Came for HH 2:30-5:30. Prices in the menu below. Staff friendly. Ordered the house red wine $6. Merlot-decent pour. The banh mi tacos $8 and trio sliders $13 were pretty good. Average noise. A good place for HH in Walnut Creek.

Gold Rush Burger with duck patty and side of BANH MI FRIES.

Walnut Creek's Broderick Roadhouse is undoubtedly my "go-to" restaurant for American cuisine within the East Bay. I find that experimenting with Broderick's variety of speciality burgers, fries and milkshakes provides a superb customer experience. Personally, I'm always excited to try a different protein patty (bison, duck, lamb etc.) My Gold Rush Burger with duck patty was cooked and stacked perfectly but I could barely taste the Mac & cheese in the burger. Because I equally craved pulled pork, I therefore had the Banh Mi fries as a side. My meal was hearty, flavorful and well presented. The service was efficient and outside seating area was kept clean. I will definitely return to Broderick to try another burger.

Mmmm...if you want an excellent burger, this is the place. This is the second time that I've been here when I was in the area and this time I tried the Johnny Cash burger- beef patty (cooked medium to my liking), white cheddar, thick applewood bacon, pickled sweet peppers, and homemade bbq sauce, and fried onion crisps. This type of burger is my go-to and I wasn't disappointed. So good and I didn't even request most bbq sauce because it was flavorful enough and not dry (like others make it). My friend got the grilled fish tacos and enjoyed them. Looked delicious and he was satisfied. We were seated quickly at the bar to watch the playoffs and all the servers were checking on us pretty regularly. We were well taken care of. Excellent place to go all around and we will come back when we're back in the area.

It was the best burger I have tasted in a while! Really appreciate the staff really know about allergies. I asked for gluten free options and they were able to tell me the fryers were shared so it won't be good for Celiac ppl. I got Johnny Cash, substitute with gluten free bun ($1) and vegan cheese ($2). The burger was very tasty. I will definitely be back!

My boyfriend talked me into coming here for lunch one day and told me about the banh mi fries. Told me to keep an open mind, it is not banh mi and just wow! It was delicious, definitely not banh mi but it has the flavor! Really surprised! Everything we ordered was delicious. Our waitress was in training and she was the sweetest! Will definitely come back to try more items on the menu and get the banh mi fries again :).

Went on Friday afternoon with BB and made it just in time for happy hour around 2:30. Started with an ice-cold Corona for $7, which always hits. I ordered my usual, the Johnny Cash burger -- cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, onion rings, and BBQ sauce. I asked for the BBQ and chili slaw on the side and the patty cooked well done. Tastes good every time. The fries were crispy, well seasoned, and exactly what they should be. BB ordered her usual as well, the Gold Rush burger, which comes topped with mac and cheese, cheddar, and bacon -- pretty sure the mac and cheese is the real reason she orders it. Service was good and efficient, even though it was crowded as usual. Food came out quickly. Parking can be hectic, so plan ahead. Overall, worth it. Will definitely be back.

Come here if you're craving a hearty meal! The patriot burger is a MUST-TRY. Stay with me here: creamy peanut butter, spicy jam on a bacon burger with fried onion curls. The perfect mix of lightly sweet and savory with a crunch! We came here on a busy Sunday with the restaurant packed already, and we got seated right away inside, which I appreciated because it was a full 50 degrees cold out. Both the burgers and the restaurant feel upscale and creative. Leather booth seating and high bar stools are available. The menu has diverse options, so we opted to try the patriot burger with banh mi fries, the bbq Mac and cheese burger with garlic fries, and a creamsicle milkshake. Our waiter was impressively attentive with coming by often to check on us.

An average burger/sandwich place. I ordered the fish sandwich. It was $21, but the fish is very thin! The taste is ok, a lot of fries. And don't call normal fries "naked fries"! Call it what they are, FRIES!! Don't reinvent the wheel! And the fires are very dry. Anyway the sandwich is ok, just too small fish bread ratio. The service is nice, place is lively. Won't visit again though! Plenty of other better places nearby!

I've been coming here since 2022, and they still have the best lamb burger I've ever had! I usually stick to the same order, and it's always consistently delicious and flavorful. Service is fast and welcoming every time I walk through the door, which I really appreciate. They also have a bar area where you can sit, eat, grab a drink, and watch the game or just unwind after a long day.

Stopped by Broderick in Walnut Creek and had a great experience. We sat at the bar and were quickly served a Mule Kick (perfect ginger bite) and an Irish coffee that was smooth and well-balanced. For lunch, I had the Old School Burger, was cooked perfectly and paired with their house-made pickles. My partner ordered the Turkey Bacon Burger, and the Applewood smoked bacon was tasty and crunchy. Even though the place was busy, the staff was attentive and clearly working hard, which showed in the quality of the food and drinks. Overall, an exceptional visit, definitely be back!

This was a tasty meal so why the 3 stars? We waited a bit to have our order taken, server was prompt with our drinks but then sat for like 10 mins before he came back, when he did we gave him our order, he then came back and said someone distracted him so he forgot it (why not write it down like the other servers) and recanted it with a few things we didn't ask for so we repeated the order again. Later he used the same line at the table next to us and to be honest no one distracted him or talked to him I know because I was trying to get his attention to ask for something after we got the food which someone else got instead. Sister's burger was yummy she got a basic burger and said it was juicy and she liked the upgrade to her fries. I had the Desperado fries- and though coated with things they stayed crunchy, the steak was yummy though I wish it had a little more for the price. Not sure if there were refills to our drinks as we weren't asked but a hat tip to the food runners they were super nice and helpful. We came for lunch and they were busy so maybe on a slower paced day service could have been better and more prompt? Due to lack of parking options and ample offerings in the area we may not make a particular stop here.

    Chilaquiles - not good

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing on an off day, but brunch here missed the mark for me. Starting with service - while it was nice that we were seated within 10 minutes, no one came to take our order. After patiently waiting for 15 minutes, I had to flag down a server to take our order. We shared the bacon mac & cheese (3/5) as a starter which was poorly presented (looked very unappealing) and disappointing in taste. I got the chilaquiles (3/5) which were bland and not good. I regret my order and wish I had tried their burger. We were considering dessert when looking at the menu, but after the food was so disappointing, we got the check so we could get dessert elsewhere. I won't come back for brunch, but I might give their burger a chance in the future since people seem to like them.

    Can we make a reservation!?

No. But usually won't need them, staff is great at turning tables. If you're in a time crunch, you order online for pickup on their website.

Do they still have the chopped cheese?

    Yes we do.

I thought the duck burger wasnt served anymore . Is it on the menu all the time now?

Unless something recently changed, it’s always been available

Do you have gluten free bread and/or buns?

    Yes

Is there an area to eat and bring your dog?

There is a outside area where you can eat

Can you eat off the regular menu during brunch hours?

    Yes, absolutely !

Do you serve only the brunch menu during brunch weekend hours or is the other menu available also?

Brunch menu is available weekends only!

Do they have an option to make a reservation?

Yes, I called in for a reservation.

    Do they have bottomless mimosas?

Unfortunately no. They have a good selection of drinks but no bottomless mimosas. My best friend and I love bottomless mimosas for brunch. Otherwise it's a great place to go.

Do they have a kids menu?

Yes they have a kids menu and it's very simplistic. I hope this helps. RR-:)

Do you have any vegan burgers?

    Yes

    How many TVs?

4 TVs total. 2 at the bar, one in the corner, and a smaller one near the entrance. If you are coming to watch a game, the bar would be the best place to sit because it's hard to watch those TVs if you are sitting anywhere else.

I see that they have gluten free buns. Are all of their fries gluten free also?

Double check with your server, but I think most - but not all - of the fries are gluten free. The Poutine Fries are definitely not gluten free because of the gravy, but most everything else should be safe.

    Peanut allergy friendly?

    Yes it is

    Do they re-fill growlers?

No. Only breweries can fill growlers and they don't brew their own beer. Calicraft is currently the only place to get growlers filled in Walnut Creek.

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.

I'm so glad we ended up across the street. It's an open area restaurant with a very large wraparound bar and rooftop deck seating overlooking downtown. Despite it being windy and chilly, we didn't get cold at all. I regret not taking photos of the restaurant itself as the ambience was so unique. We ordered 3 appetizers and no mains. Fried calamari, heirloom tomatoes with burrata and roasted brussel sprouts. Calamari: batter was a bit darker than most I've had, but consistency and crispness the same. Don't know if they used extra paprika for the color. The calamari was tender and a good contrast to the batter. The real star was their tartar sauce which was so yummy we asked for more. Tomato salad: this dish was just about perfect. What you can't see well in the photo is the burrata sitting on a bed of pesto. The pesto is arugula-based, making it much milder and not so basil-forward, which we appreciated. Brussels sprouts: It's not the best we've had but I would still order it again, if nothing more than to get those insane bacon chunks that came with the vegetables. I had the spicy maracuya and hubby had the Irish goodbye as drinks. Both wonderfully done, but I especially liked the Irish goodbye which was their take on a manhattan - instead of bourbon they used whiskey, and threw in some green chartreuse along with the vermouth. We'll have to try to recreate this at home. Service was friendly, but the server didn't check up on us. They looked understaffed. All in all, we would be sure to go back, and drag some friends with us.
