"I have a Jensen Healey..." That's usually as far as I get when calling for service or repairs. My man Chad at BMC not only said ok, he went out and bought a parts car to get familiar with it before he took on my clutch replacement. Fantastic communication through out and unbelievable results. I can't believe its the same car. It has never shifted as smoothly as it does now and I have had it for 30 years! It is a joy to drive around again. I can't recommend them enough and they will be getting all my business for as long as they want it. True mechanics and great guys who just want you to be able to drive your car without fear. British Motor Care really does care about British cars, but even more important cares about customers. proprietor Chad, his wife and all of the mechanics there are folks I would want as personal friends. BMC works on a wide range of British cars and does work from the most simple to the full restoration. The work is always done well and done right. Several of their restorations have won car shows! Finally, BMC is very fairly priced. Tgeir work may include advice which is always invaluable and generally not part of the bill. As the owner of a 1967-Austin Healy 3000, that I've owned for many years, I recently for the first time, had the opportunity to have Chad and Bill work on a number of issues that my car required. They did a terrific job. There was significant wear in the front end suspension. They did an entire rebuild. The car tracks perfectly now and handles like it's a brand new car. They took care of some break problems that other shops had not been able to solve and installed new carpeting and interior door panels, bringing the interior back to like new condition. Chad has been so helpful with my first vintage car, '69 MGB GT!! I spoke with him on a Saturday and he was able to take a look Sunday. By Monday night my car was ready to be picked up and when I went by Chad explained everything in detail. He also listed what other repairs are needed but can be done more slowly. He absolutely respected my budget and was encouraging when I asked about home repairs; honest when it came to the bigger stuff that will require some more expertise. Buying a vintage car for someone with really minimal mechanically experience can be terrifying but having a skilled, enthusiastic mechanic makes such a difference! I've owned my 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MK III for 29 years. I've had lots of work done to it all over the Portland area - and I've never experienced such fantastic, enthusiastic customer service as provided by Chad. I needed some rust repair done to the frame and an outrigger. Based on my previous experience with other shops around town, I expected it to take weeks and cost thousands of dollars. Chad completed the work, (which looks great !), in 6 days and for a very, very reasonable price. I'm going to need some additional work done soon and I won't hesitate to take it back to Chad. Chad and his crew have working on my 1969 MGB from the "dark side". It has a Camaro 3.4L V6 motor and T5 transmission and Miata seats so not exactly standard and he has approached working on it with patience and enthusiasm. Customer service is not a thing of the past! I couldn't get my Mini started to bring it in for repair, so Chad drove all the way from NE Portland to Hillsboro. He had me up and running in 20 minutes. Who else do you know that makes house calls?! Billy did outstanding work when he rebuilt my engine last year. He took care to stay within my budget and gave it back to me clean and running strong. I just haven't driven it enough this last year to keep it running. Now it is all fired up and ready for ABFM. I am so happy to have my car in such capable hands. read more

I was so glad to find BMC for my 1982 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit! It was the first time I found a mechanic who was actually enthusiastic about trying to fix my car - which needed an alternator rebuild.
