This lively breakfast and brunch nook has good energy. It was about 1/4 full and there were several staff bustling about. One chick seemed to be taking a long time talking to a guy at the counter as she poured him beer. But everyone else was really moving. One wall is all windows making this very place bright and there were also a dark corner (which I was offered, as I am a single woman) . The music was things I like (stuck in the middle with you.) however the music was too loud for my taste. I ordered something that the menu identified to be a local favorite on the spicy side. I was disappointed in the huevos rancheros. While the eggs were cooked perfectly, the cooked ranchero sauce looked and tasted dull. It had the heat of mild canned chilies, which aren't hot, even a little. My mom made her own ranchero sauce and I know how delicious it can be made out of cans. The rice was more orange than I prefer and was also dull. I didn't eat so much of it. The beans, my favorite part of the meal, was served in a bowl! It had maybe 1/16 of a teaspoon of cotija cheese. Not enough to even add a modicum of flavor. I poured the beans onto the plate in order to eat. A squeeze of lemon, some fresh herbs: cilantro or even parsley would have done a great deal to brighten up this meal. These are the features I expect going to a restaurant. I was also disappointed in the cheap napkins. I used the sole napkin to dab water then my pants after I dropped a little egg yolk onto my lap. The napkin had no integrity. It dissolved is on my pants, leaving white remnants. Ick. Getting a waiter to my table took time. I had almost finished my coffee before he showed up so I could order. Awesome breakfast here this past week before catching a flight. Our server Jennifer was great and very personable. The inside of the restaurant was very clean, and it wasn't super busy the morning we went which was nice. Had the Californian Omelet which was loaded with delicious ingredients-home fries, bacon, cheese, and then topped off with sour cream and an avocado-YUM! Good portion size and pricing was very reasonable. You get a choice of a couple sides as well and I had sourdough toast which is my favorite. My food was cold and bland and my one kid ordered blue berry pancakes and they gave her two pancakes with blueberries layered in the middle and on top. Really, all you have to do is add the berries right before cooking, it's not hard. Their system was down when we were there and I waited over 45 minutes before telling the server they needed to figure something out because I was not going to wait any longer. I didn't have cash, and I had to go through my order manually with the server and tally it up to pay old school with my cc numbers. On the plus side they did give me a 30% discount by the time my card was charged, but I won't be going back because the food was just not good. read more

Had a really awful experience here. I've ordered catering from another location so I was really looking forward to trying this one. It took literally an hour for our food to come out and we had to ask about it twice. The servers did not seem to notice or care that we were one of the few tables without food for a long period of time and they forgot to bring my arnold palmer which I ordered right when we sat down. I waited 30 minutes before finally asking about it and it still took them another 15 minutes to bring it out. All of our food was extremely mediocre and my friend found two pebbles in her huevos rancheros...literally rocks in her food. We didn't say anything because we simply didn't want to wait even longer for them to bring a new one, but it was gross. I found an eyelash in my hasbrowns. The toast was barely toasted and almost soggy in the middle somehow. They got my order wrong too and gave me sausage instead of bacon. I asked for a side of bacon and the bacon they brought out was not crispy at all. We could tell it was going to take them forever to bring our check so we went up front to pay and the workers at the front took about 10 minutes just trying to find our server and figure out which table we were sitting at despite me telling them I could say exactly what we ordered and pointed directly at our table. What should have been a nice breakfast/lunch turned into almost 2 hours of waiting for disappointing food and we all left in a bad mood. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible. It took an hour to get our food, then when we finally got it, things were undercooked and tasted half assed. The home fries were mashed potatoes, the scrambled eggs were partially soft in parts of the middle. I get it's Father's Day and it's busy, but plenty of restaurants can provide good quality food on a holiday. Then the manager wants to semi argue with me when I tell her it's been over an hour, stating we ordered at 11:40....yes and now it's passed 12:40, I know how long an hour is. She also told us at one point our food was in the window and would be right out, then proceeds to ask us if we ordered kids meals, which we did not, and we still have to wait another 20 minutes. Did not even come to the table and check on us or offer us refills while we waited so long. Total shit service. The kitchen staff is trash here. First time here.. excited to finally try it out since usually the wait is pretty long. I got off first and checked how long the wait was for 3. The host told me it was 15 minutes. I told her yes right away. Gave her my name and phone number to be added onto the waitlist. She informed me that I would get a text and phone call when the table was ready. She also forewarned me that the phone call might be from a scam likely phone number. I'm glad she told me that otherwise I wouldn't have answered. I stepped out to wait for my husband and son to join me when the host came out looking for me. She asked for my phone number again since what she had wasn't going through. I thought that was great customer service because it was pretty loud in the restaurant. My husband, son, and I waited less than 15 minutes, got called in and seated right away. Our server Juan was excellent. He took our order and food came out right away. I had the Sope Benedict. I wasn't sure what to expect. I took my first bite and it was pretty tasty. I'd had a couple of really good breakfasts with a pal - around 9:00 am on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I kind of built it up to my wife, telling her she'd love it. She didn't. And neither did I. On our midday Friday visit everything was cold, my overcooked scrambled eggs were rubbery and her pancakes were heavy and her hash browns cold.
