cups for s few dollars. Overall the food is 4, but watch out for long wait to be seated and slow service on weekends due to staff shortage that seems to happen from time to time. read more

In the heart of Bristol the Bristol Sunset Cafe stands out as a great breakfast/ brunch cafe. It is a cute cafe that has amazing food, coffee and baked goods. It is always packed, especially on the weekends. I always suggest to get there before 10 am on the weekends or call for take out! There usually is a table or two to sit outside otherwise they have a dining area. Every time I go in there I always see someone I know or recognize, which is one thing I love about Bristol! The crab cake Benedict was incredible. First, the crab cakes were cooked perfectly. You could taste the fresh crab meat in the cake. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the egg yolk ran into the cake and English muffin so everything was nice and moist. The homefries were seasoned nicely and the salad was very light, which was a nice pairing with the heavy Benedict. This was such a filling breakfast and it made me ready for my day!! read more

Love this place! My husband and I go here every couple of weeks. I usually get the same thing everytime (why mess with perfection). Today, as I was looking at the menu, something different caught my eye, #7. Although I wasn't ready to replace my go to meal, I opted for a side of the hash, "butternut squash and cornbread hash with broccoli, caramelized onions and pepperjack cheese". No idea who came up with this combination, but it is amazing! I just may get the number 7 next time we go. My go to breakfast in Bristol. The foods always good, without fail. I've never had a bad meal. Great breakfast & lunch options - it's always hard to decide what to get. Although it can be difficult to get in on the occasion, it's always worth the wait. Food comes out quickly. It's always clean. Wait staffs always friendly. Their Benedict's & their Turkey Sandwich are super great options. Highly recommend. Their specials are always good too. This place is so cute. A cross between a trendy cafe and a diner. Breakfast and lunch and brunch all day. We had a butternut squash hash with 2 fried eggs, and a spinach and feta omelet with sourdough toast. My only complaint is that the home fries tasted like they were cooked on the same griddle as bacon or smoked sausage and as a vegetarian I wasn't comfortable eating them. Next time I will be sure to say that I am vegetarian before placing my order. read more

We grabbed lunch while we were picking up our free iced coffees (thank you, RI Food Fights Ice Coffee Challenge!), and I'm glad we did. We ate t one of the three outdoor tables, so service - while attentive to our needs - was a bit slow. The iced coffees can in disposable cups (straws required because there weren't strawless sipping covers) but our cream came to the table in a cute pitcher-sized glass milk bottle. Water was offered too; we didn't have to ask for it. Our menus were plastic, pre-COVID menus, and meals were served on ceramic plates, with metal flatware, so it actually felt like restaurant dining again. Yes! (Hand sanitizer was available on both sides of the counter, and things were carefully wiped down, no worries!) I had an arugula salad with walnuts, goat cheese, and a beautifully presented avocado half. The house balsamic dressing wa good. I was extremely satisfied with my lunch. The hubby had a veggie wrap with fries (he had a choice of fries, chips or - for a small upcharge - a side salad). He said it was good, but that he thought the menu said the wrap had humus but his sandwich either had a super-thin layer or none. The fries were crispy, with a soft center. We had no wait at all to order, but we were having lunch on a Monday. This place will be packed on the weekend since it's such a comfortable breakfast spot. I'm visit again since we love walking around Bristol, whether we ride our bikes to the nearly bike path or drive down for the water. Next visit, I'm having an omelet since they looked great on many tables when I walked inside for the restroom. read more

Every single visit has been impressive and fantastic. The service is great - attentive but not overly chatty, we never waited for anything we needed. The food is just so good. I saw someones review mentioning they have homemade multigrain bread and not sure why, but that's how we choose this place!! I get eggs bene no matter where I go for breakfast, the flavors here were very good and bright. The home fries had more flavor than your regular diner home fries and had nice crispy bits. I also got an iced coffee, nothing special but still could. Wish they had a liquid sugar option. My boyfriend got the hashdog breakfast sandwich, subbing in for the homemade bread. The eggs in the sandwich were scrambled and fluffy. He almost couldn't finish because the serving was huge! There were yummy snacks in the display case, pastries and muffins and such. If I weren't so stuffed I would have taken more goodies home with me. Or I also heard they sold their bread too, yum. The staff here were VERY friendly, service on point. There's nothing that would stop me from not coming here again when in town. We didn't get them but their specials looked very good and creative. Street parking FYI. read more

First off, let me begin by saying that this has been my favorite breakfast place to visit in the area for the past 2 years. I refer this place to everyone, but going forward I doubt that I will especially because of my experience today. I went in today for a brunch with my niece and 4 year old daughter, we were sat at the table by the door and I asked the host and server if they could possibly move us to a table further from the entrance due to the fact that the door was always opening and we were cold, especially my daughter! I understand that this is a very busy place, hence I made a reservation. Both the Host and Server said yes they would move us as soon as a table is available, I asked before any drinks or food was ordered. We were never moved, the host never came back and proceeded to stare at us without a word! The Server was inattentive and was very unpleasant, yet never once brought up moving us again. Once I realized we weren't being moved, I still came here for an experience, so I proceeded to order beverages and food. I was so disappointed at the quality that I could barely finish my plate! The home fries were burnt and the corn beef hash had more potatoes than hash. read more
