Bristol Sunset Café is one of my favorite breakfast spots around. My girlfriend and I love grabbing a salted maple latte to go, it's easily one of the best drinks on the menu. The food is consistently excellent. The butternut squash omelet is packed with flavor and always a standout. I also really like the #7, the Portuguese Benny, lemon curd French toast, and the sweet bread French toast, everything comes out fresh and really well done. The corned beef hash and chourico hash are both delicious and great if you're in the mood for something more savory and hearty. They also had a recent maple-based special that I can't remember the exact name of, but it was just as good as everything else on the menu. Overall, you really can't go wrong here. Great food, great drinks, and a solid go-to breakfast spot in Bristol.

Mallory our server made our day, and breakfast delightful!!!

Great place to Nosh in Bristol Ri, wait time is a bit horrendous but when seated.... relief servers attentive and kind, got a window table Coffee is very good, mimosa's too our first time here so more about the food later. Get here early, leave name and cell number if you've a long wait time, you can stroll to nearby shops. Mallory was indeed an awesome server....it was busy

Great food, friendly service, casual/modern atmosphere. Portions are generous but also pricier for breakfast. There is a bit of pressure to eat quickly and leave due to the long waitlist. Maybe that was because our table was near the door, so we were hyper aware of parties just standing and waiting. The wait can be incredibly long, so highly recommend you use the waitlist feature ahead of your visit. We dined on a Sunday - added our party of 3 to the waitlist around 9:20, our seating time was estimated to be 10:30, and we were sat about then. A very accurate estimate. There's no waiting area inside, so I do not recommend arriving early.

Yes! Go here! Be prepared to wait for a table at busy times, but this was delicious. I got take out to bring to colt state park (just make sure you ask for utensils if you don't have them in your car). There is a full bar area and a bunch of tables plus a couple small tables outside. I got the "so good sandwich" and the "so good" was an understatement . It was delicious! The perfect breakfast sandwich. I added the avocado and got the side of home fries. The home fries were soft and flavorful. They could have sold more time on the griddle to get crispy but even without that I could eat a bucket of them. We also got the OG Benny which was tasty. They put the hollandaise sauce on the side which was a great take out idea. Coffee was nothing special but good and not super expensive compared to other places for a latte. I will definitely be back!

Coffee formulation maybe pumpkin spiced latte.

We have been going to the Sunset Cafe for a few years now and I just realized that I have never written a review. IMHO it is hands down the best breakfast place in this area. It is relatively large with a nice sized counter. Plenty of space that is comfortable. Service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and looking to get you whatever you need. Now onto the food and drink. Coffee formulations are amazing per my wife. I just drink Red-eyes. The breakfast offerings are all good. It really doesn't matter what you order. It will be perfectly prepared. My favorites are the veggie omelette made with egg whites and a side of corned beef hash. The hash is made by them and it is simply fabulous. Eggs are always made as you ordered which is unique these days. The home fries are amazing as well with a perfect blend of spices. If you go on the weekend, do the call ahead seating. Otherwise, you will be waiting for a while. Give it a try

Popped in for a quick Black Friday brunch and it did not disappoint! We chose this spot for its great reviews and the short walk from our Airbnb. The service was fast, the food was spot-on, and there wasn't much of a crowd. We joined the online waitlist and got seated quickly. There's a lovely waterfront area nearby too--can't wait to come back in the summer when it's even nicer.

    Cozy and inviting decor!

Ordered the clam chowder which was very good. It leans towards a Rhode Island Chowder, which I prefer vs. the creamy New England Chowder. Nice flavor, and the dice chourico was visible . I only found it a bit salty and it was served with a Portuguese roll. I also ordered the Cacoila sandwich which was also served with on a Portuguese roll and I opted for the seasoned fries which were very tasty. The pork was tender and flavorful, but again a bit salty for me. I don't use a lot of salt and my tolerance and taste of salt is low. Otherwise the sandwich & chowder had some nice flavors.

Tt has everything you'd want from a great coffee shop: comfortable seating, plenty of room to spread out and work, a rentable conference room, and something you would not expect from a coffee shop, the Aurora Bar, stocked with a nice selection of local spirits and other favorites. My partner and I stopped in for a quick nibble for lunch on Sunday and this was perfect. My partner went with the Caprese sandwich, which is served on a pressed ciabatta with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, spinach, pesto mayo, and balsamic. It was simple and tasty, and I was lucky enough to get a couple bites! I went with the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, which was also simple, but packed with flavor. It had all the obvious ingredients with the addition of pickles, which added such a nice briny little punch and really hit the spot. Something worth noting: both of our items were ordered from the laminated menu at the register, not in the beautiful leather-bound Aurora Bar menu, which appears to be an evening menu with cocktails and other tasty food items. For drinks, I went with an espresso tonic; the slight bitterness of the quinine plays really nicely against the bold espresso, and it's one of those combinations that's refreshing in a way that's hard to explain until you try it. One small note for the team: the Riverside location has always had a real warmth and cohesion to the staff that I haven't quite felt at Bristol. It's not a dealbreaker by any stretch, but a little more energy behind the counter would go a long way. Still a five-star spot, as the coffee and the space more than make up for it.

The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.

When we first showed up, it wasn't super busy, but the place was starting to get full, and we DID have to get a reservation to ensure that we weren't waiting/to make sure we were at our next spot on time. A fun little addition to this restaurant is that they also double as an ice cream shop which would have been the PERFECT dessert for me if I wasn't so full after my dinner. The indoor seating we were put in was a high top, but it was just enough room to seat 5 people comortably. I ordered the Bayview Burger paired truffle fries (chose to upgrade from normal fries), and it was the absolute most perfect choice! I also tried the Brussel Sprouts, but I would say if you like them crispy all the way through, these were not. I also had a fun mocktail with a dragonfruit (unfortunately can't find the name of the drink, but the picture is below) to pair with my food--I will say that while it was tasty, it was pretty sweet but was the perfect pair with my Bayview Burger, which was a bit on the saltier side. The only downside to our experience is that once it did start getting pretty busy in the restaurant, the service was much much slower (which is a given with how busy it was) and we had to ask a different waiter to help us get our check and head out. Other than that, it was a wonderful choice for dinner and I would recommend this restaurant anytime!

The eggs in both meals weren't cooked through, and the flavor-free meals took 20 minutes to arrive. When we tried to pay with a card the waitress inexplicably waved it aside and said, "I'll be back," but since we didn't want to wait the half hour we figured it would take for her to return we paid in cash, left a less than 10 percent tip (we usually tip 25-30% for good service) and left.
