The Bloody Mary's with Vodka were the BOMB as my wife and mother in law loved them. The Arnold Palmers were not good at all. They mixed pink lemonade which is a no no. My wife had the Eggs Benedict, which were okay but the hollandaise sauce was bland and needed flavor. My mother in law had the steak and eggs and her steak was overcooked and dry. My daughter had the hash skillet and they forgot her eggs. I had the meat lovers skillet and the cheese on was a little funky tasting. However, the homemade biscuits are to die for. How do I even start this? First, the actual look and feeling of this place was actually very nice and the atmosphere was exciting, it was busy and I was expecting the food to match. We were seated with a party of 5 after 20 minutes which was good, and we had our drinks and our orders taken almost immediately. The problem comes with the time it took to actually get our food, it took about 50 minutes to get our food so almost an hour. While my table and I watched other families and guests who were seated after us get their food. I'd like to also mention one of my friends just got steel cut oats, that came out even later than the rest. Which in my opinion is a little absurd. I got the huevos rancheros and while it was not bad, it didn't taste like much and was definitely not worth the wait. My mom had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were actually pretty good. The interior was crowded, the 2 of us got seated at a really small table, and the seat was dirty. We ordered the Mom Omelette, El Fuego Omelette, and a regular coffee. No joke the Mom Omelette is one of the worst breakfast Omelette I have ever had here in SoCal, it was SO bland, the veggies inside had no seasoning, and no cheese either (I had the same dish in Vegas and it was AMAZING). The Fuego Omelette was not 'fuego' at all, the chorizo was so chewy and not crumbly, the texture was completely off. The omelette itself breaks easily on both. I had the chance to express that we really didn't like the food when our server came by to ask if we wanted any boxes, but she just nodded and asked again if we wanted a box. I had such a bizarre experience here, I signed up for Yelp just to leave a review about this place. I went on a Sunday at noon. It was really busy and crowded but we were still seated in 20 minutes which is the only positive experience I had here. First of all, our first impression of service was terrible. My family is very patient and understanding of service workers, as all of us have worked in this industry, and we were still very disappointed. Our server was nice and the busboys were very polite, but the hostess and cohost were completely rude. I assumed it was because of the high volume of people, which would also help me understand if they were a bit distracted, but when we got the text saying our table was ready, they both completely ignored my party of 2 to seat two other parties that blatantly cut in front of us. We were patiently standing to the side of the hosts stand, and they didn't even look at us until I asked why they weren't assisting us. Secondly, it's so loud in here. You have to shout over each other to have any conversation. I wasn't expecting a totally quiet environment but the design jam packs such a small space, it creates a very chaotic atmosphere. Finally, the food was very unappetizing. I got the Cali Breakfast Burrito. My side of rice was cold, the potatoes are unseasoned, and the burrito itself was not good. It's mush wrapped in a tortilla. My aunt got the Hash Scramble and again, the flavorless potatoes take so much away from the dish. The only reason I'm giving this place above 1 star is because it was our first time here and the menu looks yummy, so I know there are other plates that hopefully redeem themselves but geez. The only thing I appreciated about our meal are the huge cups they give you for fountain drinks and water because I feel bad making servers run back and forth for refills during a busy rush. I have a party of 6 total and it was our 1st time here since the foods-and drinks looked good. The foods and drinks were great but what can I say about the service here at this location. We recently had breakfast as a party of six. We requested separate checks. The waiter informed us the separate checks had a surcharge. We separated in pairs of two so they only had to do three checks. When we received our bills, we were charged surcharges as well as an 18% forced tip. For each bill, the surcharge happened to be the exact same amount as the tip. So basically they got double tips . they argued this was their policy. I ChatGPT it and you do not have to forcibly pay a tip. is illegal and the surcharges were way too high! we each paid double the amounts for our bills. Way overpriced for the food and the service.
